Selected Items from the Firm's Accounting Statements and their Analysis

The theoretical part of the thesis includes the main characteristics of firm's accounting statements and the use of information from accounting statemensts. In the chapter called "The use of information from the accounting statements" is also availability, reliability, intelligibility and comparability of data. The last part of the theoretical thesis are the time limits of publication data. The practical part of the thesis includes the main characteristics of the H. S. O. stavební a obchodní spol. s r. o. and the firm's accounting statements. Next chapter consists of the analysis of costs, revenues and income statement in the time series (the analyse of income statement summarizes costs and revenues). The time series is from 2005 to 2007. The last part of the thesis includes the cash flow analyse in the time series.

Financial Analysis - Barum Contitnental spol. s r.o.

The main objective of this work was to assess the financial health of Barum Continental spol. s r.o. Analysis was conducted for the period 2002 - 2007, with an emphasis on the last 3 years. Primarily were used elementary analysis methods, which work with the extensive and intensive indicators. Thesis monitors the development of key indicators, assesses whether the company effectively manage its working capital and cash flow, whether it achieves sufficient profitability, effectively controls the area of liquidity etc. Modern methods, which enable to predict future development, were used as well(Altmanova Z-score, index IN05 and EVA). To assess the overall prosperity of the company we should concern the analysis of macroeconomic situation, which the firm must adapt.

Finančná analýza Východočeskej energetiky, a.s.

Cieľom bakalárskej práce bolo zhodnotiť finančné zdravie spoločnosti Východočeská energetika, a.s. v rokoch 2001 ? 2005. Bakalárska práca je rozdelená na dve časti, a to na časť teoretickú a praktickú. V teoretickej časti je vysvetlený metodický aparát, ktorý bude následne v praktickej časti použitý. V praktickej časti je početne technickým spôsobom aplikovaná použitá teória. Začnína analýzou rozvahy, výsledovky a výkazu cash flow, prechádza k pomerovým ukazovateľom, potom hodnotí bilančné pravidlá, rentabilitu vlastného kapitálu a rentabilitu aktív pomocou Du Pontovej analýzy. Výpočtom finančnej páky, zisťuje, či použitie cudzieho kapitálu vedie k zvyšovaniu, alebo znižovaniu rentability vlastného kapitálu. Následne je v nej použitý Altmanov index a pracovný kapitál. Ekonomickú výkonnosť spoločnosti merá pomocou ekonomickej pridanej hodnoty a na záver sa kvantifikuje situáciu na trhu s elektrickou energiou a to konkrétne porovnáva VˇVE, a.s. s ďalšími dvoma energetikami, Severomoravská energetika a Severočeská energetika.

Project financing of commercial real estate

The theoretical part of this thesis deals with history and principles of project finance. It defines participants of the process as well. It explains project development and management. The analytical part describes a particular structure of project financing at a project of development of a commercial real estate. It advises of main issues which this type of financing can brings around. Therefore it provides recommendations and motifs for changes in order to achieve higher economical outcomes and to minimize financial risk of investors and creditors. Moreover it mentions necessary project and financial contractual arrangements which are to be concluded in the system of project finance. The conclusion of this thesis reflects stated goals from the introduction and gives key recommendations to investors for the future projects.

Obsahem této bakalářské práce je finanční analýza společnosti Kofola, a.s. s cílem zhodnotit výsledky hospodaření za roky 2001 ? 2005. Bakalářská práce se skládá z několika hlavních částí. První část reprezentuje souhrn teoretických pojmů, které jsou v druhé části prakticky na podnik aplikovány. Závěr práce hodnotí výsledky finanční analýzy, majetkovou strukturu a celkové finanční zdraví společnosti Kofola a.s.

Analýza podnikové likvidity a její měření

Cílem bakalářské práce je nastínit základní používané metody při analýze a řízení podnikové likvidity, vypovídací schopnost různých ukazatelů platební schopnosti a vliv oceňovacích technik na hodnoty těchto ukazatelů. Na tuto teoretickou stránku navazuje praktická část, která se zaměřuje na fungování cash poolingu v praxi. To je vysvětleno na modelu dvou světových koncernů, které tuto metodu používají a dále pomocí analýzy situace koncernu IDC, kde by využití cash poolingu zefektivnilo celokoncernovou likviditu.

Cash management in broker company and in leasing company

The main subject of this thesis is the liquidity -- very important premise for long-term existence of every firm. The aim is to characterize financial management with emphasis on liquidity and cash management in two different firms. Two mentioned firms are quite specific -- broker company and leasing company. Because of this the key goal of this thesis is the analysis and evaluation of their liquidity, monitoring similarity and diversity in procedures which the firms use in cash management. The basic question is the evaluation of process of cash management in two mentioned firms, understanding of preferred instruments and identification if it is sufficient for stable financial solvency. The particular procedures and methods in cash management in two different firms are mentioned in this thesis. Attention is paid on working capital, liquidity ratios and other -- cash flow statement, plan of payment etc.
