Změna základního tónu řeči a transformace hlasu pomocí PSOLA
Nemšák, Slavomír
In the paper a voice transformation approach based on the application of the Pitch Synchronous OverLap and Add /PSOLA/ principle and resampling is proposed. This algorithm has lower computational demands than frequency domain methods.

Development of brown trout (Salmo trutta) after hatching: comparative analysis of parents influence, originating from the natural and artificial living environment
Prokeš, Miroslav ; Randák, T. ; Peňáz, Milan ; Baruš, Vlastimil ; Žlábek, V.
Early development of brown trout (Salmo trutta L.) in the period after hatching was analysed. Three different series (A, B, C) of eleuterembryos, larvae and juveniles were compared by means of selected morphometry parameters (total length, fork length, standard length, head length, body depth, yolk sac length, height and depth, body height, mouth width and mouth diameter). Development of fry originating from parents from natural environment (line A) and from artificial environment (line B) was standard without significant differences. Growth rate of fry in line C (female from artificial environment and male from natural conditions) was slower in the period with exogenous nutrition. Combination C showed from a stand point of ours results as a little acceptable for production of fish stock.
Nanogranulární vrstvy Co-Al-O připravené laserovou ablací
Chayka, Oleksandr ; Kraus, Luděk ; Fendrych, František ; Kocourek, Tomáš ; Jelínek, Miroslav
The measurements of magnetic and transport properties of the films deposited by laser ablation show that the films prepared on room temperature substrates consist of single-domain nanosized Co particles embeded in an insulating matrix. The films deposited on heated substrates show two orders lower resistance and their MR is one order smaller. This can be explained by the appearance of metallic type conductivity in a network of particles that is presumably due to coalescence of the grains
Microfinance and microcredits in developing countries
Adamcová, Eva ; Zetek, Pavel (advisor)
The main objective of the baccalaureate thesis is to compare through selected financial analysis ratios two leading approaches to financing the low-income population of the third world. The first approach is based on financial self-sufficiency of microfinancial institutions, the second is dependent on obtaining grants and donations. It was found out that financially self-sufficient institutions are able to serve more clients and have higher repayment rate on loans than non-self-sufficient institutions, however both types have lower portfolio at risk and write-off ratio than commercial banks. The work also deals with history of microfinance, its benefits such as positive impacts on health and education or possible drawbacks, e.g. abuse of power by group leaders. The globalization of the world's microfinancial system is taken into account in determination of alternative source for financing the microentrepreneurs, namely participation of small investors via internet.
Approach to usage of computer workstations considering the aspect of their energy demands

This thesis deals with possibilities of a personal computer energy savings through human interaction. .It considers available technologies and draw from commonly known users' habits and maladies. It tries to focus on users' view, identify the aspects of interaction with the computer, which represents the place for energy conservation. Thesis presumes to outline patterns in behavior, applicable to individuals and to corporate environment. Thesis arrange in layers basic thoughts of users' view and tries to consider the details of users' habits to be able to bring a concrete suggestions how to improve approach to usage of personal computers with the effect of lower energy consumption. At first thesis defines commonly known global problems which come with the usage of personal computers. It does not consider the hardware side of the problem. It outlines the most often problems, which are being done by users and it brings summary of solutions, which are described in partial sections of the thesis. At the end it consists of case study of DHL ITSC Prague s.r.o., on which it shows possible financial savings.
Analysis of sports clubs behavior: Do clubs maximize revenues from ticket sales?
Miškovský, Karel ; Janíčko, Martin (advisor) ; Bolcha, Peter (referee)
A general tendency in ticket pricing that is used by sports clubs all around the world is to set prices in the inelastic part of the demand curve. Despite this there have been complaints by soccer fans in the Czech Republic who believe that ticket prices for the Czech premier league are too high. To show the real situation, price elasticities were computed based on data from seasons 2006-2010 that were provided by three Czech soccer clubs. To achieve this, demand functions have been nailed down, assuming the possibility to price-discriminate between two types of demands, one for high quality seats and the other for low quality seats. The results show that Czech soccer teams behave like a normal profit maximizing monopolist firm and therefore the fan hypotheses about the prices being too high had to be rejected.
Regional policy of the European Union focused on the member countries of Central and Eastern Europe
Knotková, Pavla ; Jeníček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Abrhám, Josef (referee)
Thesis is focused on regional policy of the European Union (known as cohesion policy). The goal of the regional policy is to reduce regional disparities among the member countries of the European Union. Therefore, regional policy has an important role among other policies of the European Union. In the period from 2007 to 2013, regional spending account for 36% of the EU budget. The recent enlargement to 27 Member States has dramatically increased disparity levels across the EU. The new Member States have lower levels of income per head and employment rates than other EU countries. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part characterizes development of the regional policy, its principles and financial instruments. The second part describes enlargement of the European Union to 27 member states, its impacts, reform of the regional policy and the time period from 2007 to 2013. Different views on impacts of the regional policy together with short case study are added. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the convergence process among the old and new Member states.
Analysis and evaluation of internal communication in a particular firms
Marel, Miloslav ; Střížová, Vlasta (advisor) ; Novák, Marek (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to highlight the important aspects in internal company relationships focusing on corporate culture and internal communication. The theoretical terms such as information, communication, motivation, work motivation, organizational culture, domestic corporate communications and their interrelationships are described in the introductory part. The background and knowledge of the theoretical parts are used in the analysis of two specific companies (the first is a Czech middle-sized company with a long tradition and the other is the Czech branch of multinational pharmaceutical corporation) in the practical part. Data were collected by questionnaire, supplemented by personal interviews with staff and management of both companies. Data were evaluated according to several criteria, mostly according to corporate nationality and job title (ordinary employee, manager, top manager). The analysis found many failures in internal communication in both companies, especially in communicating with ordinary employees. Comparing the two companies showed that the level of internal communication in the Czech company is at significantly lower level than in a company with a strong foreign background. Based on the results of analysis and knowledge of internal communication issues were the two companies at the end of the analysis provided with the concrete measures to improve their corporate culture through internal communication. Overall, the results of the practical part indicated that the corporate culture and internal communication are still underestimated in the environment of Czech firms and at a lower level in comparison with foreign companies.
