Urban and architectonic study of cultural centre in Koprivnice, Czech Republic. Study is concerning the possible usage and transformation of actual buildings built in 1990´s. The aim of proposal is to use the existing, simplify the complicated, complete the existing. The design offers a transformation of actual culturaly-educational facility into a new centre appropriate to needs of present inhabitants. Community centre is cleared out from unrelated functions and gets a clear definition of a place where cultural, musical and theatrical events take place. After possible developement evaluation of Tatra factory (done in pre-diploma project) is the Tatra museum situated newly behind the city municipal office building. There it stimulates actualy arising brownfield. New proposed museum building contents a mediatheque. The mediatheque aims on community functions in the city presented by atrium as a meeting place.

ResPublica/Civitas Socialis - Vision Křídla

The goal of diploma thesis is urbanism and architecture study of village central part, reconstruction of municipal house and new house of fire department and community center in Kridla. The village itself is located six kilometres far away from Nove Mesto na Morave in Bohemian-Moravian highlands. The design is not trying to enter local structures inappropriately. The major affort is to combine different functions and activities with quality of public space and respect of countryside area. One of the goals is also to provoke discussion about vision for the next 30 years among inhabitants of Kridla.

Democratic Architecture – Kamenný vrch

The bachelor's thesis deals with the revitalization of the Brno Kamenný vrch area with architecture parasitizing on the open gables of prefabricated houses. The first part of the thesis contains analyzes of the territory and conclusions obtained from them. The theory is followed by the concept of the project, which is the design of a cultural house. Details are discussed in the urban and architectural design. The construction part clarifies the design by describing the construction and construction details.

Municipal house, Lhota

The aim of the diploma thesis is to develop the design documentation for the construction of the object of civic amenities. It is a multifunctional building, there are municipal office, library and cultural hall. It is detached building, which consists of two dilated parts, part A – Cultural hall and part B – Administration. Part A is single-storey with internal gallery accessible from the second floor of part B. Part B has a basement and three floors. Part A has external and internal reinforcing walls proposed as cast-in-place reinforced structure from fair-faced concrete. Part B is proposed as traditional masonry building made of brick blocks, the external walls in the basement are from concrete blocks of permanent formwork. The floor-structures will be made of hollow prestressed panels supplemented by reinforced cast-in-place structures. The roof structures are designed as warm flat green roofs. The facade of part A is proposed as ventilated, external wall finish is timber horizontal cladding. The facade of part B will be contact, external wall finish is made of brick facing tapes.

Revitalization and Renewal of the Town of Velké Němčice

The general topic of te diploma thesis is revitalization and renewal of the town of Velké Němčice. This work is focused on the historical center of Velké Němčice, especially on renewal of the objects of the culture house, cinema and the municipal office, the public areas and the connection to the rest of the area. The core of the work brings a detailed proposition of the reconstruction and reworking of the existing public objects with the adjacent public areas. Another part of the work covers a concept of utilization of adjacent site of the local parish. The point of the work is to create a compact cultural center with the emphasis on permeability and usability, using incorporation into the current urban structure and demarcation of the functional program. The object should become an important cultural point of multifunctional usage to not only hold public events, but also be a public space for the hobbies of the town. Additionally there is an emphasis on the creation of high quality entrence space with a direct connection to the adjacent surroundings, which will help their further development.

Architectural study of accessible / protected/ spaces

This architectural study offers a solution of the Gemini High School‘s new bulding, /Brno Lesná, the bulding site number 202/9, Vaculíkova street/, and shows a new building of a house of culture with a commercial area instead of today’s school /the bulding site number 253/. The new way of car parking and strenghtened areas of this street are included. The building and pulling down of today’s houses and buildings are devided into 2 phases. In the first phase a new barrier – free school building with a possibility of accommodation and flats is designed /building site number 202/9. This bulding has got two entrances. One from the northern part is for a school and the second one in the west is for the tenants. The school area is spread among the first and the third floor (classrooms, canteen, offfices). The fourh floor is used for students‘ accommodation and for a terrace entrance. There are some flats (2+1, 3+ small kitchen, max. area 120 m) from the fifth to the tenth floors. In the underground the are some tenants‘ cellars and technological rooms for school. The renewed car parking for all the tenants, school visitors and others is provided in Vaculíkova street. After the firt phase of building the new school project will go into the second part. In that time the old school will be pulled down and a new house of culture is designed in this place. There will be restaurant, commercial area, cinema, library – café and gym – fitness. On the first floor there are a restaurant, a library – café a cinema. On the second floor there are a gym – fitness and a commercial area. Car parking for the visitors is provided in the underground - 52 cars + 4 handicapped people. The green roof of this house is designed to be comfortable to watch it from the neighbourhood and do not damage the look of this new building. Processing of territorial study for selected locality

This diploma thesis focuses on issues related to spatial planning, specifically the territorial study. The territorial study is conducted in a selected locality which is the cadastral area of Dolni Mesto. Based on the analysis in the given area, it was proved that there is a lack of space for cultural events and the gathering of inhabitants, so the territorial study deals with the evaluation and finding of a suitable location for a community centre. The suggested locations are firstly thoroughly described and then compared to each other. Out of the suggestions, the most suitable location for a community centre is then selected. The thesis also includes a spatial study for this selected location. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical background, mainly to the problems of spatial planning, landscape planning and overall planning in rural areas. The result of the work is determining a suitable location for the construction of a community centre with respect to the existing architectural and urban structure and sustainable development.

Analysis of Use of House of Culture in Přibyslav

The bachelor's thesis is focused on use of houses of culture built in 1948-1989 in the 21st century. Their position in the cultural infrastructure is represented by the house of culture in Přibyslav. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the current operation of the house of culture in Přibyslav and to propose the appropriate changes for its future effective use. The theoretical part is focused on the building of the houses of culture after 1945, their functions and use related to the role of culture. Furthermore, it is focused on the situation of houses of culture after 1989 including actual statistical data. The practical part comprises the characteristic of Přibyslav, its cultural infrastructure and especially local house of culture. It includes the evaluation of its operation in terms of organisation, funding, propagation and program of events. Conclusion of the thesis contains a summary of the weaknesses according to the interviews with the representatives of the town and Kulturní zařízení města Přibyslav organisation.
