Universal Tester for Verifying Industrial Internet of Things Communication Modules
Fabulec, Martin ; Paluřík, Pavel (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
The Master thesis is devoted to the verification of a platform for testing communication modules in the context of the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT). The aim is to provide an indepth analysis and comparison of modern Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) and (LTECat-M), and determine their use in different IoT scenarios. Their commonalities are described as well as different parameters. The work includes a detailed investigation and evaluation of the available communnification modules, where the main focus is on their key parameters and differences. The thesis also focuses on the practical aspects of implementing and testing these technologies, the design of the BC660K-GL module and its subsequent functional verification. After functional verification, it was subjected to measurements focused on radio boundary conditions. The thesis opens the door to a better understanding and use of IoT technologies in industry and explores the challenges and opportunities presented by their rapid development.
Intelligent Energy Measurements for Homeowners' Association Using 5G Networks
Horčička, Patrik ; Možný, Radek (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
Theoretical analysis of IoT communication technologies LPWAN. A more detailed analysis of 5G-IoT technologies in the licensed frequency band, such as NB-IoT and LTE Cat-M. List of supported application protocols for IoT devices (MQTT, CoAP, LwM2M, DLMS/COSEM) with more detailed information about DLMS/COSEM. Quectel UMTS \& LTE EVB kit with BG770A-GL module was used to create the first reference 5G-IoT device. Measuring of radio properties in two locations. Creation of TLS tunnel for communication between Virtual computer and RPI designed for DLMS/COSEM data.
Representation and processing of genomic signals
Pitner, Vít ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Valla, Martin (advisor)
This project deals with methods of representation and processing of genomic signals. The first part of this thesis describe linear expression of the sequence and statistical description of the sequence. For this purpose was used the real data, retrieved from public database, specifically the gene sequence of human chromosome Y. In the second part of the thesis are explained some methods of processing and representation of genomic signals. The following part describes a program designed for the processing sequence and is tested for short genomic sequences retrieved from public databases.
Fractal of DNA sequence data
Nedvěd, Jiří ; Čech, Petr (referee) ; Valla, Martin (advisor)
This project is looking for fractal structury in DNA sequence data, which be maped in square ACGT. First, this project is introduced in problematics of fractals and targeted on making of Sierpinski gasket. Second, the project is introduced in DNA and DNA sequence. Next is sketched now known fractal’s structures in DNA sequence data or fractal’s structure closed DNA sequence. Then will changed metod chaos game of Sierpinski gasket to square ACGT, in where will drawen map of DNA sequences. Next, these pictures will processed by Box Counting Method and Power Spectrum Method.

Effect of adaptive mutations on persister formation in Staphylococcus aureus
Hloucalová, Nikola ; Lichá, Irena (advisor) ; Buriánková, Karolina (referee)
Persistence represents a transient state during which are bacterial cells able to survive antibiotic treatment. Only a small subpopulation of cells enter this state, these cells are then capable of causing disease recurrence. The size of a persister subpopulation is influenced by adaptive mutations formed during a chronic disease in genes related to transition of cells between a virulent form and biofilm formation. Regulation of entering and exiting persistence is also influenced by intercellular communication and by molecules produced into the cell surroundings. It is assumed that this effect is caused by PSM modulines and AIP molecules which take part in Quorum sensing mechanism. The main aim of this thesis was to clarify how adaptive mutations of clinical isolates obtained from two patients diagnosed with cystic fibrosis influence the ability to persist. Another aim was to determine changes in membrane potential and metabolic aktivity while entering persistence and to establish the effect of extracellular molecules produced into the culture medium on growth parameters of the studied isolates. By using techniques of TD test and establishment of persistence rate by CFU determination, it was found that the isolates obtained from patient 2 did not acquire adaptive mutations affecting persistence...
Narrowband Internet Of Things: Prototype Design And Hands-On Experiences
Stusek, Martin ; Pokorný, Jiří
With the IoT (Internet of Things) and upcoming next-generation communication systems, demand for low-power devices keeps growing on the worldwide scale. This paper presents a design of a universal device prototype for LPWAN (Low-PowerWide Area Network) technology called NB-IoT (Narrow Band Internet of Things), the latest member of the 3GPP family standardized in Release 13. Prototype board and its components are introduced alongside with the application that controls all the elements and the communication. In the end, initial measurements of power consumption, transmission reliability and delay are shown and evaluated.
