Security and Performance Testbed for Simulation of Proof-of-Stake Protocols
Holub, Juraj ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Homoliak, Ivan (advisor)
This work aims to analyze the security and performance of three Proof-of-Stake consensus protocols for blockchain (Harmony, Solana and Ouroboros). For this purpose, a simulation tool is created, which experiments with these protocols. The solution also includes a comparison of currently available blockchain simulators. The simulation results show that all three protocols can work efficiently even in large networks. In terms of security, the simulation points to a vulnerability in the form of a DoS attack. Based on the results, modifications to the protocols were proposed that minimize the mentioned security vulnerability. The created simulator is freely available and intended for potential further research of similar consensus protocols.
Copyright protection of electronic documents
Zachoval, Tadeáš ; Dzurenda, Petr (referee) ; Člupek, Vlastimil (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the copyright protection of electronic documents. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part describes the electronic document and various types of files that can be encountered while working on a computer and consider them as electronic documents. The fundamental part of the theoretical part is the analysis of various copyright protection methods for electronic documents. In the practical part was created a Python application based on mentioned analysis. The application implements selected methods of copyright protection.
Algorithmization for decision support
Magda, Michal ; Budík, Jan (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is a strategy creation for bitcoin towards dollar (BTC/USD) on the MetaTrader5 (MT5) platform by utilizing programming language MQL5. The basis of the analysis is to import data from crypto-exchange into the MT5 platform, to program a special strategy based on technical indicators and to backtest the performance efficiency on the historical growth of the bitcoin value. Created solution provides a trading robot with simple access to the crucial parameters modification. Primal finding is the ability to predict the future value of bitcoin, evaluation and comparsion between the revenue and risk.
Solution design of dual food quality problem through Blockchain technology
Kopec, Martin ; Luhan, Jan (referee) ; Novák, Lukáš (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to propose a system based on blockchain technology that is dealing with dual food quality problem in countries of the EU. The theore- tical part of the thesis explains basic principles of blockchain technology, provides an analysis of the dual food quality problem, EU market and the current blockchain implementations in food industry. The practical part focuses on the solution design of such a system itself.
Forensic Analysis of Cryptocurrency Mining Servers
Kelečéni, Jakub ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the mining of cryptocurrency with emphasis on analysis of communication between miner and server. It describes basic principles of cryptocurrencies, mining and employed communication protocols. The next part of thesis is about design and implement modification of existing system (catalogue). This modification will add temporality to the catalog, what increase reliability of stored metadata. Description, functionality and purpose of existing system is included in the next text.
User Interface of Decentralized National Elections
Malínek, Libor ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Stančíková, Ivana (advisor)
The thesis describes the development of a decentralized application and user interface for the voting protocol in the Rust language. The main subject of work was to create an application that is easy to control by the user and at the same time meets the security elements according to the voting protocol. The result of the work is a decentralized application that meets the requirements of the voting protocol and its user interface, which was modified according to user feedback. From a theoretical point of view, the work deals with decentralized applications and the principle of their operation. The thesis also describes the Rust language and its web frameworks.
Processing of the Blockchain Employing IPFS
Decentralized Biometric Autentication System
Jacko, Martin ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Januš, Filip (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and implement biometric authentication system, which allows for biometric data storage integrity violation detection. This thesis also includes theoretical section, where centralized and decentralized authentication systems, along with blockchain technology, are examined. The rest of the thesis is looking into implementation and testing methodology description, and evaluation of designed system. Finalized system uses blockchain to store cryptographic hash of data that is uploaded to database. During authentication phase, stored hash is used to verify integrity of biometric data storage.
Analysis of the use of advanced tools in the future form of the electricity market segment
Štefek, Martin ; Vajnar,, Vladimír (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis introduces distributed generation in context of future state of electricity markets. The subject of the thesis is to introduce new trends in electricity markets, such as flexibility, prosumers, aggregator and energy communities. Moreover, the thesis describes blockchain technology and its utilization in future state of electricity markets.
Security and Privacy Oriented-Survey of Financial Applications Utilizing Blockchain
Křížová, Hana ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Homoliak, Ivan (advisor)
