The usage of addictive substances among first year students in secondary schools in Zdar nad Sazavou

Starting points of work Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of substance abuse among first-year students of secondary schools in Zdar nad Sazavou. It focuses on students' experiences related to the use of legal and ilegal drugs. The formulation of objective, research questions The aim of the research was to explore the experience of legal and ilegal drugs among students of all secondary schools in Zdar nad Sazavou, to get reliable information that can support strategic planning of the city, to place an overview of the prevalence, frequency and types of drugs used to map out from whom and at what age students met with drug abuse. Description of the methods used The quantitative data collection method using a questionnaire was used for students of all secondary schools, one class from each school was chosen by lotery. A non-standard questionnaire containing 27 questions was used, which was divided into several categories (usage of tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, other ilegal drugs and information about the social context were used). The questions in the questionnaire were inspired by ESPAD questionnaire. The main results Smoking tobacco were introduced to 64 % of respondents. Consumption rooms for drug users - Needs analysis

Consumption rooms for drug users are implemented as a tool of tertiary prevention by a number of European countries. These services are based on harm reduction philosophy. The objectives of these programs include minimizing health risks, overdose prevention, motivating users to change their lifestyle. Consumption room has also effect in reduction of negative effects associated with open drug scenes such as the drug consumption in public places. The thesis is about a need analysis of a theoretical application of a consumption room in the capital city Prague. After a theoretical introduction, which introduces the background of the project, the project objectives and examples of foreign practice presented in a literature, are presented the results of qualitative research. The aim of the research, conducted by the technique of semi-structured interview, is to answer the basic questions of needs and expectations of potential users, experts in the treatment and prevention of addiction and other persons who may be considered as involved from the perspective of discussion about consumption. Public opinion towards drug compsumption rooms among Prague's inhabitans

The thesis deals with the issue of establishment of the supervised injecting center for the drug users in the Czech Republic. Target of thesis is monitor public opinion on drug consumption rooms among inhabitants of the capital city Prague. The theoretical part deals with the explanation of terms related to tertiary prevention of addictive behavior, especially the priciples of the Public Health and the Harm Reduction. The theoretical part also includes information about practice of existing grug consumption rooms in the Word and Czech Republic possibilities to the establishment of the supervised injecting center. The research probe detects with questionnaire method the opinion on the drug consumption rooms in the sample of Prague residents. The investigation was partially complemented by an analysis of online discussions of Internet information articles from the year 2013 of the subjekt the establishment of drug consumption room in Prague. The results show that more than half of survey respondents agree with the introduction of drug consumption room in the capital city Prague. Addictive behavior on the Internet in connection with the experience with drugs among children of elementary schools in the Liberec Region

Based on actual problems extensive use of the Internet and the increasing number of younger children using addictive substances I chose the topic Addictive behavior on the Internet in connection with the experience with drugs among children of elementary schools in the Liberec Region. The main goal of the study is: determine the prevalence of addictive behavior on the Internet, determine the context of demographic data and determine the context of drug use. Finally describe risk factors affecting the addictive behavior. The basis for the work was the scientific literature and studies of this topic. The theoretical part describes the developmental phase of adolescence in relation to substance use and dependency behavior on the Internet, the most common Internet activities and addictive substances in children and the characteristics of addictive behavior on the Internet (including some previously conducted prevalence studies). At the end we present some results of studies that confirm the increased incidence of drug use in addicted individuals on the Internet. Substance use among people with hearing disability: exploration and cerrelation probe

Although there are about 500 000 of people with hearing impairment in Czech republic, a risk group of substance abuse due to determinants of this impairment, there are distinctive lack of studies focused on this theme in our state. There are few foreign studies offering some results, overall interest is still slender in this issue. This work was aimed to define the basic terms and briefly describe difficulties of hearing impairment, psychological aspects and patterns of drug use in hearing impaired population due to available resources and exploration and correlation questionnaire study. The study had a questionnaire form and was spread by snow ball method in first stage, through 8 basic subjects on social network called facebook.com and other forms of mass communication. In the second stage we used a purposeful selection at two schools for the hearing impaired in Prague. Participants were indviduals with more than 20 dB hearing loss (includes) in both cases. The participation was no age or locally restricted. Phenomenon of Men's Therapy Group in Therapeutic Community

The major aim of this thesis is to focus on the part of a program of therapeutic communities for drug abusers called "the men's groups." The thesis is bringing the facts and the views at the present position of men in society, developmental problems of men and male themes. It describes the gender issue in the field of mental disorders and drug abuse. It informs about the origin and experiences in running of the men's groups in the world as well as in the Czech Republic especially the League of Outspoken Men and Therapeutic Community Podcestný Mlýn. The constituent of this thesis is the search with an aim to map the presence and the approach of men's groups in the programs of therapeutic communities united in the Section of therapeutic communities of Association of Non-Governmental Organizations.

The context of first use of illegal drug

This bachelor thesis deals with the context of using illegal drugs, especially during pubescence, adolescence and early adulthood, and focuses on the circumstances of first use of particular illegal drugs. The theoretical part defines an issue of gaining experiences with drugs and its overuse in context of socially pathological phenomenon and in context of psychopathology, mentions various personal and external motivation factors leading to the decision to use a psychoactive substance. In this part, there are described psychoactive effects of frequently abused drugs as well as risk impacts of usage drugs on consumer. This thesis also provides peripheral outline of the present situation in the matter of using drugs in Czech Republic. It also contains reflections about prevention possibilities. The empirical part includes a qualitative research, concerned to a wider context of first experiences with various illegal drugs, to description of these events and their consequences. The research questions are also stated in this part. The essential method, used in this research, is a semi-structured interview, realized with three respondents. The results of research are specified in particular case studies, containing some sequences of the interviews. The answers to research questions come after.
