Sound interface in application for the blind

This work addresses use of sound interface in application for blind users. Correct application design is achieved by analysis of similar applications and by assesment of problematic areas in creation of applications for blind users. This work suggests rules for solving these problematic areas, which are underlined in practical part. Practical part of this work is mainly focused on design and creation of application, which offers alternative approach to file management. Application is based on speech synthesis and accessibility for blind users, which is achieved by use of open source libraries. The main benefit of this work is suggesting rules, which can serve in creating accessible applications and realization of application, which is based on those rules.
Accessibility evaluation tools analysis according to U.S. law Section 508

The main goal of this thesis is a comparison of tools used for web page accessibility evaluation, mainly their ability to find an accessibility issues defined in US law Section 508 paragraph § 1194.22 Web-based intranet and internet information and applications. A new web page created for the tool analysis, which contains accessibility issues described in paragraph § 1194.22, has been used to evaluate how many issues the tool can find. Based on the analysis results every tool is scored and the final ranks are decided. The results of the analysis and the final ranks are the main outcome of this thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis describes accessibility in detail and introduces the main dissabilities affecting their ability to use computers. A detailed description of all Section 508 rules is present as well. It consists of translation of every rule into czech language, short description of the rule's meaning and points when the rule is met. The practical part describes the test web page, analysis proces and results in detail.

Mobile touch-screen devices and website usability

The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the role of usability in relation to the expansion of mobile touch-screen devices. It studies how the purchase decisions of users of these devices can be influenced and how to avoid unnecessary web usability obstacles. The practical part examines mobile traffic and usability of selected online stores. Based on the practical and theoretical knowledge there are recommendations for creating an accessible and usable website, evaluation of the potential benefits and calculation of payback period of an given investment.
Framework jQuery for mobile platforms

This thesis aims to analyze the issue of deployment of the jQuery framework for mobile devices. The work deals with the research that university students use their cell phone to browse the website and whether these sites from the perspective of the user mobile device is sufficiently accessible and welcoming. Based on the results of the executed research, this work also focuses on the description of the implementation of web components that have an impact on the overall level of accessibility and user-friendly Web pages using jQuery Mobile framework.
Automatic recognition of e-mail addresses on the websites

This work is focusing on reasons for protection of email addresses against automatic recognition, which aims to find other recipients of spam. Includes description of how this protection can be increased and these methods are evaluated in terms of level of protection and conservation addresses accessibility of websites. The part of this work is to determine the current status of the website addresses of public universities in terms of utilized methods of record. Status on these sites is investigated using application, which in addition to finding addresses, finding the method of writing on a selected sample sites. The various methods used to write addresses are evaluated on the results of the application and other recommendations for improvement are discussed.
Creating a user-friendly website (UX)

This bachelor thesis deals with the process of creating user-friendly websites. Thesis is not directly engaged with questions concerning the technology behind it, but instead focuses on the process of designing a website that will meet both the needs of users as well as business requirements. A website based and designed on such concept will be easily understandable for users, and will be regarded as usable and useful. It will effectively enable users to fulfill their individual aims and provide them with a positive User Experience (UX). Along with the placing of this procedure within a specific context, an area of User Experience is defined, and consequently related disciplines that fundamentally affect and shape the UX. A scheme of this procedure of creating user-friendly websites as put in practice is shown at the end of this thesis: a case study on redesigning the company website VINICARS Ltd.
Analysis of Emergency Medical Services web pages

This thesis analyses webpages of Emergency Medical Services. Proper analysis in this thesis is divided into three parts. The goal of the first part of the analysis is to find out potential lacks of webpages with regard to rules of accessibility. There is special need to accent the importance of accessibility of webpages of such organi-zations, because potential customers can suffer from different handicaps, which are deeply analyzed in this thesis. In the next part of this thesis, I analyze the Search engine optimization. In this part, I am trying to find out, if webpages are well-structured with regard to browsers and their needs. I also discover a number of backlinks, which points to webpages placed on the specific domain. Last part of the analysis looks deeply into a usability, which is the key factor for the success of every webpages. In the next part of the work, data, which were discovered in my analysis of specific webpages, are represented. In the last short part of thesis, which is called "Effective Webpage", the best parts of solution of specific webpages are highlighted and con-nected into one comprehensive solution, which could be an effective one.
Web accessibility of major Czech universities

This Bachelor thesis deals with web accessibility issues. Its aim is to analyze web pages of major Czech universities and evaluate the accessibility level they provide to their users. The WCAG 2.0 methodology served as a basis for this evaluation process, because it specifies the most current requirements for accessible websites. The purpose of the theoretical part of the thesis is to acquaint the reader with the web accessibility issues. It contains a definition of accessibility itself and also talks about disabled Internet users, for which the compliance of web accessibility standards is crucial. The theoretical part also outlines the legislative regulation of accessibility in the Czech Republic and presents the accessible web development methodologies. The practical part of the thesis contains the accessibility analysis, a description of the evaluated websites and the final test results summary. The main contribution of this thesis is an objective assessment of the condition, in which the web pages of Czech universities are in terms of accessibility. This assessment can serve as a clue for removing any deficiencies that occur on the tested websites.
Website audit of Agronomical companies

This master thesis focuses on the problem of web sites auditing. The three main areas covered in the thesis are usability, accessibility and search engine optimization. These three categories are main elements resulting in good or bad website. The main aim of this thesis is to describe the basic rules and recommendation for each of these three categories. This area is undergoing very fast and neverending development so I will also try to cover latests trends and directions. The first, theoretical part, will result in selection of grading criterias based on each of the three categories. These criterias will be later used to analyze the biggest players in the area of agricultural companies and organizations. The result of this audit will be ranking of each company website together with recommendations how to improve them. It will be also possible to recognize the main mistakes and problems of commercial websites.
