Role of Plasticity in Nitinol Fatigue
Simulace metodou konečných prvků poskytují komplementární informace o průběhu napětí, deformací a martensitické transformaci, zejména o vývoji jednotlivých složek celkové deformace, tj. elastické a plastické, a vývoji zbytkového pnutí a s ním souvisejícím zbytkovým martensitem.

Processing of NiTi alloy by SLM technology
Lukačovič, Samuel ; Dočekalová, Kateřina (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
This thesis deals with development of process parameters suitable for processing nickel titanium alloy, also known as nitinol, using technology Selective laser melting. The main goal of this thesis is development of process parameters capable of producing dense and thin wall parts. Minor goals are description of effect of process parameters on chemical composition, thermomechanical and mechanical properties of printed parts. By analyzing the experiments carried out on single tracks, dense parts and thin walls, the optimal combination of process parameters was able to be determined. Using this combination, it was possible to produce non-porous dense and thin wall parts, which exhibit superelasticity under load. The effects of process parameters on nickel evaporation and transition temperatures were described using analyses of thermal response and chemical composition.

Untraditional Actuators Sma Type -Modeling Of Hysteresis
Vašina, Michal
The shape memory materials are known since first half of the twentieth century. The example of these materials could be a Shape Memory Alloys (SMA). Because of their attributes, the engineers usually call them a „smart materials“. The SMA can be used in many static or dynamic applications for example in problem of actuators. Thanks to the SMA materials sophistication and associated shape memory effect, there are some issues (hysteresis, degradation etc.), which can complicate their prospective usage. The attributes of SMA classified these actuators to the category of non-linear system with hysteresis. This article deals with the SMA use and potential hysteresis modeling approaches. Several model examples are discussed.

The Common Mechanical Factor of Shape Memory
Kafka, Vratislav ; Vokoun, David
Shape memory is observed in elastic bodies, springs, bi-metals, in many mechanical actuators, such as thermostats and others, in many biological materials, and in special "shape memory alloys". It is shown that all systems or materials have one common factor: at least one elastic or thermoelastic continuous substructure, in the case of "shape memoryalloys" this substructure is on the atomic scale.
