The aim of the thesis is to map how family theme are understood within the framework of civics and to prepare activities for the teaching process focused on family. The introductory section is about a family on a theoretical level, describes the functions and types of family, marriage, outlines the development of a family in Western Europe and indicates characteristics of a current family such as growing divorce rate and alternative forms of cohabitation. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on the analysis of family theme in the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education and in selected textbooks of civics for elementary schools. The final section of the thesis presents a set of own activities related to a family theme.
Cross-curricular relationships physics - biology in physics teaching in basic schools

My bachelor's thesis deals with the interdisciplinary relationship between physics and biology and It's teaching at the second stage of primary school. In the introduction I focus on the trend of intergrated teaching and interdisciplinary relationships in general. In my bachelor's thesis we can find individual physical phenomena from biology textbooks. In the chapter called "Analysis of selected physical phenomena in biology textbooks" I will focus on sound and light. At the end of the bachelor's thesis I also mentioned some suggestions for practical teaching in schools.
Methods to early reading and writing at elementary schools in Brno

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of teaching reading and writing in the 1st year of elementary school at schools in the Brno region. The main goal is to find out which methods for teaching initial reading and writing are most used by teachers at primary schools in Brno and to further map which textbooks teachers in this region use for teaching. The theoretical part of the thesis outlines the history and present of teaching methods of elementary reading and writing, as well as an overview of current textbooks of elementary reading and writing from selected publishers. The research part finds out in the form of a questionnaire survey the use of individual methods in primary schools and further maps the frequency of textbooks used.
Analýza učebnic matematiky pro střední školy zabývající se vybranými funkcemi

The aim of this thesis is to compare selected mathematics textbooks that deal with fundamental functions at secondary school level. Textbooks will be examined on the base of Framework Education Programme for Grammar school, whether they fulfil requirements for teaching a given area of mathematics. Analysis of range of each textbook will be realized by the Indicator of curriculum uniformity. By measuring the didactic equipment of textbooks, the textbooks will be analysed and evaluated quantitatively. The benefits of such work will be evaluation of textbooks construction pointing to their quality.
Differences in the conception of some topics in history teaching before and after 1989

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to acquaint readers with the issue of teaching history at primary schools in Czechoslovakia before the Velvet Revolution in 1989 with regard to the context of the time. A comparison of selected topics in pre-revolutionary and post-revolutionary textbooks follows. The research design is qualitative, using the statements of respondents who were primary school students before 1989 and those who attended primary school after 1989. For analysis, research questions were compiled, dealing with the differences of teaching history at primary schools in two examined periods. The answers to the research questions were elaborated and analyzed on the basis of the opinions and answers of selected persons.
Learning German After English in the Field of Syntax

The diploma thesis deals with the teaching of German as a foreign language after English in the field of sentence structure. The theoretical part is based on the basic literature and it is focused on the presentation of the basics of German and English syntax, considering the differences in both languages. The empirical part covers an analysis of German language textbooks at the A1 level, which focuses on the presentation of syntactic phenomena in which students often make mistakes due to the differences between these two languages. Subsequently, based on the research, the basic syntactic errors are determined and possible solutions and exercises for working with these syntactic phenomena are proposed. The aim of the thesis is to carry out the analysis of textbooks, own research and suggest solutions in teaching German as a foreign language after English in the field of syntax.
How does the taught zoological system affect achieved knowledge of zoology

This diploma thesis deals with the current system of vertebrates and its use during teaching in the seventh grade of primary schools. The aim of this work is to design two types of teaching materials for teachers, one on the basis of the simplified system of vertebrates (following the results of the bachelor's thesis), the other on the basis of common used system according to textbooks. As a part of determining the results in individual classes, a didactic test was constructed. The compilation of the current form of the zoological system of vertebrates and also the analysis of the selected biology textbooks for primary schools and the lower grades of grammar schools are included in the literary review of the thesis.
Sametová revoluce v dnešním kurikulu základní školy

The subject of this thesis was the Velvet Revolution in the contemporary Czech primary school curriculum. I dealt with the analysis of textbooks of history and civics and their subsequent comparison in regard to their approach to the topic of the Velvet Revolution. In the theoretical part, I focused on the objective analysis of the Velvet Revolution and events that preceded the revolution as well as those that accompanied the emergence of a new democratic Czechoslovakia. Nor did I neglect to include the notable personalities of this period and oppositional activities connected with the Velvet Revolution. In the practical part I proceeded to carry out an analysis of textbooks. For each subject I chose textbooks from three publishers. First, I did a comprehensive analysis of the textbooks and then dealt with the Velvet Revolution. In history classes, students only study this subject in the 9th grade. Therefore, I exclusively analyzed these textbooks. History textbooks accord the topic a different number of pages as well as an unequal number of accompanying images. Also, information varies about the key figures associated with the Velvet Revolution. Civics textbooks do not contain a separate chapter dealing with this topic. I had to look at the textbooks for the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth grade, and search for the information associated with the period. The information presented to students varies from grade to grade and by publisher. Finally, I carried out a comparison of the textbooks of civics and history.
Teaching Angiosperms at Selected Primary Schools - Comparison of Ecological and Systematic Approach

This diploma thesis entitled Teaching angiosperms at selected primary schools - comparison of ecological and systematic approach contains in the theoretical part a brief description of angiosperms and the most frequently mentioned families in textbooks for primary schools for better orientation. Furthermore, the work deals with two ways of teaching biology at primary schools - ecological and systematic approach, and the characteristics of teaching methods and organizational forms usable in the teaching of angiosperms. The thesis also includes an analysis of the topic in the new RVP for basic education, which reveals the deletion of two expected outcomes in the thematic area of plant biology compared to the older version of the RVP from 2017 and a comparison of two selected school educational programs. Part of the text is also an analysis of selected textbooks for primary schools with the topic of angiosperms, including comparison of the number of families and measuring the didactic equipment with a focus on the presentation of the curriculum. Modern textbooks of art education for pupils of the 2nd grade of elementary school

The diploma thesis deals with the art education schoolbook and the main goal is the design of a modern textbook for the 2nd grade of primary schools. The theoretical part, considering the historical development of art education, analyses the consequences of the current teaching style and the role and importance of the textbook for art education. I focus on the content of textbooks from the perspective of professional research and literature. I describe the conditions for textbook approval by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the content of the endorsed currently used textbooks. Regarding the current trends for teaching materials, I present the demands of foreign competitions dealing with educational and teaching materials. I describe an award-winning, electronic, foreign art education textbook and introduce the most prominent native publishers of interactive textbooks. I briefly summarize the question of the preference to printed or electronic form of teaching materials. The empirical part gathers information about the form and content of teaching materials that teachers actually work with.
