Environmentally Advanced Library
Burýšková, Jana ; Vyhlídalová, Karolína (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
The main aim of the Master‘s project is to design a library and a cafe in Příbram. The project is divided into three parts. The first part deals with architectural and structural design. The second with technical building services and the third with thermal imaging. The building has a basement and two above-ground floors. The building is founded on foundation strips. The building is designed with load-bearing brick walls and pre-stressed slabs Spiroll. The roof is a flat intensive green roof. The building envelope is insulated with mineral wool. In the building there is air a conditioning and a cooling system. As a heat source, a pressure-independent heat exchanger unit connected to the local hot water pipe will be used. A part of the electricity consumption is covered by photovoltaics. In the third part there are images from a thermal camera for some libraries. Imagines were evaluated if there are thermal bridges in the measured libraries. The project was carried out in the AutoCAD programme.
Kindergarten with a Daycare Center
Okál, Tomáš ; Melcr, Petr (referee) ; Fišarová, Zuzana (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the preparation of the designated functional parts of the project documentation for the realization of the construction. The object serves two different purposes. The first purpose is a two-story kindergarten facility with two classes for 16 children each. This part is made as a wooden structure using a two-by-four-column structure. The roof is designed as a counter made of wooden I-beams. The roofing consists of coating hydro insulation. In addition to kindergarten, the given part of the building will also provide facilities for certified teachers and facilities for kitchen, cleaning and maintenance workers. On the second floor, there is an entrance to the terrace formed by an intensive green roof. This roof also serves as a construction of a flat roof for part of the daycare facility. The daycare centre can accommodate ten people in full operation. This facility also includes a workspace for a certified employee who takes care of the building's clients, as well as facilities for a canteen, cleaning, and maintenance. The facility is designed as a brick building with a separate entrance. Each of the two purposes provides its clients with the possibility of entering the area through a separate entrance with reserved parking spaces. The entrance to both buildings is equipped with barrier-free access. The object will primarily serve the citizens of Horné Dubové but also the citizens of the surrounding municipalities.
Multipurpose Educational Centre
Drahokoupilová, Barbora ; Vystrčil, Jan (referee) ; Košíčková, Ivana (advisor)
The objective of my diploma thesis is to design multipurpose educational centre. The project consists of three parts. The aim of the first one is to create the architectural and structural design. The building is mainly centred around four common rooms accompanied by a simple kitchen and basic amenities. It is a two-storey building with a green roof. Its floor area is 327 m2. The vertical load-bearing structures are masonry, specifically made of aerated concrete blocks. The horizontal load-bearing structures are designed as cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs. Envelope walls are insulated with mineral wool because of its elliptical floor plan. The foundation is cast-in-situ concrete slab. The second part focuses on a building services design. Domestic hot water and heating is provided by a gas boiler and electricity is partly supplied by a photovoltaic system. The building has mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. There is an underground tank for collecting rainwater that is used for watering the garden. The third part relates to facility management. It focuses on facility operations and core and non-core activities.

Residential care house is designed as two-storey building without basement with flat roof. On the first floor there is utility area for senior house and healthcare facility and on the second floor there are flats for seniors. Residential care house is built on footing. Load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls are designed from hollow bricks type THERM. External walls are insulated with mineral wool. The roofing of residential care house is made up of extensive green roof. The building services of the building includes two ground-water heat pumps with boreholes for heating and cooling, photovoltaic panels, HVAC, hot water cylinder and rainwater storage tank. The final part is focused on noise control in building. It is about acoustic in construction. Noise study is also included.
Office building with retail space Žilina
Hubocká, Zuzana ; Kalánek, Jiří (referee) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
Master project is dedicated to design nearly zero-energy office building with retail spaces in Žilina. The first part deals with architectural – building design. Building is designed for the plot nr. 7011 with flat surface and there is no other building. The building has three above-ground floors and one underground floor. Retail spaces are on the ground floor. The building is constructed on foundation strips and pads. The building is made of combined load-bearing structural system of reinforced concrete columns and external walls. External load-bearing structures of above ground floors are designed from reinforced concrete and Ytong system supplemented by ETICS made of mineral wool. Underground walls are made from watertight concrete. Floor slab structures are made from reinforced concrete. The building is covered with green warm flat roof. The second part deals with building interior installation. The primary source of heat, coldness and hot water is the heat pump. Ventilation in the building is provided by heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) units. The third part of the thesis includes the design and assessment of the photovoltaic power plant in terms of economics and ecology. The project was carried out in the AutoCad system. All structures comply with the valid standards and regulations.

Vizualization of flow of fibers from insulation mineral wool
Kedajová, Kristýna ; Elcner, Jakub (referee) ; Lízal, František (advisor)
One of the most used insulation materials of our time is mineral wool. As with formerly used asbestos, not all the health impacts of mineral wool fibers inhalation are known. The aim of this thesis is to gather findings relating to the transport of aerosols, their deposition in human airways and to obtain and statistically evaluate experimental data from the visualization of fibres in the glass tube resembling human airways. This data can improve understanding of the relation between glass fibres action and possible health hazard.
