Design of a dental sandblasting device
Husár, Ján ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Varhaník, Matúš (advisor)
In this diploma thesis, we propose a prototype of a dental sandblasting machine. This machine’s drawing is composed using a CAD program, which helped with checking the assembly ability. Later in this work, we discuss the design of each component and chosen technologies for production. We chose to describe in detail and prototype using the CNC machine the “exit jet” component, which combines an abrasive and air with water. The main outputs of this work are the prototype of this component and its technical rating and the technical-economical rating of the whole proposed design of the machine.
Solution technology of multiple groove pulley
Šťastný, Daniel ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This essay discusses the production technology of multiple-grooved pulley from two different semi-products. It evaluates the technology of construction, selection of semi-products and their materials, selection of instruments and machines for individual operations with regards to semiproduct. At the end it also presents an economic evaluation for a batch.
Design of cooling of electrical machines for production machines and systems
Vaněrková, Tereza ; Vlach, Radek (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design the water-cooling system for a synchronous motor with an output of 10kW. The power loss was analytically determinated. For the initial water-cooling system and for two design proposals, thermal models were calculated in Ansys. The same boundary conditions were set for all three models. Then the analysis results of the temperature distribution on the machine surface and in the slots were compared. The comparison also includes the economical cost of the production and service of the machine. Then the production documentation was created, consisting of the assembly drawings and a simplified technological process.
Technology of Production single parts with multiple bend
Daňhel, Marek ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
DAŇHEL, M. Production Technology for Parts with Multiple Bends. Bachelor thesis, Combined form of bachelor degree programme ENGINERING, subject of study Manufacturing Technology, 1st form, 3rd year of study, academic year 2008/2009, study group 3K1. FME BUT Brno, Institute of Manufacturing Technology, Department of metal forming and plastics. No. of pages 47, pictures 32, tables 6, supplements 9. Bachelor thesis supervisor doc. Ing. Milan Dvořák, CSc. _______________________________________________________________ The project developed within the framework of the bachelor degree programme, subject of study B2307-00 Manufacturing Technology, submits a bending technology proposal for a part with multiple bends. The bachelor thesis presents a theory overview related to the forming operations comprising bending, a selection of suitable alternatives for the manufacture of the given part and the production sequence for this part. The design of the bending tool is made in accordance with valid engineering standards for forming operations. As the basis for production the project includes manufacturing drawings of the punch and lower die and the drawing of the bending tool assembly. Technical and economic evaluation and conclusions in respect of the proposed technology constitute a part of the project.
Design with respect to production costs
Homola, David ; Omasta, Milan (referee) ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis analyse general principles of Design for cost strategy in parts manufacturing. Compared manufacturing processes are Machining, Casting, Welding and 3D Print. Each process is rated based on production costs which are influenced by amount of manufactured parts, material, shape complexity, achieved tolerances and surface quality. Those informations are than applied in construction design of chosen part for each process separately. Each design is than compared based on production costs for specific amount of manufactured parts.

Options for increasing the efficiency of small motors.
Kusý, Karel ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis concerns itself with the possibilities of achieving higher efficiency of small asynchronous motors and their manufacturing costs. The following chapters describe the design, function and principles of speed regulation of the asynchronous motor. Next, losses that occur during motor operation and ways of reducing them, are described. The last chapter of the thesis addreses factors that influence the manufacturing costs of the asynchornous motor and evaluates the material costs of one modified motor.
Automation of machining of the aluminum castings
Filistein, Jakub ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The diploma work focuses on designing an automated machining, finishing and assembly line. Described in the chapters are the current technology of production, suggestions, the choice of a new solution and a technological-economical evaluation including capacitive and costs of running the production line and a comparison with the current technology. The result is proof that the return of the investment is roughly in one third.
Parts of steam piston engine in relation to their price and operating costs
Uryč, Jan ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes structure and working priciple of steam piston engine. The basic construction parts are included and divided according their function. Next it contains prediction of production costs of small steam piston engines with piston valve - simple expansion engine and compound engine. Then the coparison of parameters, production and operating costs of both engines follows. Finally there is mentioned a influence of buying the technology for the steam production and condensation such small units.
