Small and medium-sized business complex Víchov
Žůrková, Anna ; Kříž, Aleš (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is the design of complex for small and medium sized businesses in village Víchov, situated in Plzeňský kraj. The initial idea was the creation of new work opportunities, which are considerably limited in the neighbouring area. The complex consists of two factory floors and an administration building, that is a subject of the project documentation. Each factory floor consists of six connectable units, which are sheathed in grey sandwich panels and visually differentiated by translucent coloured polycarbonate panels under the gable roof with a V cut out of it. Same motive is used for roof above the entrance hall of the administration building, and should evoke the first letter of the village, that the complex is situated in – Víchov. In the already mentioned entrance hall there is a spiral steel staircase, which is resolved as the architectural detail as the separate part of the thesis. For sheathing of the administration building is used a ventilated facade system from brick blocks, which in combination with painted steel and glass entrance hall evokes industry in its purest form. Flat roofs of the side wings of the administration building are designed as vegetative to minimize the loss of greenery because of building-up of the area and as a more responsible way to preserve rainwater. Complex is designed to enable easy access and transportation within and in and out of the complex not only for automobiles but also for trucks, to ensure the parking lots for workers and visitors of the complex and to enable transport by foot between the buildings with exploit of sidewalks and outdoor staircases. Part of the design is also replenishing the greenery and creating a new tree colonnade that should at least partially eliminate the noise from the service of the complex.
Industrial Bakery Brno
Kubišová, Simona ; Petr,, Suchánek (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis was the development of project documentation of the new administration building belonging to the industrial bakery for the company Herold. The project is based on the concept of studio work created during the 6th semester of the bachelor's degree. The building is located on an undeveloped brownfield in the southeast of Brno in the Černovice district. The proposed object is located at the end of the only existing, as yet unnamed road, leading through the brownfield, that connects to Švédske valy street. The object has 3 masses forming the shape of the approximate letter T with dimensions of 73.250 × 61.130 m and an approximate height of 8.300 m. The handling yard and vehicle parking are located behind the building so that they do not disturb the frontal view of the building. The essential point of the design was to build the smallest possible area, to design the building in a space-saving manner and to use the modular system. The largest mass belongs to the bakery industry. It is connected to it via a lower connecting neck by the administration building, which is the same height as the production hall. Three flour silos are located from the viewing side in front of the production hall, and as a typical object inherently connected to the bakery, they also serve as an identifier of what kind of industrial object it is. Due to the flatness and vastness of the industrial building, a vertical division is used on the facade. On the production hall by vertical laying of heat-insulating panels and windows, on the administration building by vertical segmentation of the facade with windows and facade panels. The concept of the facade consists in the creation of an eye-catching facade with the use of subtle irregularity, thereby achieving differentiation from the usual austere appearance of many industrial buildings.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is a proposal of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The theme of the Embassy is based on the assignment of the international student competition Inspireli from 2019, where the proposal was placed in the finals among the TOP 25 projects from around the world. The Embassy serves primarily for the diplomatic representation of the Czech Republic in this country. The mission of the Embassy is to represent the cultural level of the state and the traditions of Czech architecture. It will be a place where foreign countries can learn basic information about the history, culture and economy of the Czech Republic. The design took into account the local conditions and typology requirements of the Embassy. The protected area of the Embassy consists of three operationally separate buildings, namely the administrative building with the consular and visa department, the apartment building of the embassy staff and the ambassador's residence. In a separate part of the protected area, there are social flats of local forces, which are employees of the Embassy. This part is separated by a communication corridor, which serves as an entrance for local forces. The main entrance to the complex is located from the east and north from the public road. The entrance takes place through a double check-up at the gatehouse. The parking lot for diplomatic visitors and employees is located in the northern part of the complex or in the underground garage. Parking for regular visitors is located outside the complex. The large complex also provides space for rest, recreation and sports. The offices of the administrative building have east/west- facing orientation. The building has two floors and a basement with an underground garage. The habitable rooms of the apartment building and the ambassador's residence have south-facing orientation. The buildings have two floors and a bas
Industrial Park with Aministration Building
Krupa, Jakub ; Dohnal, Jakub (referee) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
This master thesis focuses on the design and elaboration of project documentation for the purpose of constructing Industrial park with administration building consisting of two parts, SO 01 – Administration building and SO 02 – Industrial building. The two objects are situated on the plot No. 715/1, in the cadastre unit Vrbno pod Pradědem located on an undeveloped land of the investor. The exit from the parking lot connects to the local traffic infrastructure. Public infrastructure leads in proximity to the land. The design of the construction respects local zoning plan. Project documentation was made in compliance with up-to-date requirements according to valid standards and regulations. The building is functionally divided into two objects, SO 01 and SO 02, which are operationally and structurally connected. Constructions of both objects are statically independent. The object SO 01, partially accessible to the public, is used for administrative tasks and staff facilities. Also, there is a sample room available to the public, gatehouse and warehouses. The object SO 02 is purposed for the production of plastic windows and solar panels. It mainly consists of areas used for production, but there is also an office for the master, a machine room for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) and staff facilities. The object SO 01 is designed from a wall structural system from clay masonry, clay ceilings, strip foundation and a flat roof. The object SO 02 is designed as a full-metal prefabricated object with a saddle roof and foundation pads. The construction system of this object consists of steel columns. Plan dimensions of SO 01 are 25x14 metres. Building envelope is made from clay blocks, 440 mm in width, filled with mineral wool. Plan dimensions of SO 02 are 66,9x22,9 metres. Object’s curtain walling is made from prefabricated sandwich panels containing a core from PUR material.
Steel structure of a multi-functional building
Havíř, František ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis is to design the steel construction of a multifunctional building in the cadastral area of Brno-Bohunice. Multifunctional building consists of two identical buildings - A and B. Floor plan dimensions are 40.0 x 40.0 meters and height of 33,8 meters. Both objects have the 1st floor of the overall height of 5,0 m, each additional floors 3,5 m. The plan shape of the building is a square 40 x 40 m with bevel in the corners with a length of 8 m. In the middle of the building is roofed atrium 8 x 8 m. The buildings are in the 5th floor connected with the enclosed footbridge with a length of 10.0 meters. The main structure consists of two buildings columns and girders. Columns are alternatively solved as the composite steel and concrete structures with closed section filled with concrete or concreted steel profile. The girders are made of castellated beams. Among the girders are embedded solid panel joists and girders, coupled with the composite steel and concrete slab. Spatial rigidity besides the composite slabs provide rods placed around the atrium and in the corners of the building. The main structure of the footbridge consists of two inclined arched beams on which is placed stringer of the footbridge.
