Current assets management

The bachelor thesis focuses on the current assets management. The aim of the bachelor thesis is a present-state description of administration of particular categories of current assets in a company, finding of problematic parts and specification of recommendations that lead to improvement of present state, with focus on minimization of fencing of financial resources in stock and remaining of production fluency. First step was the detection and description of present states. Next step was establishing of indicators containing current assets management on the basis of a detected present state of manufacturing company and establishing of recommendation.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the inventory management of the selected economic entity and to propose the effective measures for improving the current situation in the inventory control area. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first one is focused on the literature background research where the basic terms from the logistics and the materials management area are defined and then applied to the concrete company in the second practical part. The conclusion evaluates and makes the proposal of the suitable method of the inventory management in the company.

The real use of operations research methods in conjunction with logistics technologies

This diploma focuses on the real use of operations research methods in conjunction with logistics technologies. The aim is to show the way of optimization and simulation methods application and to evaluate if these methods are suitable tools for logistics technology application. Following logistic technologies were analysed: Just in Time, Kanban, Cross-Docking and Hub and Spoke. Used mathematical tools include: mixed linear programming models, distribution models, methods of multi-criteria evaluation and simulation models. On the basis of mathematical models 4 examples of new technologies introduction or analysis of already functioning systems have been solved.

Optimization of inbound logistics in selected company from automotive industry

The Master's Thesis is focused on optimization of inbound logistics of Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile. The aim of the Master's Thesis is analysis of current status of logistics in TPCA and detailed observation and research of logistic processes and routes with emphasis on the planning system. Factors affecting the decision making during logistics planning and process of information searching were identified with special attention for milk-routes. First chapter describes development of logistics a specifics of logistics in automotive industry. Following chapter analyse current status of logistics, types of logistic routes a system of the planning. Third chapter propose options for logistics planning optimization with help of improved information source obtaining, study the suitability of used logistics routes and test possibilities of utilization of commercial software. Last chapter of thesis is comparing logistics of TPCA and Škoda Auto.

Implementation of logistic technology Just-in-Time and Just-in-Sequence in Robert Bosch Ltd.

This work is mostly oriented to define theory and application of principle Just in Time ( JIT ), Just in Sequence (JIS ) and related methods in Robert Bosch Ltd.Part goals are define theoretical basis of JIT and JIS from knowledge of Czech and foreign literature and detailed analysis of particular methods. Each method is well evaluated with all its pros and cons. Further observations engaged method of Kanban, Heijunka, MRPI, MRPII, which are close related to JIT and JIS. This work precisely describe application of JIS at project DNOX in Robert Bosch. System JIT is described through all its individual method (Kanban,Leveling,Supermarkets, which were gradually implemented in Robert Bosch.

Lean company

Lean company could be characterized with high effectivity of internal proceses and sustain elimination of waste. Lean company uses several methods, which are aplicated on many proceses along whole value stream of the product. This essay includes most known and used methods such as: just in time method, kaizen improovement philosophy, based on systematic improovement activities iniciated by employees. Also systems of autonomation in production - jidoka, improoved logistic methods and pull-system using kanban, nivelization of the production flow by heijunka method, error proofing systems poka-yoke, systems of organizing office and workplace 5S. All of it summarized in economic results. In analytical part, trying to find out, whether lean systems take effect in services. Using comparison of two real estate agencies, I have find out that lean systems really exists even in services. Moreover there is a big difference between company that uses, and company which do not.

Just in Time and its influence on the management accounting

The thesis describes Just in Time method and other important issues related to strategic management accounting. The goal is to set a general process of cost saving by using the method. To mention especially process management, activity based costing, activity based management and quality management. The Just in Time method is described individually in relation with supplying and producing. The empirical part of the thesis is divided to two subsections. The first one contains questions about propriety of Just in Time implementation in the producing company. The second part attempts to set a general process of cost saving by using the Just in Time method.

In practical part I am introducing company BENTELER, ČR s.r.o. and actions to establish lean production on concrete example in plant Chrastava.
