Smalll Room Acoustics
Martin, Martin ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This semestral paper deals with an objective quality criteria of small rooms intended for music performance.
The family house in Hrádek
Pyszková, Dorota ; Malý, Radek (referee) ; Krupicová, Jana (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the project documentation of a new build house with regard to the requirements of thermal techniques, fire safety and acoustics. It is a brick, detached family house with a gable roof, which has two floors and is a partial basement. The building is based on foundation strips. The project also includes essay dealing with the thermal insulation of pitched roofs.
Lodging house for cyclists
Jirka, Petr ; Peterka, Tomáš (referee) ; Müller, Jan (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is a design of a newly built guesthouse on a bicycle path in the village Spálené Poříčí. The building is designed in a gently sloping terrain towards the west. The main entrance faces the south. It is an object without a basement and with two above ground floors. The structure of the building is a transverse wall system made of ceramic fittings. Other walls are also made of ceramic fittings. The entire building is based upon the stripe foundations and footings. Pension is covered in the part of the accommodation and in the restaurant part with a gable roof. For the restaurant, a terrace is designed on the west side of the building. In this thesis, static and building equipments are solved. The building is also evaluated in the terms of lighting, thermal, acoustic requirements and the fire safety of building is also solved.
Measurement of the rain rate instantaneous value using acoustic method
Kresta, Daniel ; Poliak, Juraj (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
This thesis deals with implementation of the rainfall rate measurement using an acoustic method. It is divided into four parts. In the first part of the thesis a necessary theoretical knowledge is analysed. The second part contains a design of a workplace used for the measurement. The third part presents and analyses important experimental recordings acquired in the workplace. Then all measured values are processed and applied in the measuring program. The last part summarizes results of the thesis, advantages and disadvantages of using the acoustic rainfall rate meter.
Measurment of Impact of Environment Acoustics on Speech Recognition Accuracy
Paliesek, Jakub ; Žmolíková, Kateřina (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with investigation of impacts of acoustical parameters on automatic speech recognition (ASR) accuracy. Used ASRs were evaluated on Speecon, Temic and LibriSpeech corpuses. This work includes comparison of different versions of these data, which were created using retransmission in several rooms and artificial retransmission using impulse responses. These were created using methods Exponential sine sweep (ESS) and Maximum length sequence (MLS) for real rooms, as well as using Image source model (ISM) method, which generates artificial impulse responses. Output of the thesis is comparison of these types of retransmission. For ESS method, ASR accuracy for different lengths of the excitation signal is examined. Furthermore, the impact of relative position between source and receiver, presence of barriers and directionality of microphones is studied.
Acoustic emissions of buildings
Smažinka, Josef ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with acoustics with the main focus on acoustic emissions of buildings. The first part of the thesis aims to familiarize the reader with the field of acoustics as a whole. They will learn the basic concepts, quantities and relations that exist in acoustics. In the second part I focus specifically on the sources of noise in buildings and their surroundings, how can excessive noise affect health, what standards must be met and how to prevent excessive noise. The last part is devoted to practical measurements in the field, which is focused on real sources of noise in the city of Brno. The aim of this measurement is to compare the noise generated by buildings with other noises in the urban environment.
Noise Analysis of Audio Signals
Kabarová, Anísa ; Mach, Václav (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The theoretical part of this work deals with the basics of acoustics, noise measurement and statistical noise level analysis. The application part focuses on the implementation of the frequency and time weighting according to the technical standard IEC 61672 and the statistical noise level analysis in MATLAB programming environment. Finally the reliability of the application is tested on real data and the results are compared to those measured by a digital Sound Level Meter.
Airconditioning of surgeries
Stojanová, Barbora ; Andrys, Petr (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the designing of air-conditioning on surgeries and spaces which are necessary for the operation of this surgeries. Air-conditioning equipment is proposed to meet hygienic and operational requirements. Computational part is designed on im-plementation project level. The theoretical part is focused on clean spaces, commissioning and final validation.
The health center
Pyszková, Dorota ; Krupica, Roman (referee) ; Krupicová, Jana (advisor)
The Diploma Thesis deals with project documentation of a newly built health centre with regard to the requirements of thermal technology, fire safety and acoustics. It is a brick, detached, flat roof and three storey building. The construction is built on the foundation stripes. A seminar work is a part of the thesis. It includes all requirements that have to be complied during designing the health center. Next parts of the project focus on different specialisations processed at Institute of Concrete and Masonry Structures and at Institute of Building Services.
Noise reduction oriented optimization of UAV propellers
Ecler, Matěj ; Matějů, Jiří (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with optimization of propellers with the aim to reduce their noise level. Based on the measurement of noise level of serial propellers, major propeller noise sources were evaluated. Subsequent 2D simulations of the flow on the individual profiles along the propeller span revealed the locations of separation bubbles, which were identified as a potential source of the noise. Based on these findings, propellers were equipped with turbulator trips of various dimensions and their effect on the noise level and efficiency of the propellers was experimentally verified. The results did not show contribution of turbulator trips to noise reduction or efficiency.
