Optimization of network entity reputation system

This thesis addresses the problem of designing and reimplementing a Network Entity Reputation Database (NERD) to the Dynamic Profile Processing Platform (DP3). This thesis presents the design of the new NERD system and its data model. The non-functioning parts of the system are removed, and those that will also be needed on the new platform are selected. A proposal is then made for adapting them to DP. The data model has been designed based on the original version, which has been improved and converted to the DP3 platform. The outcome of this endeavour is a reputation system that is operational on a more general platform. This facilitates future extensions.
User interface for asset management system

This thesis focuses on the development of a web user interface for an asset management system called Amfora. Amfora gathers data regarding IP addresses, services and vulnerabilities from 9 other systems. The user interface is based on three tier architecture utilizing REST API. Frontend implementation uses the Vue.js framework (TypeScript/JavaScript language) and backend implementation uses the FastAPI framework (Python language). The system has been deployed into production use in the CESNET network and presented to the security operations center team in CESNET. Amfora has significantly simplified work in solving security incidents and network monitoring.
Modern Web Interface of NERD System

This thesis deals with the issue of designing a modern web interface for an existing system of a database of malicious network entities. The thesis describes the design of a new user interface and also addresses the changes in the existing NERD system, which had to be adapted to the needs of the new web interface. The changes to the existing system were based on expanding the previous functionality in the Python language and the Flask framework. Vue.js (a JavaScript framework) was used to implement the new web interface. This thesis also presents an improved user management with support for external identity providers. The final result of the thesis is a usable modern web interface for the NERD system, which preserves the functionality of the original interface and further extends it.
Toxic Masculinity in Live Action Cinematography: The Big Bang Theory Case Study

This thesis is concerned with expressions of toxic masculinity in television acting, illustrated on the case study of the television show The Big Bang Theory. This work sets the term toxic masculinity in the context of masculinity studies and draws on the theory of hegemonic masculinity formulated by the Australian sociologist Raewyn Connell. Her theory assumes the existence of multiple, hierarchically ordered masculinities, with hegemonic masculinity - considered by some authors tobe synonymous with toxic masculinity - on top. This work also surveys the history of the representation of the male hero from the early days of American cinema up to the present, as the empirical section deals primarily with an American television show. Special emphasis is put on the "nerd" character, who represents non- hegemonic masculinity and thus does not tend to be associated with expressions of toxic masculinity, although he is also guilty of this behavior. The aim of this thesis was to use qualitative content analysis to identify manifestations of toxic masculine behavior by the nerd characters of the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory and to determine how this behavior differs from that of the "jock" character, an embodiment of hegemonic masculinity.
