The Cogeneration Units for Family House - Evaluation and Simulation
Martynek, Václav ; Baxant, Petr (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with cogeneration units of low power that are used for heating of buildings and to cover the heat demand of small industrial enterprises. The introductory chapters are focusing on clarifying the principles of combined heat and power (CHP) as well as on the basic advantages and important indicators of CHP. The thesis presents a brief overview of cogeneration devices by type of primary units and also provides an overview of cogeneration units suitable for family houses that are currently available on the market. The text describes how to install and connect the cogeneration unit. The fourth chapter includes description of elemental thermal processes and possibility of heat transfer. The fifth chapter describes the thermal circuit model and calculation efficiency of a cogeneration unit. Thermal circuit consists of a cogeneration unit and a multivalent tank for hot water heating system and potable hot water system. The object of master’s thesis is to create a model of thermal circuit cogeneration units in a simulation program and a graphical user interface, that will allow a simple way to evaluate the operation of the cogeneration unit when changing the input parameters.
Energy supply for greenhouse production
Najbrtová, Zuzana ; Poláčik, Ján (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The import of the vegetable has prevailed in the long run over the own production. In connection with this reality and increasing demand for the food with higher quality the production greenhouse is more often built. The providing heat, cold and electricity for the year-round operation is related to the construction and working of these objects. The theoretical part of this theses describes possible ways how to cover energy consumption for the model greenhouse in Kožichovice, Třebíč region. The heat losses and the year-round heat consumption were stated for the selected model and compared with the exact values from Kožichovice. The following method of energy supply was selected based on the calculated energy consumption - the separate cogeneration unit, cooperation of several cogeneration units, a biogas station, a heat pump and central heating system. These methods of energy supply were subjected to technical and economical comparison.
Problems with sulphur and silicon in biogas
Holub, Radim ; Jecha, David (referee) ; Beňo, Zdeněk (advisor)
The main objective of this bachelor’s thesis is a description of a composition of biogas (BG) and contained undesirable components, which include especially sulphur and silicon compounds. In an introductory chapter is given a definition of the biogas, principle of its creation, chemical composition and a share of undesirable components. In following chapters are described single undesirable components, their properties and negative impact on parts of equipment using biogas. The following are the methods to reduce the critical concentration values of these components or their complete removal from biogas. In the thesis are also given practical solutions to eliminate these undesirable components.
Combined heat and power pack with two gas V-sixteen engines
Švancara, Jan ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Thesis deals with the calculation of the crankshaft of the cogeneration unit. It deals with the calculation of equity and forced vibration of the crankshaft. Attention is also paid to the influence of elastic couplings on the shape of its own vibration shaft.
Design the Transformer Station for the Outgoing Power of Cogeneration Unit
Pastorek, Jaroslav ; Procházka, Aleš (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a transformer station for the outgoing power of cogeneration unit with an electric capacity of up to 1 MW. The thesis describes the design procedure of individual devices such as a transformer with a nominal ratio 22/0,4 kV, high voltage switchgears and low voltage switchgears. With the proper selection of the transformer, along with the technical parameters, the economic benefits that come from its purchasing and operating costs with the transformer operation are also considered. Based on this, the economic comparison of selected types of oil transformers during 20 years is also developed. Another part of the thesis deals with HV and LV switchgears, which are dimensioned according to shortcircuit conditions in the transformer station. In conclusion this work deals with the grounding of a transformer station and design protection in accordance PPDS.
Optimization of Flat House Heating
Fodor, Ján ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the supply of heat in a particular block of flats in Brno. It deals with supply for heating and for hot water heating. The introduction gives information about the considerated building and also generally, but especially with regard to the current situation with consumption and heat supply. Subsequently, the thesis describes the individual possibilities of obtaining heat. There are mentioned classical heat sources as gas boilers, but also less commonly used as co-generating units or solar collectors. Furthermore, the work is calculating from the technical and economic point of view for heating options chosen by the investor. Finally, the work compares the options from viewpoint of benefits, budgets and returns of possible investments.
Comparison of Energy Circles from point of view Efficiency
Houdek, Milan ; Škvařil, Jan (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis investigates the combined production of power and heat from biomass. The main aim is to compare suggested energy circles in the light of their electric, general and economic efficiency. Introduction describes the basic terms and principles of energy utilization of biomass, combustion and gasification technology are described thoroughly. The main part contains suggestions and thermal calculations of energy circles. The thermal cycle with gasification chamber, combustion chamber and hot air turbine is proposed, than thermal cycle with gasification generator and cogeneration unit and finally Rankine-Clausius circle. In conclusion calculated results are recapitulated and the usability of proposed thermal cycles is assessed.
Technology solution for energy savings in industrial processes
Cyž, Antonín ; Miklas, Václav (referee) ; Konečná, Eva (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is a search of known technological solutions for energy saving in industrial processes. The first part contains a description of the methodology for the analysis of energy consumption in the company. The first part also solves some of the statutory obligations of an energetic area in companies. Then follows a description and possible use of individual technological devices. The theoretical part of the work evaluates and describes the possibilities to increase the energy efficiency of an industrial laundry. Finally, the economic – energy balance of a specific operation is analyzed, including the evaluation of the financial return on investment.
