This diploma thesis is deal with design of steel structure of office building. Layout of building is rectangular with dimensions 45x34m, with one storey below earth and five storey above earth. Height of building is 21,5 m (from ground). The main structure of building is created by nine steel frames in cross direction. Between frames are inserted composite steel and concrete beams. The roof is flat. The surface of facade is glass created by aluminium structure with columns and rails.

The task of my master´s thesis was to work up a project and a check of a bearing steel construction the multi-storey office building with a garage in Brno. The building is composed of five storey office section and two storey of garage. Ground dimension of administrative part is 38,8m x 35m with distance of pillars 7m,6m and 6,4m. The structural height of floor is 3,5m.Garage is designed with dimensions 36m x 24,8m with structural height of floor 3,5m. Distance of pillars is 5,6m, 6,4m and 7,8m.Total height building is 17,5m

The Evaluation of Development Project

The master's thesis is focused on evaluation of development project for the purpose of recommendation, how the company should continue with the project in the future. The analysis of the commercial real estate market and evaluation of up-to-date financial results are included. In the practical part, alternatives of selling the project and the prediction of future progress in case of lease-continuation are compared.

New town hall for the district Brno-North

The subject of this diploma thesis is a project of a new town hall for the district of Brno - sever. Current town hall is situated in the inconvenient building on the Bratislavská street and few decentralised offices are located in separate places. The project should solve current problems as well as to follow current trends in contemporary town hall design. Town halls of these days must cover many functions, not only the accommodation of local government, but also to be the actual centre of the town - the centre of culture, economy and services. The new town hall building is located on corner plot of land in the compound of old Brno Černá Pole barracks. The building provides leasable commercial units as well as office space for the municipal government.

New town hall for the district Brno-North

The building site is situated on the interesection of Třída Genrála Píky and Provazníkova streets in Brno. In the neighboring building there are commercial and administrative spaces. The main crossroad was redesigned to minimize the residual traffic areas. Based on urbanistic study we designed the corner high-rise dominant. We create a point of view at the skyline of Brno. By pushing back the volume we have a small square. Central comunication core allows transparent facade.

Inventure of the City Center ? Brno – Veveří – Žerotínovo náměstí

The main subject of the thesis is a revision of current area framing northwest part of Žerotín Square, that nowadays consists of so called White house (center for children health care and a seat of a medical school). The design is based on theoretical situation concerning the removal of White house and therefore it uses the newly existing place as a subject for new architectural solution. The solution emphasizes the completion of current block of buildings with large courtyard and corner between Žerotín Square and Veveří street, which is very important for traffic. The thesis is focusing on finding the right form, scale and functional content which would reflect the importance of the location, especially focusing on the Brno’s ring road that goes directly to Denisovy sady and accessibility of this city’s part. It also respects the design of the back side of the Red Church. The design uses the newly existing place as a location for new apartment building that reflects the scale of similar buildings in Marešov and other nearby streets and it also proposes administration building as an architectural solution for this location, which would be used as a seat for both municipal and national institutions.

Office Building for Paper Mill WANEMI, a.s., in Zábřeh

The thesis describes a design of the office building of Wanemi a.s. company in Zábřeh na Moravě. The company intends to build an ecological paper mill in the city. The office building is located at the „green“ entrance zone of the manufacturing facility. The building is designed in accordance with the requirements of energy–efficient buildings and the philosophy of the company – People and nature. The „green“ entrance zone that includes a placement of individual objects (office building, presentation pavilion, info center) has been solved as a pre-diploma thesis.
