Use of Supervision in the Social Services

The thesis focuses on mapping and analysis of the current functioning of supervision in social services in the region of Liberec. The research aspires to find answers to the question of the scope of supervision in the social services in the given region and what type of supervision prevails in these facilities. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on collection and classification of generally available documents on supervision in the Czech Republic. It deals with the definition of the term supervision and the historical context of its creation in the field of social services. This part of the thesis describes the basic functions of supervision, structure of the supervisory process and its types. It draws the basic conditions of a successful introduction of supervision in organisations and in this context deals with the current issue of supervisions as a part of the quality standards of social services. The aim of the theoretical part is to create theoretical starting points for the practical research and determination of hypotheses. The practical part aspires to map the current situation in the supervisory activities in the field of social services. The research was carried on in the region of Liberec in social services facilities. The practical part included a preliminary research performed in the form of a controlled interview with five supervisors. The research itself had a form of a questionnaire. The aim was to find out whether supervision works in the facilities, what is the most frequent topic of the current supervision, how the workers conceive supervision and what type of supervision prevails in the organisations. Secondarily, the research focused on the analysis of the used from of supervision, frequency of supervisory meetings and review of the supervision by the workers. A partial goal of the research was to find out how the head workers cope with the introduction of supervision at their workplaces and how they motivate their employees to participate in the supervision. The research in the region of Liberec unquestionably showed that supervision has been slowly bringing itself to the attention of the workers in the field of social services. Though institutions with supervision introduced at the workplaces prevail in this field, there are still many organisations in which supervision has not been carried on due to various reasons. It has turned out that in facilities with a functioning supervision, it is usually conceived as one of the possible ways how to support the workers in the assisting professions and its presence in the organisation has been considered beneficial. The research maps opinions and attitudes of respondents to a ``good{\crqq} supervisor and ethical principles in supervision accompanied by practical instructions and recommendations.
The Supervision as a Burn-out Syndrome Prevention

The work is processed only theoretically. It describe charakteristic of burn-out syndrome and factor, which have influence at his rise and general symptome. In the next part of work is supervision, her function and type of supervision. The aim of the work is introduce of supervision as one of possibility prevention burn-out syndrome.
Effect of supervising students of Healthy and social faculty to mentor´s nurse attitude at offer nursing care.

This diploma thesis is focused on the influence of teaching students of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia in Czech Budejovice on a mentor nurse´s attitude to nursing care provision. In the first chapter of the theoretical section the term nurse is introduced, and it is dealt with her duties, roles, attitudes, it is explained who a mentor nurse is and what topics a pilot certified course contains. The next four chapters are focused on a supervisor´s personality, supervision issues, teachers and their non-traditional roles and the didactic skills of a mentor. The description of a mentor´s didactic skills is divided into education, student diagnostics, teaching goals and classroom practices. The sixth part deals with student clinical practice mentors, their role in clinical practice, assessment and feedback and mentorship as an advancement of nurses´ work. The seventh chapter of the theoretical section introduces the issue of communication as an integral part of nursing practice teaching and in the last section we have focused on the issue of evidence-based nursing. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the impact of nursing practice teaching on a mentor nurse´s attitude to nursing care provision and students´ evaluation of a mentor nurse´s achievements in nursing care provision. The outcomes of the quantitative research, conducted by using a questionnaire method, confirm the hypothesis 1 suggesting that students regard mentor nurses´ nursing procedures as standards for their future practice. We can also confirm the hypothesis 3 suggesting that students believe that a mentor nurse considers the correct information registration into nursing documentation as necessary, and also the hypothesis 2 suggesting that students believe that a mentor nurse can communicate more effectively than other staff nurses was confirmed. Mentor nurses´ attitudes to nursing care provision were identified by using qualitative investigation by asking research questions. Out of the six nurses interviewed, four mentor nurses consider mentorship as knowledge contribution to the field of communication with people, four mentor nurses consider mentorship as stimulation for improving their own expertise, four mentor nurses would be willing to introduce new knowledge into practice and provide nursing care in accordance with the EBN. The knowledge gained form this research work may serve as a suggestion and aid for students planning to carry out clinical nursing practice at a clinic, for nurses who have been working or have been preparing to work as clinic mentor nurses, and certainly for all of those who wish to learn more on this issue and to understand the mentor nurse job.
THE BURNOUT SYNDROME PREVENTION AMONG SOCIAL WORKERS

The theoretical part of this thesis is devoted to the definition of the burnout syndrome, its relation to social workers, causes of rise, the process and above all it deals with the prevention of the burnout syndrome. The practical part is specialized in the monitoring of prevention at the organization level. In the research four types of organizations are engaged: home for seniors, hospital, charity, detachment of social-legal protection of children. As a research method was used secondary and contentual data analysis and semi-controlled interview with leadership workers. The research proved that the most important methods of burnout prevention at the organization level belongs to an acceptable working environment, team cooperation, feedback, extra education and supervision.
Methods of Work in the Centre of Pedagogical Care

Theoretical part is conserned with preventively pedagogical care, the parting of the pedagogical care centre and his staff. This is concernrd with methods in the pedagogical care centre.
The Role of the Czech National Bank in the Field of Financial Markets Regulation and Supervision

Bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of impact of financial markets integration under the Czech national bank supervision, which was implemented on 1st April 2006. The theoretical part deals with general characteristic of financial market, function of financial dealers, creation, development, classification and supervision of regulation systems and modern approaches to this regulation. Then I concetrated on comparison of regulation and supervision systems in European Union and in the world, where I mentioned the Great Britain system as an example. In Great Britain, the supervision is intergated to one supervisory authority analogous with the system in the Czech republic. I outlined the situation in the Czech republic before integration where there were 4 supervisory authorities. Then I described approaches of integration under the supervision of Czech national bank. At the end of the theoretical part some activities that Czech national bank took over are described. The practical part is aimed at the evaluation of integration impact and whether the integration is efficient and conducts to saving expenses. Then number of chosen subjects on financial markets in 2005 and at present is compared and analysed.
Specialities of regulation of the insurance market

The work is focused on regulation of the insurance market. Firstly it introduces an explication and general reasons for regulation of insurance. Next up it deals with evolution of regulation and its current form in conditions of Czech Republic's ambient and in the European Union. More detailed is description of the Solvency II project. The work also mentions the currently debated question about increases in capital requirements.
Analysis of the impact of financial crisis

The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the new upcoming changes in regulation and supervision of financial systems and present author's own view of the success, effectiveness and necessity of these measures in the context of the recent economic crisis. It begins with the part, which contains a description of the factors that influenced the crisis the most and discusses the means of Central Banks to intervene effectively even before the emergence of the crisis from the perspective of regulation and supervision. The second part describes newly discussed and some already adopted changes and actions in the regulation and supervision of the financial system, particularly changes in bank capital, the removal of pro-cyclicality, accounting views and the liquidity risk management. In conclusion, the author presents his views on the direction of regulation and supervision, the effectiveness of the measures taken, their ability to prevent crises in the future and at what price did they achieve the objectives in focus.
Integration of regulation and supervision within the frame of European Union

This part also contents beginning of economic integration in Europe and theme concerned with beginnings of integration regulation and supervision. The practical part concerned with modern form of regulation and supervision in European Union. Particularly I mention global analysis of J. de Larosiére report, specifying rating agencies.
Burnout in Help Professions
