Suspension bridge across expressway R52
Glovina, Filip ; Štefan, Petr (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
This work deals with statics and dynamics analysis of stayed cable bridge and design of supporting structure according to limit states. The work contains of static calculation, drawing documentation and visualization.
Dynamic analysis of a slender bridge construction with respect to wind actions
Prokop, Filip ; Kala,, Jiří (referee) ; Salajka, Vlastislav (advisor)
This work is focused on the dynamic effects with regard to impact of wind on a slender bridge structure, namely a variant of an overhead footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists, over a river. Attention is focused on finding the so-called default steady state, as well as modal analysis, where owen frequencies are calculated, which is the basis for further dynamic assessment. The main part is focused on modeling in a fluid field of ANSYS CFX, where the effects of wind on the structure are defined and calculated. The goal of the work is to make a dynamic response to vortex excitation and, on the basis of analysis, to assess the fatigue design.
Analysis of railway motor-generator set
Mánek, Petr ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
This work is focused on using of modal analysis in power electrical engineering. The first part of the work explains the term of CAD systems and provides their basic classification. The next section of this thesis describes procedure for creating models in Autodesk Inventor 2012. There is shown creation sketching, 3D components, assemblies and possibility of presenting the models. Next part of this thesis describes the finite element method and the program ANSYS Workbench. In the next part of this thesis is shown sample of calculation of modal analysis in the program ANSYS Workbench. There is a description of modal analysis, synchronous machines, the process of calculating of modal analysis and evaluation of the results. The last section of this thesis describes creation of animation of the railway generator set in the program Inventor Studio.
Regenerative chatter in turning
David, Václav ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Fiala, Zdeněk (advisor)
Regenerative chatter in turning negatively affects the cutting process, the tool live and the machined surface. In this work is a vibration discriebed by using mathematical formulas or terms. There are listed some causes of creation vibration in turning and some basic methods of complete removal or partial reduction. The second part of this work contains examples of measure and analysis in connection with using of modern software.
Experimental analysis of a fixed beam dynamic behavior
Poduška, Jan ; Houfek, Lubomír (referee) ; Březina, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with analysis of dynamic behavior of a fixed beam. An analysis of the applied mathematical model is proposed in the work. The mathematical model is then realized in MATLAB programming environment. Modal frequencies and mode shapes are con- sequently computed and results are compared to those obtained from the experimental modal analysis.
Seismic analysis of structures with IRS reduction
Svrčina, Vít ; Nevařil, Aleš (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with comparison of the results of the computational models of the structures without use of and using the IRS reduction. The results obtained are compared with the simple whip models of the structures.
Experimentální modální analýza dřevěné desky
Mandinec, Josef
This thesis is focused on testing of a wooden plate with three methods of modal analysis: Chladni patterns method, multi-point measurement with microaccelerometers and optical scaning method using digital image correlation. Thesis is also focused on the procedure in the softwares, especially DEWESoft and DEWESoft FRF. The output of each method are pictures (and animation from the software DEWESoft FRF) of eigenmodes of a wooden plate at its own resonant frequencies. The methods were compared with each other and also with existing mathematical model
Modální analýza bubenické paličky metodou konečných prvků
Sochor, Petr
This thesis examines the issues associated with drumstick mechanical properties and possibilities of experimental methods and theoretical descriptions. Gradually, it focuses on the use of numerical methods to describe the behavior of musical instruments, especially percussion. The methodology explains the construction of a model drumstick and execution of modal analysis using a commercially available software ANSYS. The goal of the methodolgy is a comparison of natural frequencies and mode shapes for each alternative model. Design alternatives were also compared in terms of geometry, material composition and the impact on the natural frequencies and vibration shapes. The final step of this method was a creation of a modified drumstick model using composite materials.
