Baránek, Aleš ; Chocholatý, Drahomír (advisor) ; Říha, Václav (referee)
Final thesis deals with functions and usage of software for project management in the specific conditions of project management background of organization. Introduction into project management software presents it's characteristics, usage and roles when providing support of project management activities and procedures. Models of organization's project management are defined by investigation of usage of software for project management in the specific conditions of organization. Based on detailed analysis of software functions we define functional spectra, which specify importance of functional areas of software for every model of organization's project management. Such concept of functinal spectra can be used when evaluating suitability of using existing software for project management in terms and conditions of concrete organization. Last chapter of the thesis gives example of usage of functional spectra concept for selection of the software which fits the best to the project management background of the company.

This thesis's aim is to get a reader familiar with modern methods and techniques of agile project management. A short excurse into the history of project management will be provided as well as the galloping development of this area will be described. In the next part of this thesis we will focus on agile methods especially on the extreme project management, which is the main point of this thesis. For the adumbration of differences between classical and agile techniques, the PMBOK and PRINCE2 were chosen as a representative of classical techniques. Among agile methods extreme project management will attract our attention the most. This comparison will be a bridge between these two worlds, respectively between two different points of view on project management. For illustration of extreme project management, we will touch the extreme programming, however this thesis's aim is not only this programming technique, but is its integral part. Based on the information stated above, we can anticipate that we'll be focusing at the development of information systems. The reusult of this work should be a guide to a manager who reconsiders, or is forced to, a change towards the implementation of agile methods in the rigid environment. The reader should find in this compressed form which will be the embochure of the topic. Last but not least, it should be a compass in the agile management area.

Vít, Radek ; Svoboda, Jiří (advisor) ; Novák, Jan (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is the enhancement of the project management and development processes in the Actum s.r.o.. The instrument I have chosen to accomplish this goal is the ISO certificate, which I have picked up as a suitable tool of internal development methods optimalization. To obtain better view on what the ISO certificate is and what kind of procedures it contains I will analyze the document at first. Next step will be to analyze the current state of the Actum's processes, I will determine the particular phases of the project management and process workflows which are defined by those phases. I will use Use Case diagrams to show how the process looks like. In the final step I will design corrective measures which will be reflecting the norms of the ISO standard. The resolution defined by me will not be only theoretical but this resolution will be realized within the Actum Company.

The main goal of the thesis is to map the contemporary approaches toward the stakeholders analysis and management in the ICT projects, to analyze the problems of the influence of individual parts from both technocracy and human (psychological) point of view and to subsequently suggest the methodology for an effective analysis and management of the engaged parts, which could be used at the management of the projects in the ICT field. There are dissect the known methodologies and tools used for the analysis and the management of the engaged parts. Subsequently, the stakeholders are systematically divide, it is accomplished their analysis from different perspectives and discussed mainly the aspects which can be crucial in the project management. The most common interests and motivations of the particular engaged parts are presented, including the influence and interest groups and the ways how to procure these parts for the aims of the projects. In the second part a research is described, which is carried out among managers of ICT companies and participants of ICT projects. There are elaborated some hypotheses on grounds of practical experiences from ICT projects and these are verified by this examination. The third part is focused on the presentation of the methodology for the analysis and the management of stakeholders in the ICT projects, which should serve the project managers for the stakeholders analysis and management in the ICT projects. Practical use of this methodology in the project of the SAP system implementation is described in the last, fourth part. This thesis completes relevant sources with the practical experiences at work on the projects in the ICT field. The effected research attested the original notion that this issue is relatively little known in the Czech Republic. The outcomes of this work could be of use for the project management in the ICT field.
Project management in BI
Vacek, Antonín ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Zajíc, Jan (referee)
Project management as a branch is nothing new, that doesn't mean that there is not the possibility of improvement or implementating of new methodics in this field. The goal of the opening theorethical section of this work is to explain the problematic of the project management in IS/ICT in general as well as partially in the BI enviroment. In this section the reader is going to learn from which activities project management consists, what documents or templates in which stage of the project are commonly used, as well as some practical examples from project management practice. The rest of this work is then focusing on implementing the theoretical knowledge from the opening section into the practice of the real project in SYSTIXT, ltd. (the name of the company is made-up, the real one wished not to be named in this work). The main output from this section is the concept of the project management plan of this project (some of the parts are done in MS Project 2007). Very important output of this practical section is also creating of some templates for project management that will suit the forementioned company needs. A part of this section is also evaluation of current practices in project management in the SYSTIXT ltd. and the proposal of some changes in this field.
