Evaluation of the effectiveness of selected investments, including the selection of the optimal method of financing
VAŠMUCIUSOVÁ, Eva
The goal of this thesis was to evaluate efficiency of selected investment and to identify adequate form of financing in regards to ensuring stability of company and minimization of cost. The company owned an old building and decided to rebuild it into a hall for breading broilers. While drafting this thesis, a subsidy was applied for; however it has not been determined yet whether or not it would be granted. Based on that, investment efficiency was evaluated for both scenarios. Company's 2012 financial accounts were used as input data. Net present value was used to calculate the investment efficiency. Two scenarios were considered: capital expenditure excluding the subsidy, and capital expenditure with subsidy granted. Based on the results, it has been determined that both investment scenarios are worth a realization. Next part was a risk analysis, where based on analysis of sensitivity the death rate was increased by one percentage point. It was followed by break-even point, which is the point at which the investment would not be worth it. The result showed that the project carries no risk. The only risk factor here is broiler death rate, which should fluctuate around 6%.

MALENICKÁ, Iva
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of subsidies, and gives an overview on their structure and basic programmes offered by the funds, from which it is possible to draw grants and it subsequently informs about the conditions for the payment of subsidies. There also offers information about accounting and tax aspects. It focuses on the describtion of management of an agricultural entity operating in South Bohemia. The thesis elaborates the most important aspects of the application of exercicing costs reduction in the managment of Agricultural Cooperative in the absence of subsidies.Yet subsidies have a significant impact on the economic situation of the company. In the absence of any subsidy a Cooperative Entity would surely go bankrupt. This paper evaluates two cases to illustrate such eventuality. The first is maintenance cost analysis of grassed-areas, the second case- finding costs on the unemployed. We come to the conclusion that agricultural businesses today are not in a position to finance its activity only from their own resources and are significantly dependent on the subsidy policy, mainly of the European Union.

Hájková, Kateřina ; Slavík, Jan (advisor) ; Malý, Vítězslav (referee)
The purpose of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of structural funds of the European Union in water protection in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the research is whether public resources are used cost-effectively and whether they are not being wasted. The theoretical basis of the subsidy's issue as a tool of public policy, are discussed in the first part of the thesis. As a consequence the effectiveness and efficiency of subsidies as a main tool of European Regional Policy are also discussed. General conclusions are demonstrated on specific statistical water protection data of the Czech Republic in the second part of this thesis. Several patterns which show problems decreasing efficiency and effectiveness of expended resources were used in the research. Analysis showed that investments into water protection are necessary and needed from social point of view, but the way the subsidies are provided is controversial. Finally, the thesis attempts to discuss alternative tools which could gain the same results with lower costs.
Evaluation of economic instuments used in nature protection, with special attention paid to the landscape care programmes (case study of the Třeboňsko PLA and South Bohemian Region)
FRYŠOVÁ, Jana
The Bachelor Thesis also includes mapping and assessment of economic instruments supporting nature protection and landscape conservation emphasizing the related programmes which are demonstrated on the example of the Protected Landscape Area of Třeboňsko and South Bohemian Region. Background materials were analysed and interviews with the relevant employees working for the given authorities were conducted in order to acquire all necessary information and required analyses. The result of the analysis examining the period between 2006 and 2011 proves the difference of the financial acquisition for different organisations subject to the given survey followed by the possibility of influencing their amount as a consequence. It also emphasizes the difference in ?price ceilings? for the activities concluded within the actions related to the conservation of landscape and natural heritage and values and the preserved specially protected territories and areas belonging to Natura 2000 network. The period subject to the survey reveals that financing of common nature conservation and landscape protection of specially protected territories and areas belonging to Natura 2000 network was concentrated on national programmes and financial means provided by local administrative units. By comparing the scopes of competency of the Regional Authority ? South Bohemian Region and the Administration of Protected Landscape Area of Třeboňsko led to the conclusion that both entities were using similar instruments for nature and landscape protection.
The Importance of drawing funds from PRV Axis IV for development of the chosen region
STASKOVÁ, Jana
As a topic, for my Bachelor thesis was chosen The Importance of drawing funds from PRV Axis IV for development of the chosen region. This thesis is devoted to Rural development program of Czech Republic - focused on the Axis IV. Leader - in the South Bohemia region and specific Local action group. The theoretic part is about the regional policy in genereal, about the goals of EU regional policy, structural funds and Rural Development Program. The main objective of my thesis was to analyze specific conditions for use of Rural Development Program. The selected region was the area around Hluboká - Lišov. These conditions were evaluated on the basis of already approved and financed funds. To achieve this goal, I used the methods of questionnaire and statistical analysis. The evaluated questionnaires showed that there is an interest of the community for the grant funds from Rural Development Program Axis IV Leader. However, it should be noted that in the current programming period for the years 2007 - 2013 there is still a large number of municipalities, that do not have enough information needed for the program, mostly, the municipalities are not the members of LAG or don?t use other grant sources. Another reason, why the municipalities don?t apply for grant funds, is the economical reason. In the conclusion there are some recommendations for solution of issues like how to provide the grant as a deposit, problematics of the next programming period 2014-2020 and so on. In the last part, the attachments connected with this issue can be found.

The practical part of the essay is focused on an analysis of the possibilities of drawing finances for the regeneration of the housing fund. Using calculations, I use the method of comparing financial returnability IPRM with the subsidy title PANEL, and the regeneration program known as "Green to Savings" (Zelená úsporám). The administrative process of the project is carried out in mutually interconnected activities. The conclusion shows the realization of work actually carried out with practical examples and an assessment of expected benefits in the housing fund.
