Assessment of Efficiency of waterborne penetrations for cement substrates
Hlawiczka, Jakub ; Tupý, Michael (referee) ; Petránek, Vít (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is addressing the issue of using primer coatings for cementitious surfaces. It analyzes reasons of using primer coatings and specific features of application. There are mentioned different species of surface treatment for cementitious surfaces which is followed by methods of surface treatment by variety cementitious screeds, and self-leveling flooring systems. Then it is looked into general characterization of polymer dispersions (especially water-based dispersions) which have typical attribute for primers. In experimental part of thesis are compared ten different waterborne primers. Testing is briefly described and evaluated.

The influence of the preparation and editing of test specimens for testing the durability of concrete and concrete products
Šťastný, Antonín ; Brožovský, Jiří (referee) ; Hubáček, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis examines the influence of the preparation and editing of test specimens for testing the durability of concrete and concrete products. In particular it monitors the effect of surface treatment and storage of test samples on durability of concrete. The theoretical part describes the mechanism of damage to the samples exposed to salt scaling. It further describes the test methods, which identifies and describes the durability of concrete and concrete products according to the test standards in force in the Czech Republic. Three types of concerete was proposed and mixed in the experimental part of this work. They were using the same raw materials and were differed in degree of aeration. Samples were made from each types of concrete. Thay had different surface treatment, various degrese of saturation before the salt scaling test and the samples were compared with each other.

Plasma coatings of phosphated steels II
Pokorný, P. ; Mastný, L. ; Brožek, Vlastimil
This article follows the introductory part, presented at the conference APROCHEM 2012 and evaluates the possibility of using different kind of phosphate coatings for the pretreatment of mild steel intended for plasma sprayed ceramic coatings. The phosphate conversion coating has to improve the corrosion resistance of coated steel and also to improve and extend the adhesion of ceramic coating to mild steel surface. Selection the most appropriate phosphate coating (zinc, zinc-calcium, manganese and „three-cations“ phosphate) was established to study the dehydration curves by means of DTA and TGA analysis with subsequent analysis of morphology, integrity and composition of the coating after each dehydration section.Samples were exposed at 200 °C for 10 hours. The measurement results showed that the most stable is manganese phosphate. Plasma deposition of corundum was carried out low-temperature plasma generator WSP ®. The corrosion resistance of coated samples with different phosphate

Surface roughness and resistivity of thin films
Franc, J. ; Novotný, Jan
Surface finish of alumina thin film substrates was measured with stylus profilometer. A connection between the obtained values of Ra and the thin film resistance was studied. No correlation can be found owing to big stylus radius and computation method used in profilometer.
