Tools for the Deep Drawing Technology

The project includes overview of technology of deep drawing and analysis of individual methods with including their utilization. In the first place, the project is about manufacturing and construction of tools for the deep drawing technology. It also includes description, relations and utilization of individual parts. It also mentions problematics of defects and lubrication.
Production of anemostat

The thesis handle design of part of anemostat in size of series 15000 pcs/year. Due to conus shape and dimensions of part was chosen out of quantity of manufacturing processes a technology of deep drawing without a thinnig of 1mm thick DC04 steel. The resulting solution is progressive tool which concatenate four operations of deep drawing process. The drawing tool make use of standardised components. The design contain progressive tool including drawing documentation. Hydraulic press CTH 400 with nominal force 4000 kN is used for mentioned procedure.
Production of subcomponent for the chassis ball joint

The thesis deals with the design of a technological process for the production a rotationally symmetrical component, which is part of the body for the chassis ball joint of a passenger car. Thesis was developed on request and in cooperation with THK RHYTHM Automotive Czech a.s. On the basis of a literary study, a technological process consisting of 10 operations was designed and elaborated. For the prototype production of the component, a four-column hydraulic press SHPFS 250, with a nominal force 2500 kN, was selected and price offer were prepared. For each of ten operations a prototype tool was designed and prepared assembly drawings. To reduce costs, a single die set was designed to allow all tools to be clamped. The total cost of acquisition of the prototype hydraulic press and tools was set at CZK 2,672,950.
Production of grill lid

The thesis is focused on the design of the production of kettle grill lid from steel 11 305 (1.0338) with a constant wall thickness of 1 mm and a series of 10 000 pcs/year. For the selected method of manufacture by conventional drawing, technological calculations were performed. Depending on the diameter of the blank, maximum force and other parameters, the tool and the machine were designed. The tool is a single-operation drawing tool with a blank holder and a rib around the perimeter. These functional parts, together with the drawing punch and drawing die, are made of surface-treated cementitious steel 14 220 (1.7131). The drawing tool is clamped into a CBA 250 hydraulic press with a nominal force of 2 500 kN, where the blank holder is controlled by an additional device at the bottom of the press.
Design production of sink

Thesis submits concept of the sink fabrication technology where circular sink is made from rustproof austenitic steel 1.4301 (X5CrNi 18-10) using technology of conventional deep drawing without reducing wall’s thickness. Hydraulic press YL32 - 400 with nominal force 400 kN has been chosen as the production machine. Drawing tool with holder was designed to be used for this technology and its drawing documentation had been enclosed in this thesis. Size of the production series was set for 20 000 products annually. Control simulation of the drawing process has proven that designed component can be made and that computations are correct. Economic and technological estimation was performed which resulted in price being set for 555 czech crowns per piece. After manufacturing first 7 447 products the manufacturing process will become economically profitable.
Tests metal sheet in the engineering practice

The thesis presents the theoretical summary of tests metal sheets, which are used in industrial practice. Based on the literature study of cold metal forming was performed Erichsen test which tested body sheets DC06 + ZE, CR340LA + GI / GA50-U, CR300LA + GI / GA50-U. From the test result showed that all sheets are suitable for forming, as indicated by the supplier. It was designed product for testing thin sheets.
Production of the upper part of gasoline tank

The thesis deals with the design of the upper part of the gas tank. Taking into account the shape and dimensions, the solution was chosen the most advantageous drawing technology without a thinning of 1 mm thick DC04 steel. The solution took account of the requirements of the contracting authority and selected the production for one operation. However, the simulation proved inappropriateness of the solution, so the procedure was modified to two operation proces. At the first stroke, a larger part of the body will be created, and in the other, a calibration of the cut-out dimensions will occur. For the first operation, the design of the tool kit, including drawing documentation for the CTH 250 press, was elaborated.
The Production of the oil pan

The dissertation deals with a suggestion of the production of an oil pan into the car with a deep drawing. The part will be produced out of a deep drawed steel plate – class 11 305 (DC04). On the basis of a calculation and the study of the corresponding literature about the deep drawing a reverse drawing in a convention tools with a blank holder has been suggested. The part of the machine will be also an upper ejector for the fall of a sticking of a drawn part in the die. As a semi-product a blank has been chosen, which is burned out from the piece of plate with the dimension of 2500 x 12500 mm and thickness 1 mm with the help of the laser. The production quantity is 30 000 per one year. As a forming machine a universal hydraulic presser CTH 250 from the Czech company Žďas a.s. with the nominal power 2500 kN has been chosen.
The Manufacturing of Brake Disk cover by the Compound Tool

This project is conceived within the master's degree in engineering technology and industry management (M2I-K Engineering) technology by design of the brake disc cover in compound tool, with year production 500 000 pcs. The material is deep-drawn sheet metal 11 305.21, 1 mm thickness. It is based on the literature studies about forming and calculation was suggested several variants of the present components. The proposed tool is clamped in the crank press LDC 400 firm Šmeral with a nominal force of 4000 kN. The functional parts are made from steel 19 573. The proposed technology of the deep drawing was verified by using simulation program AutoForm.
Technology of production cover by forming

Master´s thesis project elaborated within the scope of Master´s degree submits a proposal of manufacture technologies for complicated components with the transition of an elliptical shell into a rectangular shape. Material: Aluminium EN: AW-3003, thickness 2 mm. Estimated annual production: 80 000 pieces. Drawing tool with blankholder was designed based on calculations and literature study of deep drawing. The drawing operation is performed by a hydraulic press ZH 50 with a rated power of 500 kN. The drawing tools are made from tool steel 1.2379 (19 573). Proposal of suitable technologies respectively drawing proces was verified by simulation program FormingSuite and PAM-STAMP.
