Diagnostic analyzes of an existing family house

The thesis is mainly a structural engineering investigation of an old family house in Mladecko, Opava district. The whole object was measured, documented and examined; and after finding a series of defects, the aim of the theoretical part became to describe problematics of humidity and moisture in buildings. Moreover, because of the absence of previous documentation, there was a reason to carry out a brief historical study of the evolvement of rustic buildings, that became the second part of the theoretical work.

Monitoring masonry buildings affected by the surrounding construction

This bachelor’s thesis deals with monitoring of a building object affected by a surrounding construction. In the first, theoretical part the defect of wall constructions, ways of measuring wall cracks and possibilities of a static load are described. The second, practical part deals with monitoring of a multi-storey building which was damaged by a building of a neighbouring object in the gap site. It covers the inspection and documentation of the damage and the description of the applied methods. The results of measuring are elaborated graphically and analysed in connection with interventions to the construction.

Evaluation failures of masonry buildings

This bachelor’s thesis deals with an evaluation of defects of masonry buildings. The theoretical part gives a sorting of defects of masonry buildings according to various criteria including types of cracks, defects of brick walls and columns and systems of cracks in masonry buildings with their causes. The pictures with examples of the defects are enclosed. The practical part gives the documentation of a typical failure. This documentation is about uneven subsiding of two different parts of the church of St. James in Brno. The experimental part describes the failure in building „C“ which is the part of the area of Masaryk university, Faculty of Arts. This experimental part is based on the measuring of the deformations. The results of the measuring and photos are included.

Technical condition of sewer pipes

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to define damages of sewer pipes from the constructional point of view and by selected damages set the limits according to valid standards in the Czech Republic. The beginning of this work is an introduction to the legislative and setting of the basic concepts. Another point of this part is to characterize particular materials and damages by which are they effected. It is the questions of ovalisation, longitudinal bending, positional deviation, mechanical wear, corrosion, crack, pipe break and collapse. The main point of this work are calculation part, where the limits for selected damages of particular materials are set one by one. The result are the summary tables that shows the limits and allow the comparison of these analysed sewer pipe materials.

Diagnostics of structures in the evaluation of faults and defects

This bachelor's thesis deals with research into methods of measuring and evaluating faults and defects in structures. A part of this thesis is an analysis of the legal issues in regard to investigations of structural defects in buildings. This thesis also includes a practical study of a family house in Černopolní street, which was affected by masonry cracks. The study details the collection and processing of data and analysis of the possible causes of the failures.

Buildings monitoring

The bachelor thesis is aimed at the passportization of the breakdowns and imperfections on the front facades of houses on Arne Nováka and Gorkého streets in Brno where the reconstruction of the area of Philosophical Faculty of the Masaryk University will be in progress. The first visual inspection was accomplished before the beginning of the construction works. On its base the monitoring sheets of the separate buildings have been compiled.

Zhodnocení technického stavu vybraného stavebního objektu

This bachelor's thesis describes in its theoretical part the individual planning processes and the materials which are used in the building construction. The thesis describes and analyses in detail various design solutions currently used for the constrction of buildings, which are designed for many different purposes. In the introductory section are described the basic concepts of civil, construction and land registry codes relating to buildings, vacant land and other real estates. In the document are also described elementary concepts which are related to arising defects and disorders which may occur from variety of defferent reasons. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the evaluation of the technical condition of the selected building. First goal of this chapter was to identify the used building materials and construction methods that were used in during the construction. Subsequently is described in detail the current technical condition of individual objects, detection of defects and failures, assessment of the causes and the final recommendation for actions to prevent the appearance of new ones. In its conclusion, the thesis discuss the possible effects of implemented or future actions and its influence on the technical condition of the building.

The issue of fault location on cables

This work is focused on the locating of faults of the cables laid in the ground. Firstly it describes particular types of cables and their basic physical characteristics. Following part deals with widely used methods for locating cable faults including their comparison. Than it describes DC measurements which are used to identify the type of fault. In the practical part there is a complete DC measurement on the specific cable and finding out the limits of usefulness regarding to the chosen methods for locating the failures.

This essay inquires into the issue of bigorexy and particular aspects interconnected to this disorder. The goal of this essay is to introduce the term of bigorexy in a comprehensible way as well as to get acquainted with lifestyle differencies of the handicapped individuals. Furthermore I intend to describe agents that can raise into bigorexy. To approach the issue of bigorexy from the point of view of the handicapped themselves and to attempt to define particular characters identical for all individualssuffering from bigorexy, prospectively to propose possible solutions within prevention, is in scope of the practical.
