Teaching Program on the Topic of the Respiratory System for Elementary Schools Using Activation Methods

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the respiratory system and its inclusion in the teaching of natural sciences. The topic of the respiratory system can be quite abstract for pupils in terms of gas exchange or overall anatomy of the respiratory system. In the context of today's time of global pandemic, is important topical topic. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the analysis of the problems of the respiratory system, the analysis and content of this topic in the FEP for basic education. Within the theoretical part, classical and activating teaching methods were also analyzed, which were crucial for the subsequent creation of the educational program. The aim of the practical part of the thesis was to create and verify the proposed educational program on the topic of the respiratory system at primary school. This research was carried out in the 8th grade of elementary school and the phenomenon examined was their conceptual understanding, which was verified on the basis of mind maps before, after and with a time interval after the teaching program. Zařazení prvků juda do tělesné výchovy na 1. stupni ZŠ Michaela Duchanová ABSTRACT The diploma thesis focuses on the inclusion of judo elements in physical education at the 1st grade of elementary school. The goal of this work is to design and verify in practice a teaching program that would correspond to the skills and abilities of first grade students. It is a comprehensive program of movement skills in the field of preparatory exercises and basic techniques, which is intended for beginners in the field of judo. The created program is verified with the help of pedagogical research in several groups of 1st grade pupils of different ages. The proposed program is functional and attractive for students. The knowledge gained can serve as a guide or motivation for how and why to work with judo as part of physical education at the 1st grade of primary schools. Experiential learning on the topic of water as an indispensable part of life

The bachelor thesis is focused on the environmental education program in preschool education. In the field of environment, it focuses on water issues. The goal is to raise awareness of the importance of water on our planet and for our daily lives. The theoretical part describes the origin of water, its properties, use and water cycle. It also discusses environmental education in preschool education. The practical part contains a one-week project, which was tested and implemented in the class of preschool children. An integral part is the record of the project, photo documentation, worksheets and evaluation of each day of the weekly program.
Freshwater world - educational program for environmental education in preschool education

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is an environmental program about a freshwater world. The goal is to establish and support a positive relationship towards surrounding nature and environment in preschool children. Also the goal is to create activities, that connect several areas of an early childhood education curriculum, through the topic of the freshwater world. Each theme will present a detailed methodical description and possible other related materials. The theoretical part introduces the freshwater world in general, animals and plants living in it. It also presents the evolution of an amphibian (a frog) and focuses on the water circulation system in the nature. The practical part introduces a one week project, that can be used as a methodical material for teachers, not only in the early childhood education facilities. The bachelor's thesis presents a draft of an environmental teaching program for kindergartens. This program has been tested with preschool children and was rated positively by respondents. The evaluation of tested activities also is a part of this thesis.
Educational programme presenting activities related to pond management for pupils at lower-secondary level

Educational programme that presents activities related to pond agriculture to pupils from upper elementary schools. The main aim of the diploma thesis was to create an educational programme, that could introduce the basics of pond management to the pupils from upper elementary school. The programme was subsequently verified by pupils in real life. The programme was based on two analyses. The first study includes the topic of fish and pond management from textbooks for elementary schools. Second analysis is focused on the ŠVP and from that a selected group of elementary schools in the Czech Republic. The educational program is based on an excursion in pond management. After the excursion the pupils had to fill out a worksheet including a task with elements of research in the form of brainstorming, and they also had to create a mind map. The entire educational programme was verified by the pupils from the seventh grade of elementary school in Žďár nad Sázavou, mid- March. In the pond farm, the execution was led by a local fisherman. The pupils saw a live carp, zander, poke and even saw the hatcheries. The fisherman also explained the yearly works at the farm pounds. Pupils filed out the worksheet without any problems and they even had a variety of aids at their disposal. During the brainstorming activity I gained an overview of what the children imagine behind the term fish and pound management. Based on the concepts that were obtained thanks to the brainstorming activity the pupils created their own mind maps. In a task with elements of research teaching, the pupils found out how the gas bladder of fish works. The educational programme in practice is functional and usable in the Žďár region. After a few modifications it can be also used in other regions of the republic.
Teaching First Aid and English Using CLIL Method at Lower Secondary Level

The diploma thesis deals with teaching first aid and English (CLIL method). The main purpose was to design five CLIL teaching materials for fist aid learning. The first part of the thesis focuses on CLIL method and its principles, first aid and its incorporation to the Framework Educational Program. The second part deals with creation of the teaching materials. Their verification took place at lower secondary level in the ninth grade during three lessons. It was found out that CLIL method did not influence the pupils' knowledge in a negative way, because they reached similar results as pupils who were aught in their mother tongue.
The educational projects of natural science with an element of project teaching for the 2nd grade of elementary school

This diploma thesis submits four educational programs for primary school pupils called "Ants"; "We are Flying to Africa"; "The Fellowship of The Forest" and "Waterworld". Including these programs, you will also find a set of teaching aids and activities for the 2nd year of primary school, which are designed for teachers and children. The projects were created on the basis of an analysis of several selected topics - Water in The Landscape, Life on Another Continent, The Fellowship of The Forest, The World and The Life of Small Animals (ants). The created material contains information and aids to individual programs. The programs help students to get closer to the characteristics of the given topics and to pass on unusual interesting things. It is based on a literary analysis of The Framework Educational Program, School Educational Program or other information sources. They create a number of several activities and task with additional school reports after completion of the projects. The worksheets which were used for pre-test, post-test no. 1 and post-test no. 2. The activities were partially practically verified with a selected group of 2nd year students at the Primary school in Tábor-Čekanice. Given the pandemic situation only two educational programs were into practice i.e. "Ants" and "We are Flying to Africa." These projects have had quite big influence on the children from the point of view of information cognitive knowledge. Students evaluated the programs as very entertaining according to questionnaires.
Possibilities of implementation of the pollination as the pedagogical content of the elementary schools

The diploma thesis focuses on pollinators as a subject of science education and especially the possibility of implementation in teaching at primary school. The research part deals with pollination, the importance of pollinators, anchoring the topic in the Framework Educational Program, and especially the analysis of several textbooks of science for primary schools in terms of the topic of pollinators. To obtain the necessary data in the practical part, didactic tests and an educational project for the pupils of 4th and 6th grade at primary schools were created. Based on the acquired findings, a conclusion was drawn regarding the possible inclusion of the topic in teaching at primary school.
Cultivation and using of herbs at primary school

This diploma thesis is focussed on the cultivation and subsequent use of herbs (medical plants) in teaching at the 1st grade of primary school. The literary part contains information about cultivation and collection of herbs, an overview of selected species and the effects of these medical plants. Part of the diploma thesis is the creation of an educational program for pupils of a selected class on the topic of cultivation and using herbs. The work also deals with a survey at selected primary schools where the current level of cultivation was monitored and the use of herbs in primary schools. The results of the questionnaire are used to create a picture of whether teachers use school gardens or school interiors to grow medical plants or herbs.
