Sodium ion batteries and gel electrolytes
Gottwald, T.
This work deals with the elecdrode materials and gel electrolytes suitable for sodium-ion batteries (Na-ion batteries). In the field of electrode materials were investigated carbon materials based on CR5995 with added SUPERp or NanoTubes for better conduction end LTO material boath working on the principle of insertion of sodium ion in to the electrode material structure. Another part witch this work deals are gel electrolytes for using in this Na-ion batteries, focused on the preparation and subsequent electrochemical and conductivity characterization of gel polymer electrolytes.
Latentní znalosti o buňce u žáků 8. tříd ZŠ a tercie osmiletého gymnázia
STOČESOVÁ, Lucie
This thesis deals with the knowledge testing of the cell biology at pupils in 8th classes and of tercia lower secondary schools by means of the didactic test. Output knowledge of natural history was tested with 200 students (100 boys and 100 girls) in Příbram. The respondents from secondary school showed better knowledge than pupils of the natural history of the 8th classes of the primary school. Results evaluation is presented in words and also illustrated by tables and graphs.
The Cell Biology - teaching portfolio for educational thematic area of biology for high school
VEJDĚLKOVÁ, Zdeňka
The goal of the diploma thesis is to create a teaching portfolio for educational thematic area of the cell biology. Teaching materials are intended for high school students learning. The portfolio is aimed at the topic of cell construction. The portfolio is projected for the independent work of students. It can be used both in subject matter explanation and as home preparation. A revision test is a part of the portfolio. Activating part of the portfolio is composed of thematic games that are suitable for the subject matter revision and deepening of knowledge.
Practical exercises in cell biology curriculum for grammar schools
MANDRYSZOVÁ, Jana
This diploma thesis contains a collection of 29 practical exercises, aimed at cell biology. These excercises were developed on analysis of cell biology curriculum in Framework Education Programme for grammar schools, available biology textbooks and professional literature based on this topic. Practical exercises follow up active and inquiry-based approach of students to biology education. The execises include protocol suggestions for exercises, education goals summary, methodical notes for teachers and model answers.
Muscotoxins: novel cytotoxic undecapeptides with unique structural elements and mechanism of action, isolated from soil cyanobacterium \kur{Nostoc muscorum}
TOMEK, Petr
This project was focused on development of extraction and purification protocol for novel cytotoxic compound isolated from soil cyanobacterium Nostoc muscorum which would allow to determine its molecular structure via NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) and MS (mass spectrometry) techniques. Purified cytotoxin was subjected to several biochemical and microscopical experiments in order to assess its toxicological parameters, determine the mechanism of action and evaluate potential application in biotechnology or pharmacy.
Analýza nativních proteinových komplexů ve střevních myších membránách
Babušiak, M. ; Man, Petr ; Petrák, J. ; Vyoral, D.
Polarized intestinal epithelial cells contain structurally distinct cell protrusions referred as microvilli specialized for digestion and uptake and transport of nutients, trace elements and vitamins from intestinal lumen into circulation.
Study of mechanical properties and dynamics of biomembranes and single molecules with the use of laser beam - an overview
Jonáš, Alexandr ; Zemánek, Pavel
A micron-sized dielectric particle confined in a laser trap can be employed as a probe for the measurement of forces in the range from piconewtons to hundreds of piconewtons. Thus, if a biological system of interest (e.g. DNA molecule, single myosin or kinesin molecule, cell membrane) is attached to such a probe, its mechanical and dynamical properties (elasticity, viscosty, forces associated with movement) can be studied during its interaction with the environment with unprecedented resolution. This article introduces the basic principles of the laser trapping and force measurement and illustrates on several examples the great potential of the light-based force transducer for exploiting non-invasively the dynamics of basic biological systems.
Comparison of the cell structure of tissues prepared by different methods for transmission electron microscopy
Vancová, Marie ; Nebesářová, Jana
The aim of this work is to show how methods which are able to retain antigenicity of tissues can influence the structural appearance of the specimen. We compared the ultrastructure of tissues conventionally embedded in hydrophobic epoxides, with tissues embedded in hydrophilic acrylic resins (polymerized by heat or UV light) and cryo-sections.
The role of innate immunity cells in coeliac disease: response of PBMC to gliadin digest
Tučková, Ludmila ; Jelínková, Lenka ; Cinová, Jana ; Zídek, Zdeněk ; Tlaskalová, Helena
The aim of the study was to asses the role of cells of innate immunity in the pathogenetic mechanisms of coeliac disease.
