Construction efficiency of low-energy residential buildings
Zgúthová, Katarína ; Šauer, Petr (advisor) ; Dvořák, Antonín (referee)
Construction of low-energy residential buildings (i.e. houses with low energy demand) in the Czech Republic is not as common as in other countries in the region. This thesis examines the reasons for such development and whether or which obstacles potential buyers face. The analysis of the economic choice between "regular" house and a low-energy building will be primarily based on comparison of basic parameters of both types of constructions. Data for this research will be taken from commercial developers. Quality analysis in the form of detailed interviews with developers, architects and potential buyers will follow. The last section of this thesis will deal with the approach of Czech media towards low-energy development. Presentation of this issue to the public will be examined by the frequency and content of reports.
Economic return earth-sheltered houses and their influence on environment
Spoustová, Michaela ; Dvořák, Antonín (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
The subject of this work is comparing economic return and influence on environment by earth-sheltered house and classic house. Attention will be concentrated on construction process these houses from the beginning to approval of construction, the advantages and disadvantages resulting from the construction, which will be compared with neighboring states, especially with Germany and Austria. The work first briefly describes earth-sheltered houses, their history and use renewable energy sources, then focuses on comparing the two types of houses. The main objective of this work is to confirm the hypothesis about the benefits of building earth-sheltered houses, despite high initial costs and increased interest in population of these houses in recent years. To calculate the repayment time will be apply cost -- benefit analysis and questionnaire survey. At the conclusion work summarizes the results obtained and confirm of reject the hypothesis examined.
Identify and evaluate the energy balance of small farms.
SEDLÁČEK, Radomír
The work deals with energy consumption in selected agricultural farms and their evaluation and comparison with norms. The theoretical part describes selected farms and production areas in which it is located. The practical part includes a methodological description of the measuring and calculation of the diesel oil consumption. Furthermore, comparison and evaluation of the results of the two farms with the directions.
Weather prediction in energy sector
Pelikán, Emil ; Brabec, Marek ; Brabec, Tomáš ; Eben, Kryštof ; Juruš, Pavel
In this contribution we summarize our experiences with a regional weather and air quality prediction system (called MEDARD), which is operationally used in the Institute of Computer Science in Prague. The system is based on the numerical weather prediction model MM5 and on the chemistry transport model CAMx. We discuss some applications of the system in energy demand forecasting and in other fields of energy industry.
Approach to selecting laptop computers with regard to its energy intensity
Habarta, Přemysl ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Luboš (referee)
The work is focused on the energy consumption of individual components in portable computers. The first part of this thesis describes the basic components and accessories for portable computers with regard to energy consumption is aimed at the description of the technology used in computers for power management and software through which you can use to set. The second part contains the methodology for the selection of computers with respect to its energy consumption, which is verified at the end of work. The aim of my work is connecting the world of portable computers and Green ICT to design a methodology that will lead to the selection of a portable computer. The work is intended for all those interested in the issue of laptops.
Econometric analysis of energy consumption in a selected brewery
Peclinovský, Zdeněk ; Pánková, Václava (advisor) ; Lejnarová, Šárka (referee)
This thesis deals with a real application of econometric methods to the analysis of electric energy consumption in a significant Czech brewery. The main objective is to construct a model predicting the electric energy consumption in the production process in the next week based on various data measured in the last 2 years. Results will be used in the costs management of the company.

Martinů, Iva ; Dvořák, Antonín (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
This diplomate thesis will have two parts, theoretical and practical. The first part of this diplomate thesis contains short analyse of consumption and prices of energy which we need on heating. In the next part will be described ecological (low -- energy) housing in general, which would have protect the environment. The second part will be about charkteristics and criterias, fundamental elements of low -- energy housing and main aims of low -- energy housing. The following part of this thesis will contain information about energy balance of houses, concretely which heat gains and losses exit. For construction of these buildings is very important building -- energy conception of building and technical arrangement of houses. The last part will be about the contemporary trend of ecological building -- up in the Czech Republic. This thesis will continel in practical part, on research of the Czech market.
