The bachelor's work deals with alcoholism, delinquency, therapies and following abstention. The theoretical part offers the creation of alcohol addiction, its cause and progress, the effects of alcohol on man and his behaviour and prevention options at secondary schools. It also describes the stage of alcoholism and the treatments and therapies. The author focuses on the leisure activities of minors and ways how to overcome alcoholism. Method for the theoretical part is the study of the available literary sources and at the same time the experience of the area. The practical part of using casuistry explores how some high school pupils trying to cure alcoholism of how they spend their free time without alcohol consumption, and manage every day abstinence treatment and whether they have an interest.
A case study of a recovering alcoholic wife living together with an alcoholic husband

Background: Abstinent woman, former alcohol user, who is in marriage with active alcohol user. Concept co-dependency (Kudrle, 2003, Whitfield, 1991). Determination, agreement and the will of the married couple for participation in this case study concerning alcohol use and its effects on their coexistence. Objectives and research questions: The main objective of this thesis was to investigate the coexistence of an alcohol-dependent husband with abstinent wife. The main research question was: How is the coexistence of dependent partner with abstinent wife? Additional research questions were: 1) Does, the coexistence look as harmonic in the eyes of the couple and does it fulfil the image of the ideal partnership? 2) What is the role of the respondents in the partnership - is there a sign of co-dependency? 3) Which are the relaps prevention techniques the wife use for maintaining the abstinence? 4) What circumstance or situations may motivate the husband to quit alcohol use? Methodology: The gathering of data for this case study was done by qualitative approach. The main collection methods were the semi-structures in-depth interviews (Miovský, 2006). Needs of people addicted to drugs to keep succesfull abstinence in aftercare

The topic Needs of people addicted to drugs and alcohol to maintain succesful abstinence in aftercare was chosen. Aftercare is an important part of addiction treatment, but often overlooked and unused. The aim is to clarify the needs of abstinent persons addicted to alcohol and other non-alcohol drugs and their subsequent comparison. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the development of addiction, its diagnosis, description of drugs and treatments options. Chapters dealing with treatment are thoroughly discussed because of the individual usage during the treatment of addiction. Aftecare of addicted people and problems with relapse take place in this part of work. The second part deals with research focused on identifying the needs of addicted people to drugs and alcohol to maintain successful abstinence and their subsequent comparison. Clarifying of these needs can serve as a recommendation to other abstaining people or as a support to services in the system of aftercare to successful abstinence nowadays. Sugar addiction among abstinent clients in the psychiatric hospital Bohnice

The topic of the thesis focuses on nutrition for people recovering from alcohol addiction.The theoretical part of the thesis is to detect excessive use of sugar abstinent women in a psychiatric hospital and common characteristics depending on the seasoning.This section will be described alcohol, its production, its effects and impact on human health. Also described are the mechanisms of physical and psychological dependence on sugar. The harmfulness of sugar on the human body and the effect on his health. It pointed to the eating habits abstinent women in a psychiatric hospital. In the practical part of the thesis using quantitative research focuses on finding eating habits, specifically the amount of consumption of sugar-containing foods, with clients Bohnice Psychiatric Hospital, patients recovering from alcohol addiction. The aim of this section is to determine whether the amount of sugar accepted during the stay in a psychiatric hospital creates dependency on the delicacies. The practical part also shows the ratio of patients addicted to sugar, sugar endangered, or patients without addiction. Social work with troubled family

This bachelor's thesis focuses on social work with a troubled family member. In this particular case, it looks at living with a substance abuser. The situation lasted a very long twelve years; at this time, the man in question is trying to remain abstinent. The theoretical section of the thesis explains the basic terms associated primarily with social work, the family, and drug dependency as well as other information that is relevant to the selected topic. The practical section of the thesis consists of a case study of the aforementioned substance abuser, supplemented by an interview with his younger brother. The primary objective of this thesis is to prove the important role the family plays when one of its members is trying to remain abstinent. The secondary objective is to show how the drug addiction of one family member can disrupt the organisation of the overall family system. Both of these defined objectives have been achieved.

Bachelor thesis "Psychosocial addiction on gambling machines" focuses on gambling disorder. The goal of this project was to study the awareness about the pathological gambling in young people. Introduction of the thesis provides the basic knowledge about problem gambling including treatment options and information about available self - help organizations. Next part provides information about the vulnerable population groups which are considered more at risk for developing gambling problems, and gambling related risks for the players and for their family members. The practical part provides research survey, analyzing the attitude of the high school students to gambling and their awareness of pathological gambling.
Secondary and terciary prevention of addictive substance

My final work is about three basic types of prevention, which are used in the field of narcotic's prevention. It's mostly about secondary and tertiary prevention. Besides the basic terminology you can read about the details of differents preventions, who is responsible for it and also about the treatment of addictive behaviours. In my work you can also find the descriptions of legal and illegal narcotics, which excessive using leads to jones. The questions in the questionaire were created with a respect to the respondents - they are the clients of the mental treatment, who decided to help themselves (sometimes not for the first time).
