Modelling of closed space acousticsby the beam method
Ryšavý, Marek ; Orlovský, Kristián (referee) ; Trzos, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the modeling of room acoustics using the ray tracing method. The first chapter deals with a general description of the basic properties of acoustic environment (wave acoustics, statistical acoustics and geometric acoustics). Then are described methods of calculating geometrical acoustics (image-source method, ray-tracing method and beam-tracing method). In the second chapter of this work is described in detail ray tracing methods and algorithm for calculate room acoustic using this method.
Measurement of the reverberation time
Hořák, Pavel ; Ryndová, Anna (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with issues concerning measuring of reverberation time in closed rooms. Two evaluation methods are described in this thesis; integrated impulse response method and interrupted noise method. Data were recorded with the aid of acoustic module Photon+ and RT Pro 7.1. software. Practical part comprises implementation of evaluation programme in Matlab environment. Computation of reverberation curves is a major output of the thesis. Individual methods are compared on the basis of discovered figures.
Digital modeling of the orchestra sound
Puczok, Daniel ; Pellant, Karel (referee) ; Doložílek, Miroslav (advisor)
This report is guide along simulation of sound sources and orchestra. Basic physical characteristics necessary to the simulation of sound sources are described here. Description of the creation of directivity files in ODEON and theirs conversion from CATT-Acoustic to ODEON are described here too. Acquired directivity files were used for simulation of orchestra and for testing the directivity characteristics to room acoustics parameters.
Akustic of the musical club
Dostál, Miroslav ; Berka, Pavel (referee) ; Donaťáková, Dagmar (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the problems of interior acoustics. Within the scope of the thesis measurements were taken, followed by 3D modeling and subsequent design modifications of Olomouc acoustic music club Metro. The calculations used a specialized software (Odeon Room Acoustics Program). The result of the work is a proposal of suitable reconstruction and acoustic treatment, which will be achieved by optimalization of reverberation time, in an effort to improve the physical properties of the object.
Reconstruction of cultural education centre
Hrůza, Vojtěch ; Berka, Pavel (referee) ; Donaťáková, Dagmar (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with matters of interior acoustics. Within the scope of the thesis, a design alteration proposal in terms of enhancing sound quality and reverberation time of an existing multi-purpose cultural hall situated in town of Karvina was carried out. First design draft was made using manual calculation process and processed afterwards using specialized software (Odeon Room Acoustics Program). Within the thesis’s specialization study, a design of forced ventilation combined with heat recovery and new roof support structure using wooden truss girders was made. A design proposal dealing with building structure alterations and minor changes in operational facility layout was also made. New flat roofs layer assembly and exterior walls insulation was designed. Taking all proposed changes into consideration, new fire safety design documentation was made. Final outcome is therefore overall reconstruction of the given building object in pursuit of enhancing operational facility layout, overall interior and exterior esthetics and building physics parameters of the object.
Optimalization of Audio Reproduction Chain for Hearing Tests
Halaš, Rostislav ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This project describes basic steps leading to the solution of a problem associated with a poor quality of played recordings in the listening room of the Škoda Auto co. . Firstly, the main technical parameters of the reproduction chain elements are resumed. Secondly, the basics of the room acoustics, such as the distribution of the sound field in a bordered space, are explained. On the basis of theoretical relations, the main modes of a cubic room are calculated. Then, software for acoustic response computing is used to simulate various options of both room idealization (room size, absorption coefficient, etc.) and listening point location. Simulations are compared with results gained by measurement. On the basis of this measurement, the quality of acoustics of the listening room is evaluated. In next chapters, the process of the optimalization of the audio chain and setup of the Automotive Sound Quality software are summarized. To conclude, the results are assessed and further steps based on the project are proposed.
Using reverberators to modify space acoustics
Pavlikovský, Vladislav ; Orlovský, Kristián (referee) ; Kurc, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with adjusting the reverberation time of enclosed spaces. It is divided into two thematic areas. The first thematic area deals with active systems that adjust the reverberation time, with a stronger focus on usage of reverberators to simulate secondary spaces. The second thematic area is the implementation of reverberators and their fundamental building blocks in Matlab.
Assessment of diffusion coefficient
Mikeš, Petr ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Míča, Ivan (advisor)
Most acoustic measurements and parameters provided by a manufacturer of acoustic elements, which are offering additional solutions to room acoustics as well as acoustic construction works, are mainly limited to the parameters associated with absorption of individual elements. Until now, these diffusional elements have been neglected. Diffusi- onal panels are used to e.g. eliminate direct reflection of sound waves to the listener or reflection of sound waves concentrated at one point. Combination of absorptive acoustic panels and diffusion elements results in a space that is customised to the submitter’s needs.

Study of acoustic properties of enclosed rooms
Kovařík, Filip ; Fišarová, Zuzana (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the acoustics of enclosed spaces, its behaviour and impact on the clarity and quality of presentation. Here is written transmission of acoustic energy, behaviour of spatial and building acoustics, which builds their diagnostic methods. The work also includes legislative requirements stipulated by the acoustics of enclosed spaces and the achievement of these requirements using different types of acoustic absorption capacity of materials, applications, and more specifically their basic properties. In the experimental part, the measurement of reverberation time in a selected room and the adaptation of acoustic properties so that attained legislative requirements
