Approaches to document digitalization solutions.

The objective of this thesis is to provide a survey of document digitalization and to analyse the market of companies outsourcing the document digitalization. The first part of the thesis decribes the technology of scannig and the methods of document recognition and data minig. It also decribes the systems of barcodes used to identify documents. Furthermore, this thesis includes the principles of document saving and electronic (digital) signature issues from the viewpoint of Czech legislation. Its contribution lies in analysing the companies dealing with outsourcing of the document digitalization and in the view of a company using these services. A brief outlook to the future regarding this topic is included as well.

The Function of OCR Technology and its Usage in Document Processing

Owing to a boom of information technologies optical character recognition has recently become a popular and affordable technology, enabling an effective way of sharing a large amount of information stored in paper documents. This work deals with systems for document conversion of analog data into electronic and editable form. It outlines the main methodology of OCR technology, evaluates a performance of OCR applications and analyses the contribution of imaging technologies through the benchmark tests on the set of paper documents.
Electronic billing (business-economic analysis)

The work describes the legal and technical background of the electronic billing. The core of the work is in the cost-benefit analysis, with focus on the comparison of the fully electronic billing with manual billing and the modern billing composed of several incremental technologies.
