Evaluation of ecosystem stress in Váh basin
Grajciariková, Eva ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
The bachelor theoretical thesis was focused on the current issue of the environmental load of the ecosystem in the selected locality of Slovakia. The focus was put on the evaluation of the contamination level in the selected area of Váh’s river – basin in the Žilina region. The level of contamination was assessed on the basis of the relevant water quality indicators following the government regulation number 296/2005 C.l. The thesis describe the physical and chemical properties of the factors and their toxic effects on the environment.
Chemical and physical parameters of surface waters of streams in the Novohradsko area.
BERNASOVÁ, Tereza
The content of the bachelor thesis was the comparasion of chemical-physical parameters of surface waters in Novohradsko. The data, which were used in the thesis, were taken in 2014. Individual sampling points were differed in their management practices and types of ecosystem. The monitored parameters are associated with eutrophication: conductivity, pH, KNK4,5, nitrates and phosphates. Based on the results we can claim that the sampling points of agroecosystems reached higher values of the selected parameters. The biggest differences were detected in conductivity. The values of conductivity were oscitalled from 51,8 mS cm-1 to 164,4 mS cm-1.
Eutrophic stress of the Orlik reservoir
ZELENKOVÁ, Kamila
Detection of potential sources of load eutrophic surface waters. Orlik dam is out of your water and energy purposes also used for recreational purposes. In recent years, recorded deterioration of water quality. It happens that it appears "Flower" water surface and increase algae. The content of this work was to monitor the changing state of water quality in reservoirs Orlik and its surroundings during the season. Parameters were monitored: conductivity, pH, oxygen, nitrates, and phosphates and during the season of 2013.
Revitalization study for small agricultural-forest catchment
ČASTA, Jiří
Revitalization generally are activities leading to the recovery of ecosystems in the landscape and their stabilization. In this thesis are proposed changes for revitalization of small agro-forestry basin stream called Branná significantly disrupted trough conditions, the banks and a river basin, including throughput migration of aquatic animals.
Chemical parameters of surface waters in selected model ecosystems of the cultural landscape.
STRNADOVÁ, Johana
The aim of this study was to determine and compare the concentration of chemical parameters in five streams in Novohradské hory. Individual sampling points were different with their types of ecosystem, management practices, vegetation composition of growth and subsoil. Monitored parameters in forest ecosystems were: conductivity, pH, sulfate and calcium. In agrosystems observed parameters: electrical conductivity, pH, calcium, chloride and nitrate. The collected data generated graphs for the years 2005 - 2010. Based on the results we can say that natural mixed forest resists concentrations of sulphates and prevents the acidification of surface water. In contrast with spruce monoculture where surface water has the lowest pH because the sprice forest captures haigher quantitty of sulphates. Chemistry of water in agroecosystems corresponds to the flow through the landscape, which is used for economic activity. This was most evident in the stream, which in the upper sampling point flows through spruce monoculture and conductivity there was only 65 ?S.cm-1. On the contrary conductivity was substantially higher 175 ?S.cm -1 in the lower sampling point. Conductivity value of stream flowing through wet meadows, was 191 ?S. cm1. The measurement results confirmed that the water reaches the higher conductivity in the managed landscape.
A effect of drainage system on quality of surface water
KAMARÝT, Jiří
My bachelor thesis is focused on quality of surface water. My thesis is written by the form of framework literature search. And it inteferes with the fields of climatology, geology, topography and especially hydrology and water chemistry. The content of the literature search is getting acquainted with the reasons of building of underdrainage and its particular development in the Czech Republic. Furthermore there are contrivances described which cause the change of quality of water after building drainage system and quantification of holding of drainage systems in concentration of analytes of surface water. Water is important environmental component in nature and it is necessary to pay attention to its high quality. The soil contrivances, causing pollution of surface water, were considerably affected by building of drainage system in a large area of the Czech Republic in 1950?s. Those drainage systems were built due to intensive agriculture. But there were no thoughts about following conservation of countryside, particularly water and soil. There still have been consequences of insensitive interference with countryside even these days. My bachelor thesis can be used as a base for my thesis which is supposed to enrich it with my own measurement and further comparison.
The influence of agricultural activities on surface waters physico-chemical parameters in Novohradsko area
SLAVÍKOVÁ, Lucie
Agriculture is an activity that affects the landscape. The aim töf this work was to observe the quality of water in the Novohradsko area. These following water quality parameters were measured: pH, conductivity, nitrates, phosphates, sulphates, chlorides and alkalines cations. The parameters changes were analysed for the years 2005 - 2010. The values of conductivity on the upper profile Stropnice River exceed the value of 50 ?S.cm-1. The values of conductivity in the lower profile of the Stropnice River do not exceed 175 ?S.cm-1. The results confirmed that the farming has a significant influence on the water quality in the Stropnice River although it is an extensive farming.
Relationship between chemistry of surface water and geological environment in the forest catchment LIZ in the Šumava Mts
Škoda, S. ; Váchal, J. ; Dumbrovský, M. ; Tesař, Miroslav ; Váchalová, R.
More then 20 years the chemistry of surface water has been observed within GEOMON project in the Zdíkov region in the Šumava Mts. The knowledge of composition and chemistry of geological environment is very important for assessment of input and output of matter to/from this catchment. The geological underground has been make up of migmatitize biotitic and sillimanit-biotitic paragneises of Šumava Moldanubicum. Soils, represented by oligotrophic and oligomezotrophic cambisoils, are very acid, sorption unsaturated. Their silicate buffering system significantly contributes to decrease leaching of calcium, manganese, chlorine and total aluminum, and so to reduction of intensity weathering of rocks.
Analysis of the applicability of tradable permits in water management in Czech Republic
Ropický, Jan ; Vojáček, Ondřej (advisor) ; Slavíková, Lenka (referee)
Tradable permits are currently among the most frequently used market-based instruments of environmental protection. The aim of my work is this tool to explore and then implement the water management in the Czech Republic. I'm going to try to answer the fundamental question is whether a tool that can be in our legal environment to apply to the taking of surface water for industrial use? This method of solution is used, especially abroad, especially in the U.S. and Australia. I'm going to use the literature and resources in this particular part of the world. In my work I rely on both scientific literature and articles written on this subject and obtained from the primary sources of research systems in other countries. The analysis of the Czech environment, the focus on water authorities and companies to individual basins, which are according to our laws the central government in this matter.
Rainfall - runoff parameters selected basin Stropnice
FRAŇKOVÁ, Diana
Dissertation work rainfall-drainage parameters on chosen river-basin Stropnice is dealing with measurement of drainage value of surface water on five specific profiles in the area of Horní Stropnice. The goal was discovery and analysis of information on the river-basin Bedřichovský, Pasecký and Váckový stream, Humenická dam and in closure profile at Tomkův mill in the years 2007 {--} 2010, where there were monitoring heights of water level. After substitution into discharge-rating curve were scoring flow rate for individual parts of river-basins and examination of influence Humenická dam on flow rate wave in the closure profile. Between the upper specific profiles of individual streams above Humenická dam and specific profile by the Tomkův mill there was not found any influence of Humenická dam on flow wave in the river basin of Stropnice.
