Automatic publication of data and metadata for map and catalogue systems from raster sources in PostgreSQL

Automatic publication of data and metadata for map and catalogue systems from raster sources in PostgreSQL Abstract The main goal of the presented work is the design and implementation of the application for the automatic publication of the raster data and metadata from the PostgreSQL database to the map and catalog services. The application should exclusively utilize the open source software and technologies. The fundamental component of the developed application is the PostgreSQL database with the PostGIS and PostGIS raster extensions. The presented work evaluates the possibilities of the raster storage from different points of view -e.g. the suitability for the further data processing or the publication of the raster data. The most suitable structure for raster storage is then proposed with respect to analytical and publication usage of the stored data. The possibilities of the open source software for the solution and implementation of the presented problem are then inspected. The GeoNetwork and GeoServer are utilized as a metadata and map server solution. The results of the deployment of these technologies is then evaluated for the real world data and compared with other available related solutions. The presented work describes reasons for development of such system, technologies used to develop the application and function and user interface of system components. Following sections are focused on deployment, problems related to maintenance in production environment and experience gained from functioning of this application.

Information System for Catalogue Creation

This system presents universal catalogue system with option of various attributes setting for various companies. Optimalization for search engines and optimalization of database usage were the essential goals of this system and also multiple user security levels. HTML for displaying information in web-browsers, CSS for client part template-support of presentation, PHP scripting language using Smarty template system and MySQL database system has been used for system implementation.

Distributed Product Catalogue

The main taks of the project was to create a catalog, which will distribute the goods from the all registered e-shops in this system to the end users. The catalogue can take all necessary information about the goods from the XML file available on the Internet, which URL can users add during the registration and then display them in the hierarchically ordered categories. The catalogue will provide possibility to search and sort the goods according to various parameters. Business owners will be able to present statistics of the goods such as like view numbers, number of clicks, raitings and then export to the selected format. The catalogue will include administration which will be built on the modular basis and allow the management of the whole catalogue.

Distribution System for e-Shops

The aim of my thesis is to create a model of information system for internet stores support. Together with creating this model I will also analyse the possible use of new technologies such as AJAX or communication with the help of XML. The final work will consist of two applications, where first is a catalogue of products (goods) and the second is an internet store. The main application will provide services for this store.

On-Line Agriculture Technology Catalogue

The main goal of this project was to create an online agriculture technology catalogue. This catalogue allows managing machines in hierarchically organized categories. The categories allow grouping machines with similar parametres and purpose. Each machine stored in the catalogue can be assigned an arbitrary number of parameters with values. Another advantage of the catalogue is the possibility of placing selected machines on a parking place with the possibility of comparing their parameters. The system of administration has been designed at a modular principle.

Checking of Vehicle Identifiers

Diploma thesis is focused on identifiers of vehicles and their parts. The thesis gives an overview about available identifiers situated on the vecihles. Further more the thesis deal with potentional forgery and altering of identifiers and as a next shows potentional ways how to detect a manipulation with them. Practipal part of thesis includes a proposal of methodology for checking vehicles based on identifiers. There was also created a cathalogue of the Skoda vehicles. It gives an overview of identifiers for selected vehicles of the brand Skoda.

Epigraphical monuments of the central city of České Budějovice.

The thesis deals with epigraphical monuments of central city of České Budějovice up to 1900 and at the same time it tries to acquaint with the history of the city with the intention to medieval times and with its system of fortification. The thesis is divided to nine chapters. The history of medieval city of České Budějovice is described in the first chapter. The second chapter deals with city fortifications from its beginning to the present. The third chapter brings a summary of studies which deal with making accessible of the epigraphical monuments. The fourth chapter is about territory which determines the catalogue accessed area. Detailed catalogue principles which are used in the epigraphical catalogue, structure of particular catalogue records and classification of the epigraphical material are presented in next chapters of the thesis. The eighth chapter is the main part of this work. The catalogue brings 127 epigraphical inscriptions, both extant up to the present and also not extant which are situated in the determinate area. Last chapter contains indices which should make work with the catalogue easier. The conclusion summarizes the gained findings. List of sources and bibliography follow. The appendices conclude the thesis.
