Artistic influences and news Interaction and influence between artistic creation and news formats
Zandálková, Marie ; Solčáni, Ján (referee) ; Čermák, Aleš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the production of an "intuitive" news format, the form of which responds to the general flood and information flood to which news recipients are exposed. The creative process consisted of recycling the published information for two reasons. The first was the intention not to contribute to information and sensory noise. The second was the intention to transform intelligence information into a form that takes away its intensity and the character of the "stressor". The creation of a personal "remix" of information was governed by procedures based on surrealist and Dadaist traditions. The key was not a pre-created concept, but intuition. The aim was to find a more intimate treatment of information, whether public or personal, to create a meditative medium from overwhelming. The work builds on an experiment with audiovisual and textual means of expression.
(Now what?)
Šťastná, Kateřina ; Chamonikolasová, Kaliopi (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is touch. The work builds on the fascination with touch, analyzes how different contents can be associated with a gesture that symbolizes something very subtle, fleeting and even fleeting, but at the same time can elicit a very intense and calmly long-lasting response. The output of the bachelor's thesis is a figural sculpture, the prototype of which is the author herself at the age of ten. By depicting a girl's body at an age when it is physically beginning to transform into a woman's body, I ephasizis the touch in its inconsistency, perhaps subtly uncertain the audience and raise questions focused on what the touch means to us.
Power imbalance in caring families
Neubauerová, Eva ; Jeřábek, Hynek (advisor) ; Remr, Jiří (referee)
This thesis Power imbalance in caring families dealing with the issue of power in the care situation, where a cherished person is mother and caring is her own daughter. The theoretical part conceptualizes terms, such as the power, the power imbalance or ambivalence. In the practical part own qualitative research of caretakers (mothers of caring daughters) is presented. It was found that ambivalence maternal care situation leads to ambivalence in daughters. The key variables in the model of power imbalances is the mother's acceptance of the need for care and a composition of household. The answers of the respondents indicate that if the household is in addition to the mother and daughters yet another member (for respondents, it was always about her husband), there is much more conflicts, which tend to have very intensive course. Relationships in these families are not described as harmonious and daughters speak to disrupt family cohesion due care. The survey also shows that an imbalance of power could be the right latent variable that was missing in the empirical studies, because it was measured in particular through the manifest variables. Keywords ambivalence, authority, autonomy, coding, the power, the power imbalance, cherished mother, home care, caring daughter
"I am not a looser that lives only in this bup" Bar Etnography.
Mazáková, Tereza ; Zandlová, Markéta (advisor) ; Halbich, Marek (referee)
Title: 'I'm not a looser that lives only in this pub.' Bar ethnography Keywords: bar, alcohol, meaning, guests, norms, students, ambivalence. Abstract: Goals: to understand the meaning of bar visits and activities that take place in bars. Method: Qualitative research using the methods of participatory observations and semi- structured interviews. Conclusions: A bar is common place in which people choose to spend their free time. It is thought of as a place full of fun, consumption, and social interaction. It forms an important part of free time activities. Alternative free time activities are commonly connected to boredom and loneliness especially by individuals without stable social circles outside of bars. Evenings in bars tend to be stereotypical, especially for frequent visitors. The stereotypical environment is a source of much ambivalence. It carries many positive effects (such as stability, certainty, security, anticipation, and known environment) but can be also perceived negatively (boredom, stagnation). A bar is in the Czech cultural context regarded as an ordinary part of life of people maturing to adulthood. Feelings of inappropriateness can arise in case of a long transition to adulthood. This increases the range of ambivalences towards the bar environment as well as towards the activities...

Ambivalence in Jung's Relationship to Christianity
Dobrodenková, Monika ; Halík, Tomáš (advisor) ; Růžička, Jiří (referee)
The subject of this thesis is to summarize and interpret Jung's relationship towards Christianity in its ambivalent manifestations. First, the very psychological concept of ambivalence is discussed, as it was relatively new in Jung's time. The starting points to the interpretation of Jung's relations toward Christianity are both his theoretical works and personal memories, most prominently from childhood, when his stance toward Christianity was formed. Presented material is then assessed on the psychological and theological-philosophical levels. It turns out that the psychological assessment cannot be, in Jung's case, clearly separated from his theoretical opinions, inasmuch some theorist conjecture that all the Jung's theory of the spiritual development is implicitly motivated by his psychological need to cope with his traumatic childhood. For this purpose, several distinct interpretations of Jung's memories from different psychological and religionistic-psychological stances are reviewed. Jung's ambivalent relationship toward Christianity appears to be based in his ambivalent relationship with his parents. On the theological-philosophical level, a tension between his high admirations of Christian tradition on one side, with simultaneous struggle to reform this tradition, often so radically that...

Characteristic of Charles Perrault's Fairy Tales
Šuráňová, Kateřina ; Pohorský, Aleš (advisor) ; Voldřichová - Beránková, Eva (referee)
The theme of this work is the characteristic of fairy tales of French writer Charles Perrault. The aim of the analysis is to refute a clear polarization of fairy tales' characters and shows their ambivalence. Further, the work explores the moral significance of the stories and their impact on readers, discusses the morals of tales attached to the end, looks for if the author during his work was inspired by the texts and if the characters themselves are the bearers of moral message. The paper is divided into three parts. In the first chapter there is created a primary character typology. The study characterizes the fabulous hero in terms of mental and physical characteristics, social status and material security, interpersonal relations and polarization. In this part we can already see the fact that the characters can not be clearly divided into positive and negative ones, they should be further classified as neutral heroes. Moreover, the analysis finds out the fact that in fairy tales in verse miraculous element is not necessary, it is essential for the storyline only in Ridiculous wishes. In fairy tales in verse, the existence of supernatural powers is inevitable. The chapter is crucial for further analysis of the figures in following chapters. The second chapter deals with the polarization of...
