Demonstration set for basic keying techniques
Žlebek, Lukáš ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
This thesis concerns itself with construction of a set of laboratory products, used for demonstrating the basic methods of digital modulation. The primary product, is a generator of carrier and keying signals, which generates cyclically repeated data, and a carrier signal. Another two products are ASK and BPSK modulators. The theoretical part of this thesis describes a basic summary of different kinds of modulation and the design of all the product prototypes themselves. The practical part proves the functionality of individual components of the generator and the functionality of the modulators. In the last part of this thesis, there is a proposal of the laboratory task and its sample solution.

Audio ADC and DAC for laboratory measurements
Raszka, Dan ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This paper describes the design of a laboratory equipment to demonstrate the influence of the sampling frequency and quantization errors on converter. Part of this work is to select appropriate ADC and DAC along with control microprocessor. The proposal contains other functional blocks such as analog input and output filters, LCD display and controls. It deals also with the design of software solutions to control and signal processing.
Laboratory kit for experimental work with CoolRunner devices
Gajdošík, Petr ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Kolouch, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the programming of the CPLD device from the CoolRunner.II family, made by Xilinx company, through the use of USB bus. This bus and its application is an integral part of many devices nowadays. These programmable devices are used very often, mainly because of their speed and flexibility. They can be used in many different applications. The main task is to design a laboratory kit containing input switches, outputs of signaling LED diods and a 7segments display. Next possibility is to connect it with a chance plug in many external inputs and outputs. The thesis contains some examples of programs in the VHDL language.
Audio D/A converter used for laboratory measurements
Abrman, Milan ; Stifter,, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is design stereo digital to analog convertor for school laboratory usage. Scope of the thesis covers the design of all the functional units: input signal circuit, S/PDIF receiver, D/A converter, high quality analog output stage with active low pass filter. Thesis also cover design of all control and indicating parts containing microcontroller with control parts, alphanumeric OLED display and setting indicators.
Laboratory kit for design work with Altera CPLD devices
Gajdošík, Petr ; obrany, Petr Bojda, Univerzita (referee) ; Kolouch, Jaromír (advisor)
In this thesis I aim at a design of the laboratory kit and study ways how to programme CPLD devices made by Altera company. The product is used for development and demonstration of applications in CPLD devices made by Altera company. The kit is designed for Altera programming cables and Presto (made by ASIX). Input signals are implemented by a set of switches and buttons on the board. Output states are displayed by LED diods, possibly connected to multiplex the display. The user can connect to external devices via external inputs. Thesis is also aimed at the design PCB of the laboratory kit, subsequent production, recovery and verification of compatibility ALTERA and PRESTO programmers. End of the thesis aims on working with the Quartus II design environment. In particular, it is a guide to working with templates and simulation of VHDL designs.
Gas flow measurement
Slováček, Antonín ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis brings a description and realization of new measuring devices which are designed to support student´s laboratory practice of air flow measurement techniques. The new devices and laboratory exercises help students get experience of several methods of measuring which they get to know during mandatory Bachelor's and Master's study programmes. The paper also includes a theoretical background, the knowledge of which is necessary for mastering the issue. Moreover, the paper comprises a literary search of sensors and a market research. The second part of the thesis presents possibilities of the laboratory workplace, and the results of the measurements of the new laboratory devices used for sample laboratory exercises.
Laboratory equipment for speed measurement
Zikmund, Jiří ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with speed measuring and speed measurement sensors. It’s designed equipment for the demonstration of the sensors principle. In the next part it’s designed the assignment for BMFV lesson, it’s made the measuring on this equipment and the exemplary protocol is elaborate.
Laboratory device focused on the switched capacitor circuits
Urban, Lukáš ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
This Master`s thesis is focused on through acquaintance of principles of the function circuits with switched capaticors and posibility of their application mainly in frequency filters or signal generators. The origin of the switched capacitor circuits is mentioned at the beginning of the work. There are references to the first scientific work and scientists who have dealt with this issue. Maxwell`s idea: lossy element (resistor) replace with lossless element (switched capacitor) in electric circuit, is further described. In the next chapter of this work are listed types of switching capacitors and their use in simple RC filters and in structures of inverted or noninverted integrators and their application in more complex higher order filters. The advantages and disadvantages of SC circuits versus circuit composed of discrete components are shown. It is also listed a simple low-pass switched RC filter implemented with analogue multiplexer 4053. Using the LTC1043 integrated circuit, which structure and properties are described and analyzed in detail in the work, the 1st order aktive or pasive low and high pass filters were designed and subsequently simulated in the computer simulator OrCAD PSpice v.10. Another chapter deals with the integrated circuits higher order filters, structure and properties of the integrated filter LTC1060 are further analyzed here. Except this IC there are mentioned integrated filters commercially less available from the corporations Linear Technology and Maxim. The main objective of thesis was to propose and establish laboratory device and laboratory measurment focused on the switched capacitor circuits. The laboratory device has been designed with integrated circuits LTC1043 and LTC1060, which is demonstrated by using passive and active integrator, 2nd order band-pass and 4th order band-pass with Chebyshevovou approximation.
