There are many factors in population which can potentially raise the risk of the incidence of SSI. The maintenance of basic rules of the AP and knowledge, influence and timely elimination of risk factors of SSI are the most important measures which can reduce a number of postoperative SSI. The aim of this study was to analyze antibiotic administration in prophylaxis in the local hospital in the Czech Republic and compare the results to well known international guidelines (ASHP-G) and latest scientific knowledge (LSK). Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted in October 2019. During the period from 2nd to 23rd October, the data of surgeries and used AP were collected. It is the administration of an eligible antibiotic or chemotherapeutic (ATB) in a single dose, usually 30 minutes before surgery, followed by two to three doses during or after the surgery, regarding the selected ATB and the surgical procedure. The aim of this work was to analyse the AP in surgical procedures at the Masaryk Hospital in Ústí nad Labem (MNUL) in the context of the MNUL guideline (DP) and the research on available AP work. Methods: A cross-sectional observational study ran from January 2018 to March 2018 in surgical departments at MNUL. The study included patients aged ≥ 18 years who underwent surgery in a defined period (5 February 2018 to 9 February 2018) and gave their consent to the study. They affect patient's safety from the long-term point of view.1 The great part of medication errors occurs on the level of drug administration.2 In healthcare facilities mostly nurses are responsible for medication administration.3 AIM To obtain and evaluate medication errors during drug administration by nurses in a healthcare facility. METHODICS A prospective observational study was conducted in the facility Hamzova léčebna for children and adults focusing on medical rehabilitation. The aim was to analyze and compare key parameters of AP in osteosynthesis of pertrochanteric fractures with the previous investigation and the methodological guidelines of the University Hospital. Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study took place from 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020 at the Department of Traumatology at the University Hospital. PharmDr. Josef Malý, Ph.D. Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University Introduction and purpose: The therapy of hospice care patients is accompanied by many changes and pitfalls that need to be balanced when choosing appropriate therapy. In the teoretic part we can find available information about paliative therapy of hospice care patients, with emhasis on pain therapy. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of pharmacotherapy hospice care patients. Methods: The data were collected in a hospice from September 2019 to November 2019. The farmacotherapy was revised every first day of the month. Informations from personal, drug, family and occupational social history of patients were noted into an electronic database and, after revision, were classified and evaluated by frequency analysis. In four randomly selected patients was described the management of drug-related problems (DRP). Results: In total we noted medical therapy in 40 patients, women were 75 % of this number. These problems can often endanger patient's health and increase the economic cost of the treatment. However, many of these problems can be prevented by controls and collaboration of all health care subjects. Objective: The aim of this work was to carry out a revision of pharmacotherapy in a rehabilitation health facility and to analyse acquired drug-related problems. Methodology: The collection of data took place from 13 to 15 February 2017 in health facility in the Czech Republic. The review of pharmacotherapy was performed by a three-member team (clinical pharmacist, pharmacist, work researcher). The data obtained from the provided medical records were recorded into the database, which was prepared for the purpose of the pharmacotherapy review. Their occurrence is associated with many problems and therefore should be avoided. Effective prevention involves analyzing risk factors and implementing interventions to minimize these risks. The aim of this work was to analyze the influence of drugs and other risk factors on the fall of hospitalized patients. Methods: Data was collected from April to December 2017 in 4 hospitals in South Bohemia. Only patients who had fallen during hospitalization participated in the study. An online database was created for the study to collect patient data (personal history, medications used, laboratory values and others). Population and individual fall risk-increasing drugs were analyzed. For each individual fall risk-increasing drug, the type of drug problem that could have been the cause of a fall was classified. The falls have a multifactorial character. The prevention is the best way how to improve a quality of healthcare and a quality of the patient's life. All of the doctors, clinical pharmacists and nurses can help to realize it by cooperating with each other, working with professional information and by individual attitude to each patient. Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of the fall risk-increasing drugs to falls in hospitalized patients and to recommend the right interventions to prevent the fall. The aim of this study was analysis of therapy in patients with JIA focusing on MTX and faktors affecting its intolerance. Methods: The study was undertaken from January 2017 to February 2018 at the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. Patients younger than 18 years old, who have become ill with JIA for the first time or repeatedly between years 2015-2017 and were treated by MTX were included in this study.
