Data retention (not only) in police work: Analysis of police procedures (and another authorities) for requesting and use of call detail records of telephony and internet traffic and transaction data

Qualitative research on the arrangement of place in relation to personality psychology
HESSOVÁ, Tereza
The subject of this bachelor thesis looks at the problematics of the individual and their environment, how they interact and influence each other. The work has two sections, the theoretical one and the practical one. The first section relies on theoretical sources on the environment, the perception of it and the notion of privacy. It attempts to understand terms that relate to the environment itself and to the behavior in an environment, the structure of which influences to an extent both positively and negatively the behavior of the individual. It concentrates on the influence of psychology of architecture, the organizing of interiors, feng shui and the psychology of color and shape. In the second section I am arguing for qualitative research for the build-up of the practical section and then I apply the theoretical knowledge onto the research. I selected the research methodology, the goal and the range of research questions. In the analysis you find the interpretation of the research findings in key sections which are: satisfaction with the current state of their housing; preferred colors and shapes; the house, the furniture or the accessory as an expression of personality and the house as a place to live and rest.
Ensuring patient´s privacy during re-bandaging
BELLOVÁ, Daniela
This bachelor thesis investigates the way nurses ensure patient´s privacy in surgery departments during re-bandage. Beginning of the thesis´ theoretical part is focused on theoretical knowledge necessary for wounded patients care, the basic knowledge of anatomy and skin physiology. Next, what are a wound and what the healing process itself looks like. Which factors, either local or general, can negatively affect healing and how the care of particular nurse can contribute to it. Further, the process of wound treatment followed by post-surgery care and theoretical procedure of the bandaging itself, focusing on ensuring patient´s intimacy during the procedure. The entire knowledge of aseptic bandage procedures and good general patient care allows fast and uncomplicated healing. The number of re-bandages is decreased as well as the risk of violating the patients´ intimacy. Therefore, following chapters are focused on patient´s needs, his/her dignity and holistic approach of man. Patient´s needs are centered around self-concept and self-respect. Dignity and an emphasis on its compliance is the core of this thesis. The perception of intimacy, shame and nudity brings us to this issue. It is the reason this thesis was written and why it is so important to ensure such things as intimacy. Theoretical part of the thesis then brings information about legislative protection of privacy and highlights Patient´s rights and Code of Ethics for Nurses that should be remembered and followed by every nurse. Research in this thesis was conducted by the method of quantitative investigation in surgery departments in České Budějovice hospital, specifically in its surgical, orthopedic, traumatology, gynecology, urology, neurosurgery and cardiac surgery departments. Two kinds of survey were held. First was intended for patients hospitalized in surgery departments who underwent re-bandage and second one was given to the nurses working there. The aim of the thesis was to find out the way patient´s intimacy is ensured during re-bandaging. According to the highest number of positive answers from both clients and nurses, it was shown that nurses, when preparing to bandage patients, always ensure that the door is closed. When exposing a client, they make sure not to uncover his body more and longer than necessary. Despite this finding, we didn´t confirm the hypothesis number one: Surgery department nurses ensure patients intimacy during bandaging. The cause of the low number of achieved points was the failure to ensure patients intimacy in front of the other patients in the room, where majority of the bandaging were held. This finding contributed in the confirmation of the second hypothesis: Surgery department nurses do not use the equipment for ensuring patient´s intimacy during bandaging. Results from patient´s answers positively showed that nurses do not use either the curtain or the bandaging room. Therefore, clients are bandaged in front of other patients in the room. The kind of bandaging wasn´t taken into account in the survey. However, the intimacy is perceived differently by each individual and even its slightest disruption might be taken negatively. The third hypothesis: Intimacy violation occurs more frequently among long-term hospitalized patients, was confirmed. The results was not contributed by the majority of answers as with the previous hypothesis, but even small number of respondents confirming the decrease in quality during their hospitalization, could not be left unnoticed and was considered sufficient for confirming the hypothesis. The results of this bachelor thesis will serve as feedback for nurses and if it increases their interest in ensuring patients´ intimacy, then this work has fulfilled its purpose.

Right to privacy versus right to information
Škopec, Antonín ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Toman, Prokop (referee)
This paper concerns with collisions between two fundamental human rights -- between right to privacy and right to information. In some cases, one of these rights must be limited, in order to fulfill the other right. It is very difficult to decide, which of these rights should take precedence in these conflicts. This paper tries to deal with question whether there can be found a general principle, how to handle these collisions of rights.
Nursing care women during wirt abortion
KOUTNÍKOVÁ, Radka
A birth assistant should manage several roles when taking care of women {--} she should communicate well, be a good nurse, should show empathy to women, introduce new trends and knowledge into her work, discuss them with her colleagues, be able to defend her actions and contribute to the improvement of nursing care. My work uses a quantitative survey based on the collection of data through questionnaires combined with a qualitative survey using interviews to clarify survey questions. The survey was carried out from October to December 2008. Research subjects included birth assistants and women patients at Gynaecological and Obstetric Departments. Questionnaires for birth assistants were distributed in 5 hospitals in the Czech Republic (Ústí nad Labem, Jindřichův Hradec, České Budějovice, Třebíč and Brno). I distributed 150 questionnaires for birth assistants; 105 (70%) questionnaires were collected. 15 questionnaires were discarded for being incorrectly completed; the research uses the total of 90 (100%) questionnaires. Interviews with women patients were carried out in the hospital in Ústí nad Labem. I interviewed 8 patients, who had been informed about the structure of the interview. They agreed that the interviews were recorded by dictaphone; the interviews were subsequently transcribed and assessed in charts and tables. My bachelor thesis formulates four targets and four hypotheses. The survey confirmed the targets and the hypotheses. The bachelor thesis deals with women after abortion; it focuses on nursing care, information provided to women patients, the securing of their intimacy and the care rendered to them according to standards. During the collection of data, I did not encounter unwillingness or displeasure on the part of birth assistants or women patients. The approach of both these groups was positive; 70% of birth assistants and 100% of women patients cooperated on the research. Both groups were interested in the results of the research. The results and theoretical part of the bachelor thesis will be used as a source of information for birth assistants and women after abortion. Birth assistants promised to use the results of the work as inspiration for the improving of their care of women after abortion. The bachelor thesis may also be used as an information brochure for women after abortion and the general public. It may provide information for the production of leaflets available at Gynaecological and Obstetric Departments or lectures.
