The Activities of Roma District Mentor in Český Krumlov District

The thesis deals with the activities of Roma mentors in the district of Český Krumlov. The theoretical part descibes the service of Roma Mentor, projects of the Association for Probation and Mediation in Justice - citizens´ associations included in the Roma mentoring, Further, this part highlights the need for services for the target group through topics like criminality of Roma, Roma family/lineage, education and value system. Practical work includes the research methodology and presents the results of semi-structured interviews. The final discussion is devoted to the final evaluation and potential bias research.
The Concept of Death from the Perspective of the Professional Literature, Terminally Ill People, Their Family Members and Hospice Care Workers

This diploma thesis deals with the theme of changing the life values in the context of the death and dying. The theoretical part is divided into two sections. First of them is focused on the attitudes to the death by the various disciplines, the second one is focused on the life values, specifics and experience with the process of dying. The practical part maps the attitudes to the death by the three groups of respondents ? the group of dying clients of hospices, the group of their family members and the last is the group of the staff (of residence and home hospice care). There are compared their responses with the results of another researches and thesis dealing with analogous topic in the Discussion. The main result of this thesis is that the most important values accented by the contact of the coming death are not the material values (like money, possesion), but the values connected with the quality interpersonal relations and family background like esteem, love, loyalty, devotion and gratitude is.
The youth subcultures, the lifestyle and the value system of their sympathizers

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the issue of youth subcultures, lifestyle and value beliefs of young people that move around these groups and are considered to be representatives or their sympathizers. The topic is currently popular in the concept that these subcultures in the Czech Republic have been relatively little charted. There are no systematic studies to comprehensively analyze the lifestyle or social value orientation of its supporters. Therefore I would like to focus on these aspects in this thesis. The starting point for the theoretical part of the thesis is to define key concepts in the context of the issue. Further I will characterize adolescence as a specific developmental period, describe the lifestyle and value system of youth, schools dealing with the youth and at the end of the theoretical part I will describe selected youth subcultures with greater emphasis, and those of them that are the basis for the practical part of this work. The content of the practical part will be ten semi-structured interviews I will lead with the representatives of selected youth subcultures. It will therefore be a qualitative research, which in my opinion will be better suited to this topic because as it allows a deeper insight into the issue. Youth subculture that I chose are hooligans, metal fans, skaters, meatheads, and players of computer games. The research specimen I interviewed are ten probands - two of each subculture - that I got to know through acquaintances from their surroundings and through communication on social networks.
The child as a consumer and its impact on decision-making process of adults

This diploma thesis deals with the subject of advertisement and its effect on children consumer behavior. Contrary to adults children are not able to differentiate between the reality and fiction, in this case to differentiate if they really need or just want promoted product. The theoretical part brings information about the marketing communication channels, effects on consumers, basis of consumers purchase decision making processes, which factors influence consumers behavior and how the advertisement is perceived by particular children age groups. It informs also about specific aspects of advertisements focused on children and about actual trends in children consumer behavior. The target of this work is to find out how TV advertisement influences children consumer behavior in context of amount of children in family, in dependence on how much time parents spend with their children, which way they are raised, etc. Research of these facts is subject of practical part of this thesis
The Value Orientation of Czech and German Adolescents

This diploma thesis describes values and value orientation of czech and german students of high schools and practicle high schools. The goal of this thesis is to answer the question of different perception of values between adolescents in Czech Republic and Germany (Bavaria). For the purpose of this study a method of questionnaires and essays were used. The main means of research were: ?Test of orientation value? and the LOGO test from Elisabeth Lukas.

The diploma thesis is of theoretic-empirical character with focus on values and value system of university students these days. First part deals with following concepts: adolescence, cognitive changes, emotionality, identity, sexuality, socialization, generational conflict. Further it specifies and explains what is value, its types and historical background, then evaluation and attitudes. The last part of theoretical section discusses young generation of today, covers moral and value development, future objectives, summarizes the overall view of youth of today with regards to executed research. It also reflects value changes of German adolescents. The practical section was carried out through questionnaire survey. Obtained information served for comparison of value system between students of Pedagogical Faculty at University of South Bohemia and university students from Augsburg, Bayreuth and Braunschweig. The goal of this thesis is thus to compare the value system between Czech and German university students.
Analysis of Payment Systems in the Czech republic and the Netherlands

This thesis deals with the analysis of interbank payment systems in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The paper describes the fundamental characteristics of payment systems, including their division by various aspects. The thesis contains an overview of legislation affecting the operation of payment systems in the European Union in both analyzed countries. Furthermore, an analysis of interbank payment systems in the Czech Republic and the Netherlandsis performed, while in the Netherlands, there are two systems, large-value system TARGET2-NL and retail system Equens, the Czech Republic has only CERTIS system that performs both large-value and retail transactions. In the last part of the thesis there is detailed analysis of statistical information on these payment systems for the period from 2005 to 2009.
Conscience and Value System Development As Part of Christian Education in Childhood

The bachelors assignment deals with the question of conscience development and value system as part of Christian education in childhood. The work describes conscience in the framework of historical development, including modern findings of notable researchers. It further maps the historic background of values, their function and kinds and also the basic factors influencing their formation. It then deals with axiology as a science studying values in the moral meaning of the word, and also with Christian education, especially its specification. As a conclusion, an example of an educational system in the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren is put forward.
Values of contemporary university students

The main focus of this thesis is to examine the values and value systems of today`s college students. The goal is to compare these value systems among students of the Pedagogical Faculty and the Faculty of Health and Social Studies, University of South Bohemia. The theoretical part offers information on the term value, the typology of value orientation, the historical background of contemporary psychology of values, the forming of a value system and on curricular documents. In the practical part, which was carried out in the form of a questionairre, I present my research results and a summary of value orientations among students of the above mentioned faculties.
