Comparison of localization limiters for strain-softening
Květoň, Josef ; Vořechovský, Miroslav (referee) ; Eliáš, Jan (advisor)
It is well known, that simulation of crack propagation using the finite element method is dependent on mesh discretization. The thesis compares two approaches, that are designed to reduce the mesh influence: (I) the crack band model and (II) the nonlocal model. These localization limiters are applied to simulate three-point-bent beam with and without notch. The model of the beam is made with several variants of mesh discretization differing in finite element size and inclination. Performance of both localization limiters is discussed.
Lokalizace Globální Kampaně: Příkladová Studie Durex “Real Feel”
Bestová, Dominika ; Průša, Přemysl (advisor) ; Bahles, Michael (referee)
This bachelor thesis introduces in the beginning the basic theory of marketing and brands. The main topic there is the debate of standartization against local adaptation of marketing activities in the environment of global markets. The practical part then presents a case study of Durex brand, where a centrally developed campaign Real Feel was localized for needs of the United Arabic Emirates market.
Analysis and design of an application for CIC o.p.s.
Vu Quoc, Dat ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Günter, Vladislav (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with a plan and an analysis of application for an organisation The Centre for Integration of Foreigners. In the first part is outlined theoretical basis about history of Android and its versions, after that terms localization and internationalization are explained as application will be used by many consumers with different language skills. In next part of bachelor thesis is assessed current condition of web pages of CIC organization and is conducted analysis of the market from two sides of view. Firstly, analysis of the organizations that offer development of application and secondly, analysis of applications available at the moment in the market. In order to find out requirements to application of future consumers survey research will be conducted and evaluated survey research. In the last part of this thesis requirements to application are named and analysed, finally is presented a rough plan of application CZECHTACK with help of mobile screens pictures or database model.
Marketing communication in the international cross-cultural environment
Anikienko, Valeriya ; Vávra, Oldřich (advisor) ; Koudelka, Jan (referee)
Master thesis is focused on examining the influence of cultural factors on the choice of international marketing communication strategy, with emphasis on communication in the online environment. The theoretical section is devoted to the description of possible strategies of marketing communication linked to the cultural context and current world trends. Furthermore, with the help of a secondary analysis of previous studies the question of influence of cultural factors in the online environment is explored, namely its influence on the design and content of websites. The practical part is based on the descriptive analysis of current trends in the selection of internet communication strategies by major international companies in the selected industries. The work is enhanced by the results of in-depth interviews with experts in the field of international and digital marketing.
Socio-economic impacts of the strategic industrial zones on the development of the region
Horáčková, Veronika ; Damborský, Milan (advisor) ; Hornychová, Taťána (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to define socio-economic impacts of the strategic industrial zones on the development of the region. The aim of the thesis was chosen with respect to the statement from literature, that industrial zones stimulate economic activity through making new jobs. In the first part of work are described teoretical fundamentals present by Czech and also foreign authors, who are focused on industrial zones problematics, characteristics of industrial zones in the Czech Republic and localization. In the second part are two case studies of strategic industrial zones Most-Joseph and Ostrava-Mošnov. The component of case studies is analysis of statistics for the period from 2000 to 2012, which results from observation of casual relations between development of zones and their surrounding areas lead to identification of economic and social impacts of strategic industrial zone on the development of the region.
Benefits of location services for retail
Prostredný, Ján ; Kubálková, Markéta (advisor) ; Kubálek, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse usage of available technologies of localization in particular retail units and their benefits for both customers and retailers. This topic concerns especially accurate localization of customers in retail units, targeted marketing and providing basic information according to the location in particular retail unit. Monitoring and evaluating of customer's movement trajectory and length of time spent at the particular place in the retail unit.
The methodology of localization of web applications
Miřacký, Jan ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Koliš, Karel (referee)
The paper addresses localization of web applications with extra focus on its principles. The goal of the paper was to design a localization methodology that might be used by startups as a handbook during development of their service that aims at customers abroad. The first partial goal was design of a questionnaire used to find out important aspects of localization from user's perspective. The second partial goal was to provide recommendations for Webgarden regarding enhancing cultural customization. The third partial goal was comparison of localization among Webgarden's competitors that represents a platform for generating websites. The main goal as well as all partial goals have been achieved. The phases of internationalization and localization were discussed in detail, therefore readers can get a good command of what needs to be done. The paper nonetheless doesn't go into much detail in technical matters. The Hofstede's cultural model has been introduced and has been used with cultural customization for different cultures. I used the methodology as well as the research results to suggest recommendations for the improvement of Webgarden's localization. It's been evaluated positive by native speakers and as such the methodology has been validated. My contribution was the design of the methodology and to provide Czech-based startups that are considering expanding to foreign markets with important information and guidance; another contribution were new recommendation for Webgarden.
Návrh a implementace řídicího software mobilního robotu
Ostřížek, František
The main aim of this diploma thesis is the design and implementation of the control unit of the autonomous wheeled robot. The designed control software consists of several layers and various modules which deals with the problem of localization in the known map of the environment and path planning. Problem of localization is solved using mathematical model of movements of the robot and the GPS sensor. The problem of the roads detection is solved using image analysis. The designed solution is able to ensure autonomous movements of the robot along the roads of selected city parks.
The neuropsychological correlates of emotions
TESAŘ, Michael
The presented thesis deals with localization of emotions and its processing according to visual emotional stimuli from IAPS. It uses EEG analysis and non-parametric statistics Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA, Wilcoxon's t-test. Results confirm hemispherical asymmetry theories and it was found a new localization of the neutral emotion in the left frontal alpha EEG asymmetry, which is not clearly described by other authors. Processing of emotions shows that complex affective reaction of positive and negative emotions is not significantly resolved; reversely the biggest resolving is the first processing time exposition automatic affective reaction. Acquisitions of the thesis are providing crucial theoretical knowledge for further EEG and emotion research, describing localization of the neutral emotions in the frontal cortex and processing of emotions in affective reaction to visual stimulation.
