Initial study of predisposition of Norway spruce to bark beetle attack in relation to long term effects of multiple stress

This thesis is a contribution to understanding of predisposition of solitary Norway spruce (Picea abies [L.] Karst.) to bark beetle (Ips typographus (L.)) attack. The predisposition is estimated from long term effects of multiple stress, which are determined by tree crown transformation. By virtue of created model, it was documented that some environmental variables could have considerable effect on tree crown transformation. Tree crown transformation is generally considered a mirror of spruce health status.
Historical treatment of land in Jihočeském kraji

The work describes the historical treatment of land in the South Region for the period: Rosenberg; Buquoys, Eggenberg and Schwarzenberg; after World War I.; after World War II.; after 1989. This work describes the changing of landscape in different seasons and informs about the most important adjustments, particularly in the fields of: fishing, forestry, water management and agriculture. There are elaborated landscaping history records from the beginning of the registration to the present. The work contains a treatise on colonization reforms, land consolidation, modern and contemporary land consolidation in the area of interest.
Financial support in forestry
LENGYELOVÁ, Andrea
The objective of this thesis is to analyze the management of the selected company in forestry, determine the current state of drawing subsidies, overview possibility of drawing such aid in forest management in the Czech Republic and specifically in the county where the business is located. Then, based on the collected information to propose possible optimization solutions. In the first part of this work are expertly explains the basic concepts related to the topic. The second part contains the own work and proposal of solution. Economic evaluation was achieved through analysis of annual financial reports and cost calculation. Comparative period in this case, the years 2007 to 2012. Sources of financial support were divided on the resources of the European Union and national sources and described. The conclusion includes a proposal of measures for stability and business continuity.
Orlík´s Schwarzenberg and their officers between years 1848 and 1948
ZEISOVÁ, Alena
Schwarzenbergs, a noble family coming from Lower Franconia, settled down from 1660 in the end in Czech countries. Jan Adolf Schwarzenberg bought manor Třeboň at that time. At the beginning of eighteenth century split the family to two anchestries. Submitted dissertation insists on the researches in the archive files completed with specialized publicatons. The text is composed of three units. Opening part gives us the specification and characteristics of the used archival resorces and literature. The second part is divided to the several chapters. The first chapter discuss the family history and land effects expansion. The third chapter describes the complicated administrative agency. The fourth chapter introduces patrimonial clerkdom including their personal and professional lives. The fifth chapter is dedicated to Josef Bohdanecký, the principal forester of the forest management in Orlík. He came to be known by his forest crop protection project, so called Orlíks or milimetre thinning. The final part contains the general estimation of the clerkdom place in the Schwarzenbergs service.
The economic history of land owners in Posázaví in the first half of the 20th century (with focus on Czech Sternberk Estate)

The diploma thesis aims to present domain of the Český Šternberk, or in fact estate the Český Šternberk and its activity in the first half of twentieth century. The estate was more or less influenced by all the political and economic changes during the monitored period ? it is by the land reform in the times of the First Republic, affected by the economic depression of Thirties and of course by World War II. and also by revision of post-war land reform. By the Nationalization which for a long time resulted in and caused almost disappearance of the estate. The author tries to show the above mentioned changes on forestry of the estate. She also mentions some specifics of Šternberk estate economy activities ? operation of hydropower in Rataje on Sázava river and also two hotelier achievements-activities i.e. ? Parkhotel in the village Český Šternberk and a pension in nearby Čejkovice.

Review of the small mammal pest species from the forest and agriculture practice, its basic characteristics, pattern and distinguishing of their damage. Approved methods of pests control from agriculture are recommended to be used also in forestry. The results of the common vole biological control on the Prostějovsko area demonstrate that the birds of pray are no essential for common vole number control. Rodenticids remain to be decisive method.

This bachelor's thesis deals with state regulation a its effects on forest owners in czech scene. Preliminary there is shortly introduced the forestry evolution a its present condition in Czech republic. Great deal of the thesis is dedicated to Forest act where owners limitations, costs and additional cosi are mentioned. Next there is solved a relevance od forestry grants as a finance compensation of losses which resulting from the Act. Than there are specified some types and the hight of this grants. In the third part the regulation efectivity is studied by economic theories and than applied on forestry. The hypothesis is than practically verified by Natural resourses assessing method. In the end there is discussed the definiteness of the analysis result and there is finded out that the foretstry regulation is unefficient.
