The Decentralisation of the Urban Planning Process Demonstrated on Example of the Agglomeration of Brno
Tichý, Jan ; Májek, Jan (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the determination of main changes in the urban planning process to allow for a better and more effective urban design. It applies the work of the Austrian School of Economics on urban planning and regulations. It critically reviews current system of urban planning, it's hierarchy, decision-making process, the role of public, and the role of private ownership and investment. It aims to offer a solution for an improvement in various fields of urban development. Results of this work are applied on an example of the agglomeration of Brno.
Granulating machine of phosphate powder
Kománek, Jiří ; Mazal, Pavel (referee) ; Brandejs, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this project is to create a suitable machine for granulation of phosphate powders. Production requirements to this machine are 4.5 t/h with 1-2 mm granularity. The list of all possible machines is introduced in first part of this paper. Measurement results of five different phosphate powders were summarized in the second part of the paper. These results specify requirements to the selected machine. In the third and last section the list of all recent companies offering granular technologies was set up.
Development of pelletization conditions for secondary energy products
Burešová, Eliška ; Batelka,, Michal (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the use of secondary energy products. The teorethical part describes methods of separation of fine particles, characteristics and properties of secondary energy products and equipment suitable for pelletizing. On the basis of the theoretical part, the practical part designed and created suitable conditions for pelletizing two types of secondary energy products, namely brick dust and fly ash. These suggestions have been verified and both feedstocks and resulting pellets were tested. In accordance with the results, it is possible to say that the pelletized raw material has better properties than the raw material in its original powder state.
Nanoparticle treatment technology to improve their dispersibility for use in cemt composites
Závacký, Jakub ; Sťahel,, Pavel (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the possibility of using the addition of nanoparticles to improve the properties of cement composites. The theoretical part summarizes the findings of research in this area with a focus on methods of dispersion of nanoparticles and their treatment for use in cement composites. The experimental part focuses on the comparison of methods of dispersion and plasma treatment of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanoparticle solutions from the point of view of the agglomeration process. During this work, a method of systematic optical/visual monitoring of sedimentation/agglomeration was developed to complement sophisticated methods such as spectrophotometry (UV/Vis) and electron microscopy (SEM). Furthermore, the effect of the addition of rGO on the properties of cement mortar, in the form of aqueous solutions prepared by the dispersion methods determined in the previous section, was investigated.

Investments in traffic safety measures in the selected agglomeration
KÁLALOVÁ, Iva
Thesis is focused on investments in traffic safety measures in the selected agglomeration České Budějovice. Includes a theoretical background focused on the introduction to the issues of transport and its negative externalities, in particular traffic accidents. The objective of this work is to assess the specific investment in traffic safety measures on the basis of data on traffic accidents in correlation with the amount of economic losses according to the type of consequences of accidents. The result is an assessment of the identified losses for the individual years and the subsequent appreciation of the investment. A partial aim of the work is the design of specific traffic safety measures, based on the needs of your chosen conurbations, including an assessment of options of investment in these measures. Through the calculation of the values of the indicators relative to accidents at selected intersections, was created to draft a specific traffic safety measures for the intersection, which showed the greatest deficiencies in terms of safety.

Current development of suburbanization of the city of České Budějovice
ZEMÁNKOVÁ, Petra
Thesis is a continuation of research of suburbanization is held in recent years at the Department of Geography PF JU in the České Budějovice. First, the characteristics of selected aspects of geographic environment of agglomeration České Budějovice associated with suburbanization. Next, the paper analyzes the foreign and Czech literature of suburbanization in post-socialist countries, and yet elaborated study of suburbanization in the hinterland of České Budějovice. The finish of the thesis is to evaluate the latest developments in the construction of housing, commuting to work and migration in settlements around the near hinterland of České Budějovice between 2011-2014 (prior periods are already developed) and define the various types of suburbs here, semisuburbs, smalls towns in agglomeration and even other types of settlements. Suburbanization ceded to other areas of near hinterland of the city of České Budějovice. The existing 48 suburbs added 7 new suburbs, there are also a new semisuburbs. File of smalls towns of agglomeration did not spread. Part of the thesis are tables with data for the settlemensts variously affected by suburbanization, map and photos.
Influence of grinding technology on the properties of blended cements with pozzolanic components.
Dočkal, Jakub ; Smetanová,, Lenka (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to summarize and assess the possibility of using recycled glass in the manufacture of blended portland cements. Work was focused on examining the possibilities to improve pozzolanic properties of recycled glass with new milling processes. The formation of agglomerates material during the course of grinding and their subsequent effect on the hydration process of binders has been also examining. Part of the thesis was also focused on grindability of materials and determination of using separate or inters grinding.
