Investment casting - defects list
Šmatelka, Jakub ; Staňková, Markéta (referee) ; Mikulka, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with defects which can occurred during investment casting process. In the first part, there is briefly described investment casting process in Alucast s.r.o. company. List of all defects occurring during manufacture is described in the second part. This catalog includes majority of defects from the cast proposal to finishing operations. There are also described causes, consequences and corrective actions.
Application of rapid prototyping technology in the investment casting technology
Čejka, Libor ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Kosour, Vojtěch (advisor)
To accelerate the production of prototype castings, it is necessary to shorten the time required for the production of investment casting, allowing just the Rapid Prototyping technology. This technology is being developed for several decades, but the application of the method of lost wax model is completely normal. Task of the thesis is to develop a literature search possibilities of mapping technology in Rapid Prototyping technology foundry investment casting wax model.
Investment casting waxes and measurements of their properties with regard to simulation software
Bochníček, Štěpán ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Kosour, Vojtěch (advisor)
Today, the use of simulations is increasing in order to reduce cost and complexity of production and also to prevent product defects. For this purpose, we use simulation programs, such as ProCAST. This program is designed for simulation of casting parts. In my bachelor thesis I focused on the methods of casting lost wax, where the model is made of wax mixture. In each simulation we have to obtain and specify the properties of the material to casting. I described these properties and methods of measurement in this bachelor thesis.
Present state of investment casting technology
Soukupová, Lucie ; Šmíd, Dušan (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The Bachelor’s thesis deals with the latest trends in investment casting technology, from wax pattern manufacture, ceramic shell manufacture, de-waxing, shell heat treatment up to metal pouring and finishing operation. In the first part, the outline of the world production and the usage of investment castings nowadays are introduced. The other parts of the project include the basic technique of using new technologies. The aim of this work is developing a literature search focused on the most modern equipment and raw materials that are used in investment casting technology and testing of wax mixtures and ceramic slurries.
Application of rapid prototyping in foundry industry
Krejčí, Zbyněk ; Macků, Martin (referee) ; Kosour, Vojtěch (advisor)
These bachelor thesis deals with the practical aplication of rapid prototyping at foundry industry. In the first part of the thesis is given list of the most important methods of rapid prototyping, those principles, advantages and disadvantages. And the second part is dealing with aplication of these methods at foundry industry, and its evaluation.
"Net Shape" technologies suitable for castings
Bartoš, Filip ; Zemčík, Ladislav (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
This thesis has the task to gather basic information about the technologies used in the manufacture of finished castings, i.e. without further processing, the so-called "Net-Shape". It is focused on technology investment pattern, the combustible model shell casting "Croning“, die casting pressure, die casting to ingot and centrifugal casting. All these technologies are compared in terms of specific features, range use, production economy, the advantages, disadvantages, the resulting quality of castings and other important factors.
Present state of investment casting technology
Mazůrek, Tomáš ; Zemčík, Ladislav (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis elaborated within the scope of full-time study of specialization B-STI Mechanical Engineering is dealing with procedures and methods of production castings using the lost wax casting technology. This literature review deals with the entire production process from casting molds for the production models to the ultimate control of manufactured parts and is structured exactly as the technological process in the manufacture of components. For each of the technological process are given commonly used procedures and new technologies that are developed and are now examined. The second part is specific examples of the use of technology investment pattern at present. The aim of this work is to create a bibliographic search, describing the evolution of technology, investment pattern and its possible use today.
Optimation of wax pattern manufacture - wax mixtures and its testing
Koběrský, František ; Kosour, Vojtěch (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with a general description and distribution of waxes and wax mixtures for investment casting in the first part. The second part is devoted to descriptions of various mechanical and physical properties of waxes and their testing.
Present state of investment casting technology - dewaxing technology
Šmíd, Michal ; Záděra, Antonín (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of de-waxing technologies connected with the production of investment castings (“lost wax” technology). Based on the study of the latest literature the most modern techniques of de-waxing are describe in this thesis. In the work is also mentioned recycling and reconstituting of the used waxes.
Possibilities of using modern methods in manufacturing of prototype castings
Němec, Jiří ; Kosour, Vojtěch (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
An overview of the most suitable RP technologies for making rapid casting prototypes is the target of this thesis.
