Comprehensive nursing care of the patient with gallbladder disease from perspective of nurse and patient
HLINŠŤÁKOVÁ, Lucie
This bachelor thesis deals with comprehensive nursing care for patients with gallbladder diseases. The aim of the work was to find out how not only the patient but also the nurse looks at preoperative and postoperative care. Four objectives were set in the work, as the first "Map the comprehensive preoperative preparation before gallbladder surgery in the surgical department from the nurse's point of view." after the gallbladder surgery in the surgical ward from the nurse's point of view." And fourth "Map postoperative care after gallbladder surgery in the surgical ward from the patient's perspective." A qualitative research survey using a semi-structured interview technique was chosen for data collection. The research group consisted of patients who underwent gallbladder surgery and nurses working in the surgical department. It turned out that patients do not really perceive the preoperative sequence of nursing care, but rather follow the instructions of nurses. Further investigation has shown that all patients know the principles they must follow after discharge from the hospital (diet, wound care, rehabilitation), which testifies to the quality education of nurses. The results for nurses show that nurses know the principles of preoperative and postoperative care. The results of the research pointed to the insufficient psychological support of the patient by the nurses. The nurses perceive this problem, which according to them is related to the lack of staff and thus also the time per patient. The bachelor's thesis, as a recommendation for practice, showed that it is necessary to create a time reserve in the work of nurses so that they can also focus on the psychological support of patients.
The readiness of chosen kindergartens in the emergency planning zone of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant
HÁJKOVÁ, Lucie
The thesis is based on the assessment of the readiness of staff in selected kindergartens in the emergency planning zone of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. Kindergartens associate a large number of young children who are dependent on the help of adults. Even in the event of a radiation accident, children will not be able to take care of themselves and will clearly be dependent on the help of teachers. For this reason the readiness of staff of this type of school facility in the emergency planning zone should not be underestimated. The aim of the thesis was to analyze the knowledge of staff in selected kindergartens (Dříteň, Zliv, Albrechtice nad Vltavou, Neznašov) in the emergency planning zone of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. For this purpose was established a hypothesis: "The knowledge of the staff of selected kindergartens in the emergency planning zone of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant will be higher than 60 %." To achieve the set goal and to verify the hypothesis a questionnaire survey was conducted using a developed questionnaire. The questionnaire contained 19 questions, and total 55 respondents took part in the questionnaire. Then were the results evaluated using methods of descriptive and mathematical statistics. The hypothesis was confirmed that the knowledge of the staff of selected kindergartens is higher than 60 %. The arithmetic average of staff knowledge in selected kindergartens in the emergency planning zone of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant was 61.47 %. I consider the current state of knowledge of staff in selected kindergartens to be sufficient, but the results showed insufficient knowledge in the areas of improvised body protection and iodine prophylaxis.
The education options and services offered to support the personal development of children with Down syndrome in Ceske Budejovice.
SUKDOLOVÁ, Božena
The thesis studies the education options and services offered to support the personal development of children with Down syndrome in Ceske Budejovice. The aim of this study was to gain insight into the methods of education and the range of services available to support the personal development of children with Down syndrome. The provision of education is one of the main functions of a modern state and a nation's education is an expression of its cultural level and maturity. An excess chromosome is responsible for the characteristic appearance and developmentally conditioned traits. Compared with intact children, children with trisomy 21 show generally slower mental and motoric development, but each child's personality, temperament and talents are unique. A qualitative research to meet the objectives of the thesis and to verify the research hypotheses was concluded in the form of interviews with parents, who were asked specific questions. The interviews were recorded on an answer sheet. Another data collection method used was a questionnaire, which featured questions formed based on both the theoretical part and the information obtained during the interviews. The questionnaire included items to identify the respondent's personal data as well as items investigating the respondent's attitude and opinions on the matter. The last method used was a document analysis. Data for the analysis were drawn from websites, research literature and individual education plans. The purposive research sample consisted of 10 parents of children with Down syndrome living in the district of Ceske Budejovice. The research showed that parents of children with DS deemed their children's education very important and that they are interested in the education opportunities. All participants in the research group are educated in special primary schools or attend mainstream educational institutions. The interviews with the parents and the questionnaires revealed that the degree of integration in the education system is dependent on the ability of a particular individual, however, the trend is for their full participation in social and educational life of the intact group. It was also found that most children with Down syndrome spend time pursuing their interests, as most intact children do. Of particular importance for people with Down syndrome is the support for their skills' development. Depending on their needs, children with Down syndrome may also use any of the services provided by governmental and nongovernmental organizations. Theoretically, the amount of activities and therapies offer for the development of children with Down syndrome is sufficient. The reserch results correspond to the specific research objectives and research questions of this thesis.

Awareness of high school students in protection of population topic in Central Bohemia region
SOUKUPOVÁ, Adéla
In this thesis, secondary school students' awareness of the area of civil protection in the Central Bohemian Region was investigated. Every single person should be involved in individual areas of civil protection, taking into account the person's age. Every person is regularly exposed to extraordinary events of various types. Therefore, it is of primary importance to know how to behave under given circumstances. Thus, such an extraordinary event can be solved better and any negative consequences can be minimized. The best start is to familiarize children in kindergartens with the given issues appropriately, continue with pupils at elementary schools and deepen the information further with students at secondary schools. However, these days there is no regular training in the area of civil protection at secondary schools. Students today are, therefore, reliant upon one-time lectures or their own search for the required information. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on civil protection and its brief history in the Czech Republic as well as in foreign countries. The Concept of Civil Protection until 2020 with a View until 2030 is detailed herein. Furthermore, the current system of preventive educational activities and training at secondary schools is described herein. It is followed by definitions of several terms related to the area of civil protection (extraordinary event, emergency, integrated rescue system, warning and notification, evacuation, survival of citizens under emergency circumstances, individual protection, sheltering of citizens). The theoretical part of the thesis also includes the description of the fundamental methods of descriptive and mathematical statistics, which are applied in the subsequent chapter. The aim of the thesis consists in assessing the awareness of secondary school students in the Central Bohemian Region of the area of civil protection and in increasing their knowledge about the given issues. Two hypotheses were laid down: Hypothesis No. 1: The knowledge of secondary school students about the area of civil protection in the Central Bohemian Region is distributed normally. Hypothesis No. 2: Students from various types of secondary schools show statistically significant different levels of knowledge.
