P2P application security

This bachelor thesis deals with security of P2P applications, that are mainly used for file sharing. It is very important to minimalise the hazard of using these applications, bacause they are being used a lot today. One part of the thesis is a survey of using P2P applications in corporations. The next part is devoted to security scanning of these applications, describing found errors and their elimiation.

Conference Water Jet 2011 – Research, Development, Applications represents the second meeting of producers, users, designers and other people interested in technology of high speed water jet in the Czech Republic; it is a follow up to the successful first meeting held in 2009. The conference is organized by the Department of material disintegration of the Institute of Geonics of the ASCR, v. v. i. in Ostrava. With respect to the significant contribution of the International Visegrad Fund project to the activities related to the preparation and organizing of the conference, this year it was possible to hold the conference in the mountain hotel Sepetná in Ostravice at the foothill of the highest mountain in the Moravian– Silesian Beskydy Mountains – the Lysá Mountain. A wide spectrum of problems which are solved in submitted papers shows the recent trends in the application of the water jet technology in a great variety of branches of human activities. The considerable number of foreign participants of the conference proves the increasing interest in the technology in the whole Euroregion.

Possibilities of usage of social networks in business practice

Communication is the basis of the human society; Internet has contributed to that in recent decades. Mass interconnection of people by means of social networks is a phenomenon of recent years. The purpose of my thesis was to map the situation in the area of the use and development of social networks, advantages and disadvantages in the area of communication, their development and their future. In my analysis, I also dealt with possible ways of using these networks in business. Two surveys have become the basis of my evaluation. The survey in the field of consumer market evaluated the extent and orientation of the use of social networks by people in the Czech Republic; the other one concentrated on business entities and mapped the way how companies use social networks for communicating with customers and general public.

Sborník 19. Mezinárodní konference o uživatelsky programovatelných logických obvodech a jejich aplikacích (FPL)

The International Conference on Field Programmable Logic and Applications (FPL) is the first and largest conference covering the rapidly growing area of field-programmable logic. During the past 18 years, many of the advances achieved in reconfigurable architectures, applications, design methods and tools have been first published in the proceedings of the FPL conference series. Its objective is to bring together researchers and industry from all over the world for a wide ranging discussion of FPGAs, including, but not limited to: applications, advanced electronic design automation (EDA), novel system architectures, embedded processors, arithmetic, dynamic reconfiguration, etc. FPL is attended by top-level scientists and researchers. The 19th FPL continues the tradition of the previous editions. FPL2009 was hosted by UTIA AV CR in cooperation with a number of Czech FPGA research groups.

Methodical support to creation of educational media

This thesis deals with possibilites and usage of "new media" in the educational process. The aim of this thesis is to describe the possibilities and refer to basic recommendations for the effective creation and usage. The thesis contains a description of digital educational presentations, application of audio, video and didactical computer applications and games. Every part presents an example of suitable software and its application. The thesis describes also present trends of used technologies and future expectations. At the end of the thesis, there is an analysis of present situation and suggested solution for the small primary school.
