The financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis focuses on the financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic. The basis is the research made by the author of the diploma thesis. The main objective is to analyze the real situation of the financial comprehension by Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic, and highlight their mistakes in the complex world of finance. This thesis also points out some problems and complications, which have resulted from lack information about financial products. It will also try to suggest a method of how to increase financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants. The diploma thesis is composed in three chapters. The first one gives some information about Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic. The second part presents the results from research, and the last chapter deals with a financial institution that wants to focus on Vietnamese clients in the Czech Republic.
The impact of discussion about necessity of pension reform upon creating additional sources in old age from the point of generations

The impact of discussions about the necessity of a pension reform on creation of further security resources for the old age from the generation point of view is the title of my bachelor essay which is in its theoretical part focused on basic features of the current pension system in the Czech Republic and describes factors based on which a reform of this system is proposed. With regard to the orientation of this essay, the individual alternative possibilities of creating financial reserve for the old age are described in more detail here. The main objective of the essay was not to carry out an economic analysis of the impact of the upcoming pension reform on the state budget or on the economic situation of the population but to find a change in the financial behaviour of the population, mainly change in the way of the individual creating of a financial reserve for the old age. The bachelor essay brings findings and to a certain extent also inspiration in the area of creation of a reserve of financial resources for the old age. Conclusions of the performed research show a positive impact of the ongoing discussions on the creation of a financial reserve, which when created at an economic active age is a way how to mitigate the fall in the living standard at the pension age.
Complex doing of family financial plan

Personal and family finances are important part of our life. People deal with the issues of money, its earning, spending and evaluating every day. Despite this fact, there is a huge financial illiteracy in the Czech Republic, which causes an inefficient management of our personal finances and also wrong decisions related to choices of financial products. The goal of this thesis is to describe products on Czech financial market in clear and comprehensible way, as well as principles of their functioning and rules for their usage. It tries to give simple manual how to proceed in decisions about own finances. In the first part of this thesis, there is a theoretical basis of this issue and a summary of the products. In the practical part, there are three concrete financial plans for three concrete families. Finally, there is a generalization of the suggested procedure.
Optimization of the financial product portfolio for Czech households

The products will be divided into four major categories - for payment contact, deposit, investment and credit. Each group will then be analyzed in terms of its suitability for each household.

The aim of this thesis is to describe particular financial products and compare them from the evaluation point of view. We also will review these products from the perspective of clients who differ in investment and saving attitude. We will focus on czech households and describe their habits in area of financial products and examine their behaviour during a time period in relation to phases of economic cycles and other exogenous variables. We also will describe functioning of financial system and focus on information asymmetry between houselholds and financial institutions. Further we will look at examples of moral hazard done by financial institutions. The conclusion of this thesis provides recommendations of suitable products for each client.

The structure of tjs bachelor work is divided in 3 separate parts. I am describing particular financial needs of a general household in the first chapter. The second chapter contains details of developing sufficient financial sources and reserves for retirement by way of financial products, which include supplementary insurance and pension funds. The last part describes means of protecting health hazard using various private insurance modifications.
