Load-bearing reinforced concrete structure of a family house

The final thesis is focused on designing reinforced concrete load-bearing structures of a detached house on two floors and one basement. In the basement will be located the storages, utility room and wine bar. On the ground floor will be located garage for two cars, living room with kitchen and study. On the second floor will be located bedroon and two child’s rooms. The ceiling slab of the second floor, the ceiling slab of the ground floor, the ceiling slab of the basement, spiral staircase, half-turn staircase and walls of the first underground floor with solution as water-resistant construction. Programs SCIA Engineer 21.1 and Dlubal RFEM are used to calculate the internal forces. To varify the accuracy of the results is used manual calculation. The work includes drawings of formwork and reinforcement of the all designing structires. The bulding is designed according to ČSN EN 1992-1-1.
Roof beam in the industry hall

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the assessment of the existing roof girder in the industrial hall and subsequent outline of strengthening this construction. The girder is located in an industrial hall in Lanškroun and its original design is dated from 1998. Nowadays, cracks appear on the girder, therefore it is necessary to reassess it according to the current valid standards ČSN EN. The girder is appraised for the ultimate limit state, thus for bending and shear, and also for the serviceability limit state, thus for the pressure limit, width of cracks and transformation. Due to the fact, that not all assessments pass, hence a suitable structure strengthening with a MonoStrand prestressing strands is designed and the construction is reassessed again. For the control of a manual calculations of the internal forces on girder, was created a structural model in a program called Scia Engineer.
Reinforced concrete structure for grain hopper

The subject of this bachaleor‘s thesis is a design and structural assessment of reinforced concrete structure for grain hopper. The structure is located for most part in the ground and is supported by one wall against the underground wall of the mill. Walls are connected by a hole for the pipe, which is using for transport grain to the mill. Designing are walls and bottom of the structure. Calculation of load effect was made in SCIA Engineer 18.1, where is made a subsoil using module Soilin. For check the calculation is make by hand calculation on calculation model of one wall.
Static and dynamic analysis of plain and fiber-reinforced concrete using discrete meso-scale model

Předkládaná práce se zabývá matematickým modelováním chování betonu. K numerické analýze je použit diskrétní částicový model. Tento model zjednodušuje meso-strukturu materiálu na systém propojených diskrétních částic -- konvexních mnohostěnů. Tyto částice jsou uvažovány ideálně tuhé a jejich vzájemná interakce je předepsána na kontaktech sousedních částic. Při hledání nespojitého pole posunů a rotací jsou zjednodušeně předpokládány malé deformace. Práce popisuje dvě rozšíření implementovaná do stávající verze modelu, konkrétně (i) přidání reprezentace krátké rozptýlené výztuže a (ii) implicitní dynamický řešič. První z hlavních částí práce se zabývá modelováním kompozitů s krátkou rozptýlenou výztuží. Krátká vlákna rozptýlená v materiálu přispívají k zlepšení jinak nepříznivé tahové pevnosti betonu. Vlákna jsou v částicovém modelu reprezentována nepřímo, zohledněním tření mezi vláknem a cementovou matricí silami, které působí proti otevírání trhlin. S pomocí tohoto rozšíření model dokáže předpovídat chování vláknobetonu zahrnující tahové zpevnění i navýšení počtu trhlin. Druhá z hlavních částí se zabývá odezvou materiálu na dynamické zatížení. Beton vykazuje rozdílné chování pro různé rychlosti zatěžování. V případě pomalého, kvazi-statického, zatěžování se počáteční mikro-trhliny lokalizují v makro-trhlinu. Dochází-li k rychlému zatěžování, energie nahromaděná v tělese není spotřebována pouze jednou trhlinou, ale dochází k jejímu větvení. V případě rychlých procesů je hlavním faktorem setrvačnost hmoty, která je zatížením urychlována. Struktura materiálu a setrvačnost částic je v mezo-úrovňovém diskrétním modelu zahrnuta. Přesto ale další jevy probíhající pod rozlišovací úrovní modelu ovlivňují výsledné chování materiálu. Proto je do modelu přidána fenomenologická závislost konstitutivního zákona na rychlosti přetváření. Numerické simulace těles rozličných tvarů zatěžovaných různou rychlostí deformace jsou porovnány s experimenty z literatury.
Reinforced concrete construction of apartment building

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of reinforced concrete structure with masonry walls. Scia Engineer was used for finite element analysis. The spatial models include nonlinear behavior of masonry. Furthermore, the ceiling slab above the 1st floor, beams and columns were designed.
Comparison of tank variants from reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete

The diploma thesis deals with design and comparison of variants of cast-in-place concrete sewage tank made from reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete. The layout of sewage tank is rectangular. The tank is in longitudinal way divided into two chambers. The tank is not roofed and is partialy embedded in the ground. The design for ultimate limit state and for service limit state is made for both variants. There is focus on generation and development of cracks in service limit state. For calcuation of internal forces is used model made in software SCIA Engineer, based on finite element method. The reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete versions are compared in last part in term of volumes of materials needed. Also there are proposed possible savings.

Design of cast-in-place structure at family house

The bachelor thesis deals with a desing of cast-in-place family house structures. The basis of the thesis is assesment of selected structures (ceiling, walls, foundation slab) by structural desing and subsequent proposal of necessary reinforcement of assessed structures. The outcome of the whole thesis are the drawings.
Effect of Cement Bypass Dust on Cracking Tendency of Alkali-Activated Slag during Drying

This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of bypass cement dust on cracking of alkali activated slag. Significant shrinkage and cracking prevent greater use of alkali activated slag. The length changes and strength of the mixtures with different amount of bypass cement dust were measured at various curing conditions. In these mixtures, cracks were observed and their amount was evaluated by image analysis. It has been found that the addition of dust can reduce the amount of cracks. Treating the prisms in a humid environment leads to a reduction of cracks, especially during long-term treatment. In order to improve flexural and compressive strength, it is preferable to use dust as a replacement for part of aggregates and not as a partial slag replacement.
Diagnosis of defects of an existing object

This bachelor thesis deals with structural and technical research of the Lužánky Leisure Time Activity Centre, a civic amenity building situated in Brno, 50 Lidická Street. A building diagnosis was carried out due to a number of static defects spreading fast all over the structure. The first part of the thesis describes the history of the surrounding Lužánky Park. Furthermore, the history of the city’s watercourses and the related issue of clay soil are also discussed. The practical part focuses on the diagnostics of the building together with its current state. After the theoretical assessment, short-term as well as long-term maintenance measures are proposed.
