Přerov jako místo pro kvalitní život
Levinská, Natálie
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the quality of life in Přerov from the perspective of its inhabitants. The above results are processed on the basis of a questionnaire survey, which took place in March 2021 among the inhabitants of the city through a social network. Contingency tables were used to evaluate the determined research questions and then the Pearson correlation coefficient was calculated. The results show that Přerov has certain shortcomings, especially in the area of security, transport, housing affordability or a lack of job opportunities. However, it excels positively in a number of areas, such as health care or social services or the availability of educational institutions. Based on the mentioned problem areas, recommendations were proposed that could contribute to improving the quality of life in the city, such as addressing investors, increasing the number of city police patrols or the construction of start-up housing.
Sídliště v kontextu městské krajiny
Šafářová, Monika
The project proposes a revitalisation of prefabricated panel housing estate in Brno - Bystrc that was constructed in the 80’s. The diploma work analyses this housing estate from a view of a landscape architect and it presents a proposal for a coherent revitalisation that would suit the current demands of the inhabitants. The relation to the natural landscape and their mutual connection is considered to be an important part of the proposal and is nowadays strongly limited by the traffic system. Special attention is focused on the ground floor of a building and surrounding area which is presented here as fundamental for achieving a healthier relation between the building and its environment. The proposal works with differentiating the levels of private and public instead of almost purely public situation that is present nowadays. It emphasises the habitable conditions of spaces and it also explores use of different forms of plants and vegetation.
Revitalizácia parku Joy Adamsonové v Opave
Petrúšková, Veronika
With the development of society and increasing the quality of life of its inhabitants, the requirements for the quality and attractiveness of public space are also increasing. Public space represents the city and the people who live in it. It creates the first impression of the city, and at the same time it is for the inhabitants what makes their city unique. It is an important part of everyday life and although it does not belong to anyone, it actually belongs to everyone. It serves people to meet each other, passively and actively spend their time, but also to develop people's relationship to nature, history, traditions and art. Public space should be open to all, but this does not mean that everyone must like it. Rather, it should be open to the diversity and opportunities that the future will bring. Such a public space can certainly be an attractive park in the city, which should be as diverse and complex as its users, should be a place of experience and diversity, should have its "local spirit" (genius loci) and people should feel comfortable in it and be proud of it.

Tvorba verejných priestorov mesta Bratislava
Štrba, Michal
The subject of the diploma thesis is to acquaint a reader with the philosophy of creating an urban public space. Based on the study of textual sources and subsequent starting points, in the form of an unencumbered, subjective opinion, the author tries to point out the appropriate principles of creation, which are not burdened by a dogmatic approach. By dividing the work into three parts, he gradually prepares the reader for the final part, where in the form of an architectural study, he presents his opinion on the material representation of the model area, which is not burdened by ossified and monotonous principles. The chronological layout of the graduation thesis can be understood as an analogy in design creation. In the final part of the literary recherche, the author, with reference examples from home and abroad, reveals to the reader a picture of a suitable solution for public spaces, on which he can observe the proven principles mentioned in the previous chapters. In the analytical part, the author deals with terrain surveys and analyses, the results of which are reflected in the design. The final part of the graduation thesis presents the solution of public space in the degree of architectural study. The aim of the study is to create a public space which, with its functional-spatial arrangement and program content, responds to the needs of the beneficiary in the center of the capital Bratislava.

Přidalová, Ivana ; Ouředníček, Martin (advisor) ; Drbohlav, Dušan (referee) ; Mulíček, Ondřej (referee)
1 Abstract Migration has been an inherent part of population development, and due to its role in shaping settlement system and societal changes also one of the key research interests of social geography. Due to the political regime and the limited movement across state borders, attention was predominantly given to internal migration in Czechia in the second half of the 20th century. Conversely, international migration has only been coming to the fore of academic debate since the 1990s. Despite the broad diversity of aspects of international migration in Czechia and the fact that the city has traditionally been the environment associated with the majority of immigrant population, little consideration has been given to the deeper understanding of the relationship between international migration, the presence of foreign citizens and the urban environment, especially foreigners' influence on socio-spatial differentiation and on social environment of particular urban locales. Czechia is a specific case: a country which was isolated from international migration for four decades became one of the main immigration countries in the post-socialist Central Europe after 1989. It represents a unique occasion to investigate the connection between international migration and the city in a previously unexplored environment...
