Usage of Petr Horáček's books in dramatical education at work with children in preschool age

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of using Petr Horáček's books in drama education with preschool children. The theoretical part characterizes the development of the preschool child. At the same time, it defines dramatic education, its specifics in kindergarten, the goals and the personality of the teacher. Then the methods and techniques of dramatic education, its connection with literature, criteria for the selection of literature and appropriate literary genres for preschool age. The last chapter is devoted to Petr Horáček and his books, on which the drama lessons in the practical part are based on. The practical part consists of ten lessons on chosen books, which are: Silly Suzy Goose, The Mouse who ate the moon, A Best Friend for Bear, Blue penguin, The Best Place in the World, The Perfect Present, The Greedy goat, The Mouse who wasn't scared, Puffin Peter and Elephant. The lessons are implemented in one heterogeneous group of children in preschool age. These lessons explore how can books be used practically in dramatical education. After the implementation of all lectures, reflection and dialogue with children is conducted, looking for understanding of recent lesson which is evaluated afterwards. Philosophizing about books from Petr Horáček with children

The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the topic of philosophizing with children. This skill can be helpful in developing their critical thinking. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to verify the possibilities of using children's books by the author Petr Horáček for philosophizing with children. For this purpose, discussions on selected books will be held with the children. The work contains a methodological plan for philosophizing with children about Petr Horáček's books, a description of the implementation and an evaluation, in which the author will monitor the children's interest in the selected books and the development of the discussion according to predetermined criteria. The theoretical part is dedicated to philosophy for children, techniques, methods and working with questions. Contemporary children's literature is mentioned, while the specific Bilderbuch literary genre is described in more detail. Finally, it also focuses on Petr Horáček himself and his literary work. The practical part describes the plan for philosophizing with children about selected books by Petr Horáček. Short discussions and other activities are included. The implementation is analyzed and the resulting conclusions are presented here.
Analysis of Petr Horáček´s Literary Work and its Use in the Kindergarten

The thesis deals with the life and work of the world-famous children's book author Petr Horáček and the use of his works in kindergarten education. The theoretical part introduces contemporary children's literature to the reader, summarises the life of Petr Horáček, and his inspiration and presents his most famous titles. The empirical part of the thesis includes detailed analyses of two selected titles. This analysis was conducted to provide the best basis for developing methodological material for kindergarten teachers. The empirical part also includes creation and implementation of two week-long lesson plans developer based on the previous analysis, inlcuding their final reflection and assessment of achieving the expected outcomes.
