This work also contains described and evaluated outputs as proposal of solution for more effective enterprise information system usage in this successful branch of the Swedish company Gnotec located in Čadca. Bachelor thesis values current situation of information system and sets conditions for optimised solution selection.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the extension of the information system on the planning of delivery lines in a particular company. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical starting point of the work, which is necessary to understand the problems in this thesis. The second part describes the current state of the company. In addition, the analysis needed to design a solution was carried out. This is at the end of the work and there are elaborated recommendations and a proposal for a solution for the planning of delivery lines for saving time and minimizing company costs.

This bachelor thesis is dealing with the evaluation of the informational system of the company Flatio s.r.o. and suggests changes for improvement of its current situation.The practical part of this thesis presents an analysis of the current situation of this company and an analysis of the company informational system Money S4, based on theoretical knowledge. With the results of the analysis, a suggested solution is presented to eliminate found deficiencies and also to increase efficiency of using informational systems to help achieve strategic goals of the company.

My bachelor’s thesis deals with the assessment of information systems of chosen manufacturing company and its partial processes. It also includes closer overview of actual ICT condition in the company according to selected analysis. Its results are then used for particular solution suggestions that aim to improve parts of informational systems all together with its processes hence achieving higher effectiveness.

Comparison of functionality of the standard BI platform and BI module integrated in the ERP system

This master’s thesis deals with comparison of the standard Business Intelligence platform specifically IBM Cognos BI and BI module integrated in the ERP system QI. In the first part it defines basic concepts of this topic and describes the life cycle of business information systems with emphasis on Business Intelligence. In the next part current situation on the market of these platforms and BI tools which create management information systems is described. Both types of BI solutions are compared with concentration on standard functionality usage. It also describes their ability to analyze through using data warehouse technology, integration with third-party products and business and economic aspects.

A thesis deals with the assessment of the information system in an engineering company, the assessment of its efficiency and the proposal of the ICT modification to improve this system. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the proposal of the information system changes in the company and the elimination of the risks related to these changes. An analytical part also deals with the company analysis, the analysis of the company processes and the analysis of the current information system. .
