Foreign development assistance of the Czech republic - application on specific development project

This bachelor thesis deals with development aid of the Czech Republic. The first chapter focuses on Official development assistance including legislative background, history, individual forms and major recipients. Subsequently, the most important organizations related to development aid. The same will be applied on the example of the Czech Republic in the second chapter. Last part focuses on non-profit organization called People in Need, its function, sources of income and projects that this organization is engaged in. Specifically, the thesis focuses on the analysis of one particular project, Establishment of sustainable drinking water supply systems in small towns in the district zone of Sidama in Ethiopia.
Solidarity in Czech society (case study of organization)

The bachelor thesis deals with solidarity and its importance for society. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the degree of solidarity in the Czech society in a particular area. The aim is also to give the organization involved in this area recommendations for streamlining its activities. This work consists of a theoretical and practical part. The first chapters are mainly focused on solidarity in general. They explain the importance and division of solidarity by acclaimed authors. The central part of the thesis deals with solidarity in various areas of contemporary society. Greater attention is devoted to the negative effects of solidarity and involuntary solidarity developed by state interventions. The practical part is focused on the analysis of a particular organization. In conclusion, there are some recommendations for organizations proposed based on the analysis.
NGO networking within development cooperation: People In Need as a member of Alliance2015

The bachelor's thesis is focused on NGO networking within development cooperation. The aim of the work is to answer the following question: Why and how do non-governmental organisations such as People In Need become members of networks such as Alliance2015. The paper consists of theoretical background and empirical part. The theoretical background explains the substance of NGO networking and different aspects of NGO cooperation. The empirical part is made up by a case study based on own research and it is divided into two sections. In the first section, the theoretical background is applied to the example of Alliance2015, a strategic network of eight European NGOs. The second part deals with a Czech NGO People In Need, a member of this network.
