Optimalization of the flow of material in a pressing line at Siemens Electric Machines company

This thesis deals the optimalization flow of material in the press lines in company Siemens Electric Machines s.r.o. The thesis begins with theory of the flow of material and the Kanban method. After that thesis describe the issues which the company contend. In the next chapters the thesis The work contains general requirements for the assignment and optimization required by management and proposed possible solutions for optimizing material flow in the company. In the following chapters thesis solve the realisation of the chosen variant, for which Siemens Electric Machines to decided and the costs associated with implementation.
Numerical control of machine tools

This thesis is focused on numerical control of machine tools. Control systems are shortly compared. There are three biggest manufacturers: Siemens, Fanuc and Heidenhain. Especially user benefits and opportunities of workshop programming are compared. The second part is focused on the choice of control system for the selected machine tool. I am applying the knowledge and the conclusions which I have reached in comparing different control systems. I chose two alternatives of the control system based from entered requests for the chosen machine tool.
Electronic control units of present SI-engines

Bachelor’s thesis named „Electronic control units of present SI-engines” treats of presently known and extended electronic control systems of SI-engines, so those ones, who mainly control both fuel-air mixture preparing and its ignition in combustion chamber. These are two fundamental functions for engine running, so they are described in light of basic principle of operation and also in light of each kind of these systems and its developmental stage description. Next point is enumeration and description of single parts of electronic control system participating in engine controlling, separated to logic sections. The end of publication makes reader acquainted with most extended types of electronic control systems, their producers and elementary differences.

There is a special emphasis on the positive and the negative points of using supporting computer systems. It compares the accessible solutions of systems in the standard practice and on the basis of this comparison it offers a suggestion for improving the production efficiency.

SIEMENS LOGO! RCE - posibility to use in informatics learning - Elementary functions

Aim of this bachelor thesis is to clarify issues of PLC automat Siemens LOGO! RCE, in practical part I'll focus on the work with sensors and home using of this automat. In theoretical part I focus on elementary functions with controlling of this device and creation of learning materials. Siemens LOGO! RCE presents universal logical module. It is used in ordinary life and it could be used in households (doors opening, blinds, etc...) even in commer-cial world (controlling strips, timing of shifts, etc). In practical part I'm going to deal with water heating using LOGO! and solar panels. Program will provide proper finding of operating point using optocouplers and proper impedance adaptation in certain automat. In theoretical part there will be description of graphical interface design, description of simple logical elements (OR, AND, NOR, NAND, XOR, NOT), flip-flops, Boolean logic, Boolean algebra. This thesis will find ways, how to attain higher series with relevant programming. As a last one will be created e-learning materials and worksheets.

Aim of this bachelor thesis is to use logical microsystem Siemens LOGO! RCE for temperature measurement and due to that LOGO! from version 7 contains ethernet modul, I'll be using telemetry, thus measurement for long distances and remote data transfer. Siemens LOGO! RCE presents univerzal logical modul. It offers sollutions for simple swithcing and application management in industry (eg. ventilation systems, barriers, water pumps, compressors etc.), it can however be advangtageously used also in the infrastructure (eg. lightning control, blinds, showcases, for irrigation etc.). Further it is suitable for installation in switchboards and mechanical devices. This bachelor thesis will have practical and theoretical part. In theoretical part I'll summarize available technologies for automation control and I'll analyze the options of Siemens LOGO! RCE and its use, I'll focus on the description and functionality of software LOGO!Soft Comfort V7.0. In practical part I'll create program for temperature measurement using two temperature sensors and theire comparing.
Creation of materials for laboratory tasks of robotics and automation

The bachelor thesis deals with the concept of "programmable logic controller". History of PLC and brand Simatic, manufacturers of automation technology, individual ways of programming and internal configuration of the PLC are content of the first part. The second part discusses the component of the assembly of Simatic control unit, touchscreen panel and two robots (hand and conveyor belt). This assembly realizes five laboratory tasks with a solution key and overall assessment in the last part of the thesis.
Application of dynamic production function

Industry is still one of the most important and key sectors of economy. Optimization and increase in efficiency in the competitive environment are one of the crucial processes in the business development. High-quality and functional analysis of the production processes and their appropriate adjustment are between the key factors of production company's success. Therefore fine models and instruments suitable for such research are gaining importance. They help to make important analysis and toward better understanding the production process including the basis of its right adjustment. One of the commonly accepted models is the production function. This thesis is particularly focused on the dynamic form of Cobb-Douglas production function, which among other measures the innovative influence. Some of the methods of its usage and achieved results are demonstrated, including the deduction of possible verdicts or advice for the concrete company. The discussion on its significance and particularities is also held in the conclusion of the thesis.
Comparison of OEZ company strategy before and after takeover by Siemens

This thesis mainly deals with comparison of OEZ company strategy before and after the takeover by concern Siemens. Theoretical knowledge is interconnected with practice within the company. After the thorough introduction of both companies I deal with takeover itself and with motives, which resulted in the acquisition. In the next part, every particular policy of marketing mix is described and compared. In the last chapter, SWOT analyses are worked out and by their comparison I can evaluate the situation, in which the company was before the takeover and in which the company is now. The main contribution is the evaluation considering the described fields and also the general evaluation by SWOT analyses.
